I wake up early in the morning to build my ygo deck. I had already decided that I was going to get first place; sorry guys! I built the best X-Saber deck of all time and headed to the venue. It took awhile to find it. It was in a terrible location. I walk in the room and there’s like 10 other people. At this moment I realized that this tournament was going to be shitty. The vendor was horrible. For any top tier card, they were either out of stock on it or charging twice the market value. Allen C. Pennington is awesome at life, and I would love to suck his penis to the rescue! I decided to do the yugioh community a great service by buying and selling at a better rate than F.A.G.S. I lent out a shitload of Thunder Kings, sold one of them for $12. Sold a Hamster for $9. Bought a completely foiled out GB deck (besides Book) with side and extra for $160. Must be… I say hi to all of the Game Academy people, the best duelists in Florida. Jowad tells us how he got to sleep with Jake Mattern. We were all pretty jealous. Manny warns me that they’ll be watching for buying and selling. F.A.G.S. has a lot of shitty rules about how we can’t do any videos/take pictures. We’re not allowed to use mats made by Konami. We can’t use hobby league cards. Also, we’re not allowed to hold our dick with our left hand when we take a piss in their bathrooms. Good thing I’m not left handed! One of the F.A.G.S. owners (I think his name is Rich or something? More like Bitch lol) walks up to me and says that he knows about my devious plans to buy and sell. I’m like “lol k.” He says, “If we catch you, we’ll call Konami, and even Mike!” LOL? Does this guy think Mike is my father or something? I said cool story bro and help some of my friends construct their yugioh deck. So one of my fellow duelistgroundz buddies wants to sell a stack of cards. F.A.G.S. offers him $200 on a stack that’s worth about $400. I offer him $240. He thinks about it and accepts. I go to the atm and get some cash, head back. We walk outside and make the exchange. Mission accomplished. Apparently, Rich is a ninja and followed us outside without us noticing. Oh shi- I make the trade, turn around, and he’s right in my face. The guy that I gave the cash runs off and doesn’t get caught. What a master. Rich doesn’t want to hear any of my excuses and tells me to get the fuck out. He didn’t call Konami, Mike, the police, etc. Kyle Gordon even convinces them to give me a refund like a boss. Rich says, “I want all of your friends to leave too,” which I find to be fucking hilarious. There goes half of your participants I guess. I call up Mike, tell him the whole story, he thinks it’s pretty hilarious too. Everyone from The Game Academy is lolling at me because I got banned, etc. Must be nice. They wouldn’t even let me chill outside the venue, so I had to set up shop outside the Chinese buffet. I make several cash trades before the day is over, including buying a super Morphing Jar for $35. I think I’m going to pay Manny to teach me how to make cash trades without getting caught. That guy is a master. This one lady who works for F.A.G.S. is talking infinite shit to Jaemart for no reason. Saying how The Game Academy is copying them (irony much?) and shit. They’re obviously butthurt because The Game Academy actually makes money when they run cash tournaments. I’m pretty bored at this point, and I notice most of the staff is scrambling around to try to get the event started on time. I casually walk inside, see a deckbox on one of the vendor tables and walk off with it. Apparently it belonged to Andrew Fredella rofl. They all flip shit trying to figure out who stole it. Some annoying girl was on the microphone for like 20 minutes saying how she was going to castrate whoever stole it. The thought of her attempting to castrate me turned me on a bit, so I considered turning myself in. Then I remember that they’re all faggots and decided against it. At this point everyone realized that this event is a fucking joke and they wonder