I know. I was saying. I have 2 Tops and 1 Feature right now and a lot of people know me. I'm saying at the YCS I will probably go 4-0 into a Round 5 Feature. Then I'll have 2 Tops and 2 Features. and yah I know I understand out saying I'll do something than scrubbing. If I Top the YCS I will have 2 Regional Tops, 2 Features and a YCS top. Hell, I may even get farther than I thought I would. I'm just saying I'm a bit well known in my area just from one Feature Match and 2 Regional Tops. I'm sure I'll be known more if I get my 2nd Feature and a YCS top. but I understand where you're coming from with that. I almost won a Jump and got 2 feature matches and no one knows who I am. Good luck on your road to fame from Yugioh broski. I almost won a jump, topped 1 other, and topped nats with 3 feature matches and a few regional tops and no one knows who I am. /endenlargingmyownepeentoproveapoint. This is directed at Thepro90 Ok I was reading this thread and I am not trying to put anyone down, say anyone isn't as good as they say they are, or put down anybody's acomplishments,....but honestly creds mean practially nothing in this game anymore, esp. regional tops so please Thepro90 if you want people to know that you are good and respect you don't go bragging about topping a couple of regionals and getting a featured match, people won't say, "oh he must be good!" They will most likley look at what you have done and laugh about it. This is not trying to put you down, but more trying to give you advice on how to go about gaining the respect of the yugioh players around the world. For example when I sit down to play someone at a table during a YCS or something, I don't say, "Hi there I'm Billy Brake, I have topped 27 regionals,I've got more feature matches than I can remember, 6 SJC/YCS tops, including getting 2nd and 3rd, and also topped a Nationals!" Reputation is not something you have to shove on people, it is something that happens after playing for awhile at a top level, people will eventually begin to recognize you for it. As I said this is meant in a way to help you out Thepro90, If you want the respect of other players, and want to prove you are good at this game then just go out and play and don't just sit on the internet and try to talk about how good you are.

holy fuck shut the fuck up you are god fucking awful. anything other than going x-2 until the last round is scrubbing a jump you fucking idiot. losing to a deck that top16'd a previous is irrelevant because the person running it clearly had a stroke before your game. nobody gives a shit if you went 4-0 then lost a billion other times to irrelevant shit eat some cement and harden the fuck up you little BITCH. also gj you lucked out dan lamartina who gives a shit u cant win them all (this goes for you to the extreme). tl;dr enjoy wasting money to get to philly. if u top then it will just increase my disgust in this game even further.

I'm not embarassing myself. I'm just telling people about how skilled I am at the game. I have a high chance at topping and I probably will. Like I said, when I top, everyone on here is open to being flamed and it will happen . + this post if you can't wait to see this dude scrub.

I'll be waiting to see this kid get a round 1 feature, savagely misplay, then go 0-2 still convincing himself he has a shot and end up dropping at 1-4. The win of course being a hard fought 2-1 over an 8 year old kid running a 58 card deck with no side.

The story goes back to times before I was born, it's that bad. Let's just say that the head of financial aid has said to me, in all seriousness, "you are the reason we have aid programs separate from federal grants and loans. you are why the advancement department needs to raise more money. i used your story to tell them 'we need more.' it worked." There's usually a lot of baggage that comes with first-generation college students. I prove this point.

I think it's possible to be legendary for just one album's work. I think Cyndi Lauper did it (She's So Unusual is her only good album really imo, and I still hear her get brought up a lot more than I probably "should"). It could be argued My Bloody Valentine did it. So I suppose Neutral Milk Hotel could have done it. You won't see me making that argument though, I don't even like Aeroplane Over the Sea or whatever.

Don't be a shithead. The kid hasn't tried anything worth shit anywhere, and is legitimately the product of simply being followed by a person out to negrep everything he posts. Or maybe it's people. Can't remember right now. Regardless, I'm noticing a track record of negreps from similar sources for nearly every post, most of which are completely, utterly without reason for a posrep or a negrep. In short, I might have to ban my first abuser of the negrep soon. You're not the problem, that much is certain, but don't contribute to the problem. shut up faggot

