Your card explanation didnt really go deeper than spelling out what the card does, which is as you repeatedly stated common knowledge for everyone who can read card texts and doesnt further your arguments on WHY you chose to play them, WHY they are good, WHAT problems you came across this format and HOW you tried to solve them. You didn't explain what (Deck) Master Pendulum does for the deck and how special summoning Lv 8s without losing Pendulum Monsters is important. You didnt explain that playing the Spider Combo gives you a game winning play by using a card that was formely only used for defense and ressource management (Dinoster). You didnt explain why you want to play 3 Terraforming, the problem that comes up with opening double Field Spell when you are only playing Iris, the necessity to play a 2nd Field Spell that comes from it and why Oracle of Zefra is used over generic Field Spells like Necrovalley or Secret Village of the Spellcaster, which are used in many other decklists. The list goes on.

22, graduated in may, have a bunch of shit going on so hold tight. - i've had a job at school since freshman year but i'm not allowed to have it anymore come september since it's a student work position. so i'm looking really hard for jobs back outside of philly since i'm moving back home really soon. my girlfriend is away at a summer camp she has been going to/working at for 12 years. she told me last summer that she wasn't gonna go back, but she couldn't get a summer job in philly so she went back to camp. she needs the money and she really enjoys working there but i'm still disappointed since she told me she wasn't going to go. other than that, she is great and i'm 99.9% sure i'm going to propose to her after she graduates (she's 20). - my roommate go back together with his ex. before, i liked her a lot but now it's awkward because my roommate really liked this girl and she broke his heart like three times. i've known my roommate since grade school, he's one of my best friends, so like i just don't want to see him get manipulated and hurt again. anyway, he took in her cat because apparently she is never at her house in philly anymore since she moved back to her old job in the suburbs. the cat is a coward but i like cats a lot so i didn't have a problem with him. however, my roomie hasn't done anything to take care of him. like, he just didn't feed him or clean his litter box. not that he wouldn't do these things, but he also is out working everyday and doesn't get home until 6 or 8. i know it's just a cat and it isn't hard to take care of, but i'm worried about it. i confronted hi like, "dude, take care of this thing if you want to keep it" and he was just all, "nah i think i;m gonna get rid of him." i just feel bad because nobody wants this cat =( - this last one is kinda hard to talk about but whatever. my dad passed away a few weeks ago. there just aren't any words to describe it. im just not used to feeling like this all the time. i just don't know what to do. i mean, life goes on and everything, but i just haven't adjusted to him not being here anymore. however, i'm really lucky to have a big family. everyone has been so supportive and i'm so grateful. at the same time, i feel pretty helpless. sorry to kill the mood with the last one, my other two problems seem stupid by comparison.

I'm 28 years old, I'm 6'5, I'm 310 lbs, I take pristiq for cyclothemia, I take cannabis for carpal tunnel syndrome (with a real prescription and everything!), I've been with my waifu for about two years - I get some shit because of our substantial age gap but idgaf I'm a manchild and she's got her shit together better than I do, we work pretty well together in that regard. I found my old pink motorola razr today and that was a truly amazing phone, it still feels nice/cool to hold on to. I like watching/listening to baseball a lot, and sometimes I feel like I'm the only one I know who does

Excuse me for being ignorant, as I know very little about these decks, but isn't that mostly just going to let you pseudo-tutor Jiaotu rather than actually letting you play outside of Jiaotu, who's as ridiculously vulnerable to any kind of negation as ever as well as easily being dead due to the requirement of having two other YZ cards in hand? Or am I missing something obvious?

Effect still unconfirmed. DEF stat also unconfirmed. http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Denglong,_Origin_of_the_Yang_Zing I felt this card needed a discussion if eff is correct. -Tuner -Searches any yang zing card on summon -ones per turn infernoid decatron that loads chiwens in grave and sets up any synchro you want -Tutors any monster when it leaves the field. It does literally everything. EDIT: Apparently, last effect special summons instead of adding to hand. Still unconfirmed.