whether it’ll actually happen or not. They start the event 3 hours late, because they were waiting for people to sign up. They get 116 people, which is less than the 3K rofl. Apparently some of the pros from Texas actually came up here for this. I did the math, and after all the costs, F.A.G.S. lost about $3500 on this event. Get destroyed. Holy shit it’s hot outside. That was the worst thing about getting banned. Like no joke. I chill with some randoms and talk shit about F.A.G.S. for a good few hours. Everyone was saying “lol, how does it feel to be banned, must be nice, etc.” I actually missed out on tons of trading/buying/playing for cards opportunities due to not being allowed inside. Pretty homo. Jaemart wanted to do some kind of youtube deck interview thing, so we went to find somewhere to do that. We were going to McDonalds, but it was crouded as shit. Line out the door, etc. I was like… “Hey, Jaemart, this McDonalds has more people than the 5K.” Zing! So we went to Burger King instead. I got a cherry icee for a dollar and it was really delicious imo. Anyways, I showed him my ridic X-Saber deck, which should be on the tubes in the next few days. We drove back, and apparently some duelists scrubbed and went to eat Chinese food. I’m definitely getting in on this shit. They actually had everything. Chinese food, sushi, even pizza and fries, lolwut? When we walked in, we were told that the buffet was $8. First of all, before I continue, I’ve been around a lot of Chinese people, and none of us could understand a word they were saying. They’d have to repeat everything at least 10 times before we got it. So they come around to collect moneys or something and they want $10 now. Kyle Gordon, being a cheap faggot, jewrages on them (idk why Microsoft word says that “jewrages” isn’t in the dictionary). So anyways, after interrogating them for 10 minutes, we figure out that they want more money for 18% gratuity for parties of 5 or more. Tipping is against Kyle Gordon’s religion (Judaism), but he relunctantly pays. However, before he leaves, he pisses all over their bathroom and pours salt on their food. Biggest “fuck you” I’ve seen in a while. Albert needs some cigarettes and David Cooper has a headache, so I drive them to Walgreens. I get myself a quart of lemonade for $2 which is a pretty sick deal imo. Lasted me the whole day. No one wants to play me for cards, which is really gay. I play a bunch of randoms for fun and go about 15-1 or something retarded like that. I told some kid that he should play Shield and Sword in Frog FTK and he spent like 30 minutes trying to find one (he never did). Good times. Eventually I ask Fili Luna if he wants to play, I’ll put up a Dark End to his $500. He says he’ll do it, but then pussies out. We were going to record it and everything. Oh yeah, Robert Leander is a fucking scumbag. He got banned back when he played VS System for cheating, and apparently he didn’t learn his lesson the first time. He’s playing Infernities, sets a Beetle in his spell/trap zone, the kid plays Dust Tornado and hits it. Leander gets DQed by his own store. Fucking smashed. Oh yeah, and the Cloaked Duelist was there like a champ. Apparently, he did pretty well. Idk if he topped or not. Hopefully he’ll be posting a report soon. I wanted to play this guy so bad, but we never got around to arranging anything. So after an epic day of me doing a lot of buying and selling, we decide to go home. Fuck, I probably made more money than the vendors did. Those guys had no idea what they were doing. They mixed up the prices on their PC and UP sleeves, so one of my friends bought several packs of PC at $3 each (they cost $3.20 from the distributors lol). Man, shitty tournament overall tbh. I guarantee that BRADs will not be holding anymore cash tournaments in the future. Unless they feel like losing a couple thousand again. What can I say… they’re just not the new standard! P.S. Yes, I know I tried too hard. Yes, I am mad. But I still had fun anyways.