At the risk of sounding like a poster who won't be named, some thoughts on the psychology of traps and some practical applications. ******************** I submit the hypothesis that the trap card represents fear. Fear of mirror force, fear of torrential, fear of solemn, these are the fears that keep players in check, the fears that keep an army of monsters garrisoned in the camp instead of fighting on the field. The greatest fear is the fear of the unknown - that any one of those backrows could be a devastating mirror force. Sometimes these fears are rational, sometimes they are not. Good players are masters of both sides of traps, just as good commanders are masters of men's psychology - both of their troops and the enemy's. In recent formats, players were forced to be bold due to the existence of storm, and thus fearful players who hid behind a wall of traps (in this case, their own fear - of getting attacked) got amply punished by storm. Now that the storm has cleared, it seems again that players can relax into fearful ways of playing - hiding behind walls of traps (the "trench war" gamestate). The triumph of fear over balls? There are so many laughable games now with both players topping backrow after backrow and no monsters, two generals without armies. In this way, fear shows itself to not be a weapon, only an accessory to them. Traps cannot attack or defend (in a strict sense), they can only amplify or ameliorate the effects of attack and defense. With very few exceptions, no trap can inherently generate advantage - only monsters can. Likewise, no war is won with fear alone, armies are the necessity. Hoey's thoughts on decree and backrow has helped me make more connections. I thought back to what Ricardo Rangel observed - people tend to run a lot of traps at the start of formats, as well as increase their trap counts when siding for g2/g3. It makes perfect sense - in the face of a new, unknown format, people become fearful of the unknown and resort to their default fetal posture, hiding behind a wall of traps (*cough* glads *cough* wings). Against an unknown opponent with an unknown side deck, players also become fearful and side in traps, even non-specific ones. I noticed it in myself as well - I'd keep in suboptimal cards (when u really analyze it) just because they were defensive traps offering a faint glimmer of security against the very violating feeling of being attacked. A good example was LS last format - it had a fast and bold g1, but afterwards it turtled up, siding in answers to the opponent's answers, and layers of backup on top of that, sacrificing speed and power to do so. In a sense, they were slowed down by fear (even if rationally). G2s and G3s this format seem similar to me - not only do they take longer than g1s since both players are playing a lot more conservatively, there is also a lot more simplification and trading due to each player's wish for "safety." Whereas g1 was bold, g2 and g3 have two much more cowed, conservative opponents taking cautious pokes at each other.

I've been toying with Zombie Chaos as well, and I found that they more aggressive cards. I think CyDras would be a good choice. They also take out BTHs, makes Fortress Dragon, and it's a light for Sorcerer. I took out Shutendoji and 2nd Zombie Master for it. Even without Alchemist, I never found the use for double Master, and with Alchemist, one should be sufficient. I think most Chaos decks need 3 Rykos, and this is no excuse. It sets up Chaos, Zombies and DAD, and improves a bad match-up - GBs. IMO, 3rd Ryko is more important than Lyla in this, because it can be hard to read if you set a Ryko, Alchemist, Goblin or Sangan. I'd side Crow. Crow is good, but it's an anti-card, and if I were tight on space, I'd always play a card that supports the strategy better, such as Reaper and Gale. Reaper is good in any Zombie deck, and Gale is just a good card. Getting access to Black Rose isn't bad either. If you play in a GB heavy area, I'd use the 2nd Master though. I'll also move Effect Veiler to the side deck, for the same reason, and add Tomato instead. The extra light is not needed when I added CyDra, and Tomato sets up so many plays in this deck. I'll also remove the random Prime Material Dragon. Caius is a better choice in this after I put the CyDras in it. It makes CyDra -> Caius possible, and Caius is a Dark for DAD. This extra light isn't needed either when I added CyDra. I never liked Necroface in Zombies. Removing stuff is not good, since you only have 3 cards to return them - Burial and 2 Alchemists. It's a dead draw early game, and it just works against the deck. Here's what I'd do: 2 Goblin Zombie 1 Mezuki 1 Plaguespreader Zombie 1 Zombie Master 1 Spirit Reaper 3 Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter 2 Dimensional Alchemist 2 Cyber Dragon 2 Chaos Sorcerer 1 Dark Armed Dragon 1 Gorz, the Emissary of Darkness 1 Caius the Shadow Monarch 1 Mystic Tomato 1 Sangan 1 Blackwing - Gale the Whirlwind 21 Now for the spells: The line-up is ok, but there are some choices I don't like: Nobleman of Crossout Cold Wave Mind Control Pot of Avarice You don't run enough tuners for Mind Control IMO. I only use this in Diva Zombies, or in decks with 5+ tuners. It'll just be dead too often Nobleman of Crossout depends on your meta of course, but in general, it's better side deck material, for the same reasons as above. a Book of Life is a better choice IMO. It can be an instant level 6 synchro with Master + Plague, tribute fodder for Caius or tuner fodder. I'd rather play Trap Stun than Cold Wave in this. Sorcerer is kinda easy to overrun, that's the simple reason. You also want to pull Sarcos and Charge off ASAP, and you use Burial, Foolish and Book of Life to set up comboes. Instead I'd use Dark Hole. This card is simply a stable, because it is so ridiculous. It's also good, because you don't mind destorying Sangan. This deck depends way too much on the grave to run POA. You need 3 darks for DAD, a dark and a light for Sorcerer and Zombies for comboes. It's a bad card in this IMO. I'd use Book of Moon instead, because it's one hell good of a card. And it can't be stopped by STumn Nobleman of Extermination could be a good choice, but you don't like missing Warnings or BTHs of your own. I'd say use Mirror Force instead. It's one of the best traps in the game. Here we go, spell line-up: 1 Book of Moon 2 Gold Sarcophagus 1 Monster Reborn 1 Dark Hole 1 Charge of the Light Brigade 1 Foolish Burial 1 Burial from the Different Dimension 1 Book of Life 1 Giant Trunade 1 Book of Moon 10 The traps seem wierd to me. I don't like Big Burn, you are too independent on your grave. 2nd Warning would be nice instead, if you can afford it. Threatening Roar seems out of place, BTHs would be much better. Return is also out of place when I remove Necroface and Big Burn. Torrential is a much better choice in this, it comboes well with Goblin Zombie. Then at last, I cut the Prisons too add 2 Stuns and make it 40. Summoning Chaos without worrying about BTH or Warning is nice. 2 Trap Stun 2 Bottomless Trap Hole 2 Solemn Warning 1 Solemn Judgment 1 Torrential Tribute 1 Mirror Force 9 Finished deck: 2 Goblin Zombie 1 Mezuki 1 Plaguespreader Zombie 1 Zombie Master 1 Spirit Reaper 3 Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter 2 Dimensional Alchemist 2 Cyber Dragon 2 Chaos Sorcerer 1 Dark Armed Dragon 1 Gorz, the Emissary of Darkness 1 Caius the Shadow Monarch 1 Mystic Tomato 1 Sangan 1 Blackwing - Gale the Whirlwind 21 2 Gold Sarcophagus 1 Monster Reborn 1 Dark Hole 1 Charge of the Light Brigade 1 Foolish Burial 1 Burial from the Different Dimension 1 Book of Life 1 Giant Trunade 1 Book of Moon 10 2 Trap Stun 2 Bottomless Trap Hole 2 Solemn Warning 1 Solemn Judgment 1 Torrential Tribute 1 Mirror Force 9 40

Must be nice.

Shit man, I was gonna stay there, but there was one room left, and I had to ask some people about it, and it was booked within the next 20 minutes by someone else . I stayed there the last time there was a jump in Philly. It's ridiculosly nice and extremely convient. It's a really nice part of Phily according to my dad who lived there for 8 years. It is? Sweet. I've never stayed in one before. Do you know any yugioh players who are?

if you read the guys feature matches he had some hands that you didn't need duality to make better. And he did run some questionable card choices (guy from YCs toronto)
  38. 1 point
I kinda have mixed feelings about Duality in this deck. I obviously see how it can help out a lot in terms of making your hands a little more consistent which is something LS has always needed and will always need. However, it gives away a lot of information (potentially) about what you key cards you may now have in your hand (Beckoning, J.D., Honest) and it also gets in the way of Wulf mills from time to time. I don't know, I think it may just boil down to being a preference card in this deck, or it may be more about how you have your build set up in terms of small differences, such as 2 Wulf vs. 3 Wulf for example.

Puzzles of all kinds are and have always been useful to us as they promote the development of sure reasoning in complicated situations. In these specific puzzles, you practice your ability to reason through a long and complicated win that you did not see originally. This is unusual, but it happens in real life games where you don't see a win when there is one, and it's because you need more practice at reasoning through all possible and logical moves, and these puzzles assist your ability. So you get that while having fun as well, if you're the logical kind of guy, anyway.