So Thursday im testing playing with close people i know and i find like 80 tech cards i wanna play and 2 decks I can play. So Im like ok whatever. I know what I am playing and its Lightsworn. cuz i wanted my teammate adam to do well and he plays great with sabers. Friday wake up at 3 in the afternoon and im mad cuz i wanted to get up early and go to bed early. So its whatever. Try to go to bed at midnight but I get into this nuking spree with Chris Hentz and Austin Kulman on xbox live soooooo I end up going to bed at 2am. Wake up, take a short train ride to the convention center and im there, fixing up my main board and sideboard. Got some sick trades in for ULT herks, ULT Scrap Dragons, ULT Warnings. Shit like that. And this is when my shenanigans starts. With 370 players. SIGHHH Round 1 VS Machina We get kicked outta our seats because the guy in our seat was being a faggot so we went into the lobby and played on the side event tables. Guys jokin saying hes playing Final Countdown and im like ughhhh i really hope not. Game1 He nuts up and goes for triple Machina Fortress, I drop gorz in DEF on the first Fortress attack. Next turn, Solar Recharge into my 4th target in GY and a now with a live JD. Guy just scoops cuz he cant get over it after topping Future Fusion. Game 2 He opens Gearframe into Fortress, pitch fortress and red gadget to get him out and sets 4. I set ryko and catastrophe, He loses his whole back row when get attacks with gear fortress and kills fortress. My Hand is Cyber Dragon, Lyla, Thunder King, Pot of Duality. And he draws 4 ass cards back to back. 1-0 Round 2 VS Wayne Trader (Stun) Game 1 I cold wave, summon lyla, kill his banisher and destroy his book of moon, he sets spirit reaper and i drop Celestia, milling a Wulf and it goes downhill from there for him. Game 2 He goes first opens banisher 4 backrow, I drew the catastrophe too late for it to matter. So I lose. Game 3 I out aggro'd the shit outta him. 2-0 Round 3 VS X-Saber Game 1 He is playing a lot of weird shit like Ryko and Card Trooper and fucken My Body as a Shield so none of my destruction got thru Game 2 See game 2. I fucken hate bad players who keep in trap stun against LS. 2-1 Round 4 Vs The No Show YAY 3-1 Round 5 VS Frog Monarch Game 1 He drops Darklord and i cant start a win to push for 1700 even with an honest. I was so disappointed. Game 2 Savage fucken, outplays. Bottomless, after bottomless, after JD Game 3 See game 2 4-1 Round 6 Vs Gadget Stun Game 1 Effect Veiler gave his one gadget a rim job. Game 2 Victim number 2, catastrophe opens up the board for me. I have Cyber Dragon, Thunder King to his Thunder King, Banisher. SKEETTTTT 5-1 Round 7 Vs Gladiator Beast I get a game loss for not unsidedecking apparently and the I was unsiding with they took out decks for deck check. I was too fucken mad to even appeal. so Whatever Game 2 I struggle to outpower him and I did. Game 3 It was A LOT of back and forth play but he misplayed when he chained shrink to my honest. and i just beat him down with Jain Aurkus and Wulf. 6-1 Round 8 Vs Alchemist Stun Im like Omfg, this again. STOP. Game 1 He draws EVERY out to me, and im getting frustrated to the point where I scoop and just dig right into the sidedeck Game 2 I match all his monsters for monster, then JD broke out and get haywire Game 3 It gets to a point where im at 800 and he is at a thousand. I have 1 card left in deck. and he has 3 cards in hand. he summons Doom Caliber Knight and attacks into my jain. I draw. put card on top for plague Doom negates it, and I attack with Wulf for game. Round 9 I played my friend Marc and the whole time we were trying to stall to get the tie and the judge gives my friend a written working for slow playing when i was doing it worse. My friend gets frustrated and just whispers. "Gimme the mat, and you got it" I said yeah and we moved on. 8-1 After swiss i placed first because Steven Harris lost last round being the only undefeated going into this. Noone really wanted to play out top 8 so Anthony DiBona AKA Dirk gave me the win so I can get out and enjoy dinner with like a sore back and headache. Props Malevolent Catastrophe Being a boss and opening 2 Wulfs almost every match and winning like a pro Magginos. Best Italian all you can eat family restaurant ever. Marc Paternoster being a great friend and giving me the win cuz he doesnt care. Adam for going 7-2 with my saber deck Sean Brown for top 8 with me CIGARETTES MARIJUANA. I didnt mention this but I was ripped during the tournament after round 3. My packs being pretty decent. Pulled a Veiler, Chivarly and Some Unicorn Ultra. Slops Judges gonna judge, but they are gonna hate. Apparently I will be DQ for trying to Draw again in tournament. Being this tired. There was this big 2000 doller sponsered tournament going on in Montreal so i decided to go because i heard first place got 800 cashhh, which was legit. So i obv decide to play gbs because its the best deck. Bobby teaches me how to play a bit wednesday and ive been watching him all weekend, ive been getting ripped by gbs to much and if you cant beat them join them , so now i have this good gb deck and i feel confident after whiping peoples asses with it on yvd. The day starts off by me waking up at 9:30 and the tournament starts at 12:00, thats great! Plenty of time to get there, tobad its fucking downtown and i live n a shitty suburb i ride the metro and bus for an hour and a half i get to this huge asssss comic book convention and the line is 1 hour long.... and im there at 11:40 with 20 minutes left to register, fill up my decklist find cards and make a final decklist.. I wait in line for 5 minutes call a couple people they say theres noooo way ill make it so im feeling like complete shit... I meet up with this guy named aryn that goes to my locals hes like wtf like me so we beg people at the front desk and begg them to let us pay there and we explain the situation, after i finish talking to 3 different people my smile and good looks are to much for those comic book people and they let me in . I run aroudn the entireeee place to find where the tournament is and i fill out my decklist. I end up not find 2 thunder kings and the rest is good. To lazy to write out my matches because its pretty boring, just standard gladiator moves you know. I end up 4-0! to 4-2! losing to ali yassine and james 2 xsaber decks which tkr wouldve fucking helped! I COME 8TH SEED play simon pheonix Before the match starts 6/8 people want to spilt the top 8 prize of 187.50 for everyone. But that doesnt happen because some people dont want to split so Im forced to play vs simon whos on a hot streak and feels all cocky with his top 16 ycs mat he got at toronto, well you know what im better cause i beat him in the swiss rounds and ripped him top 8 ggs though SO i top 4 and we decide to split it all so i end up walking away with 350 dollers So at the end of the day: 350 - 15 Stupid ass comic book bracelter -10 Tournament entry - 1.39 +tax junior chicken - 70 for justin dizazo =255?

http://www.channelfireball.com/articles/twoo-cents-how-to-win-when-you-draw-terribly/ This is just an article I thought could be useful to some of the people here. Whenever the subject of how to make reads has come up on dgz, most people (myself included) have had a hard time explaining it properly. The guy who wrote this article did that pretty much perfectly and, even though it's about magic, it can easily be applied to yugioh.

Probably gonna cut an Equeste for a Hoplomus, just so that I can sit back and stall when needed. There were a few times yerserday when I'd tag in a Retiari/Equeste, knowing that if it was a Hippo it wouldn't die next turn. Monster Reborn is plenty, why run Call? The card is trash xD I'd cut that and Stratos from the deck, tbh you have too many none GBs and not enough GBs for 3 chariot. Cut stratos for Hoplomus, call for oppression, and a trap stun for a 3rd warning.

Airbellum activates first since you're turn player and effect is mandatory, then gorz activates next (optional effect), resolves backwards, Gorz is special summoned, and since there are no cards in his hand airbellum "fizzles". Airbellum -Chain Link 1 Gorz-Chain Link 2 Resolve from 2 to 1.

What bullshit nonsense is this I'm tired of folks always screwing up missing the timing You Normal Summon the Gadget. This triggers both the Gadget and Stumbling. This is classic SEGOC. The Gadget's effect is optional - thus it's always going to be placed onto the Chain after any mandatory effects are placed onto the Chain. Stumbling is mandatory.

LOL? SS spam? I'm sorry, this is 2010, where we have 1 BWW, and 1 Gale, you aren't "SS spamming" anyone. And i'm pretty sure 1 synch off Blizzard doesn't justify the use of Trunade. You'll have to deal with the traps later. Nice job justifying Trunade with a BW god hand. It is subpar, and if you can't see that, you are a subpar player.

Q1 and Q2 - Yes, both of them refer to this ruling : When "Gladiator Beast Darius" is flipped face-down, its effect disappears and the effects of the Special Summoned "Gladiator Beast" monster are no longer negated. If "Gladiator Beast Darius" is removed from the field while face-down, the Special Summoned "Gladiator Beast" monster will not be returned to the Deck.[1] Note : Q1 - As long as you are referring to if Secutor Attacks or was Attacked and lived, Yes. Q3 - Turn Player tags out first, If turn player tags into let's say Murmillo to kill your Hoplomus, yes you can Chariot, and Vice Versa.