That makes in better in most situations, sure you cannot Combo off if you open NO scales at all, but in most builds it's statiscally not very often the case. However the typical Jiaotu 2 discards + 2 scales Standard Combo can now be done with only 1 scale: Usually Jiaotu summons Zefraniu and a Floating YZ, You sync into Baxia, Baxia Pops the random YZ to bring back Jiautu and float into another Zefraniu, you basically make 4 Lv 8 Synchros, Baxia always revives the next Tuner, the Zefranius can be used twice because they are Pendulum Monsters. There were cases where you didnt need to open 2 scales in previous builds of the deck, you could Substitute 1 Scale by opening Monkeyboard, stacking Monkeyboard with Oracle and either exavacating it with Alsei or drawing into it with Allure or Upstart. In other cases you could subsitute one scale by discarding Chiwen with Jiaotu and opening 1 Field Spell (and thus a scale) and searching the missing Field Spell (->Scale) with Ancient Fairy Dragon. The new combo allows you to Jiaotu into Zefraxi and Zefraniu, synchro into Denglong, search the missing scale (preferably Zefraxi, it's a scale of 1 and lets you pendulum summon most Yang Zings, if you still have one left after discarding). Denglong dumps a Lv2 to Sync with Zefraniu in Baxia. Denlong trigger and Specials a floating YZ (preferably Chiwen, if not already discarded). Now Baxia can pop the YZ that was summoed with Denlong to basically make the same Combo as above, but your 5 Card Combo became a 4 Card Combo. If that last card is a YZ you can setup another Negation, because the Chiwen in the grave and the searched new Counter Trap will set up a Battle Immune Herald of the Arc Light during your opponent's turn. You can still end on 38, Stardust Warrior, Floating YZ, new Counter Trap, Full Scales and Chiwen in grave if you open Jiaotu, a Field Spell, 2 YZ names and a Floating YZ that can be Pendulum summoned.

apparently, last eff doesn't add to hand, but special summons instead.

I've thought that this is the only good way to run them ever since they were revealed, however even outside if the monarch matchup, they do not have a good way to get rid of a dark destroyer once it's summoned. Maybe there could be value here after the next limited and forbidden list.

loose concept based on CoD Kozmo-Demise Disaster Dragon If this card is Special Summoned from the Graveyard: You can target 1 monster your opponent controls or in their Graveyard; banish that monster, and if you do, this card gains ATK and DEF equal to that banished monster's Level/Rank x 100. If this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle: You can target 1 Level 7 or 8 Dragon-Type monster in either Graveyard, except "Felgrand the Great Divine Dragon"; Special Summon it to your side of the field. This guy functions the same way Dark Destroyer does in conjunction with Call/Oasis If this card is Special Summoned from the Graveyard: You can banish as many face-up Spell/Trap Cards your opponent controls as possible, and if you do, this card gains 200 ATK and DEF for each card banished by this effect. Once per turn, during the Standby Phase, if this card is in your Graveyard because it was sent there last turn: You can target 1 Level 7 or 8 Dragon-Type monster in your Graveyard, except "Arkbrave Dragon"; Special Summon it. This card is literally the stones, you can revive it back to blow away their scales or other cont s/t that create problems for you, or you can dump it with Ravine to revive Felgrand to break up boards in the midgame and in the early game you can revive Goliath below. You revive in the following Stand-By phase, so it doesn't even matter if you draw him off Demise, you can ditch it and get somebody back. While you control an "Amorphage" monster, any card sent to the Graveyard is banished instead, except "Amorphage" cards. Once per turn, during your Standby Phase, Tribute 1 monster or destroy this card. Neither player can Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck, except "Amorphage" monsters. This locks down a lot of rogue decks alongside BA and Pendulums, and it backed by like Mask of Restrict/Rivalry of the Warlords is the main way you are winning the Monarch match-up. Kozmo doesn't out this since most people dropped Witches, and BA have trouble with it as well. You can also call/oasis this back in response to things like banish tincan for ship and ba reveals to fuck them up. Yes, you can revel a dragon before you ditch for demise. Ravine actually compliments CoD, since you can discard excess monsters/dead cards to draw extra cards. Target 1 Level 7 or 8 Dragon-Type monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon it. If a Dragon-Type monster(s) you control would be destroyed by battle or card effect, you can banish this card from your Graveyard instead. Reborn is good etc, but it also holds value if you have to discard it for Demise/Ravine, similiar to Daimond Core above. If a monster(s) that isn't from the Graveyard is Special Summoned, and you control a Level 7 or 8 Dragon-Type monster: Negate that monster's effects until the end of this turn. Once per turn: You can send 1 other face-up card you control to the Graveyard; Special Summon 1 "Great Dragon Token" (Dragon-Type/LIGHT/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0). If this card is in your Graveyard: You can send to the Graveyard 1 Level 7 or 8 Dragon-Type monster from your hand or face-up from your side of the field; add this card to your hand. This card is a conditional l1t, it may be worth looking into. It's other effects have some niche use, like you can ditch a dragon out of hand to add it back then play it to get another card off Demise, kinda like Ravine. You can potentially send dead ravines/floodgates to ss a token. Kinda notable for this card, which may be worth looking into. ----------------------------- Unlike other CoD focused decks, your monsters are actual literal threats and not just lv4 (mostly) vanilla beaters. They're either floodgates or removal in conjunction with revival spells, so you are more reliant on your engine to win than you are your floodgates, since they're integrated. This definitely is a worse version of Demise Kozmo, since it can't really play without Call/Oasis or Demise at any given time, but I think it's way more threatening than like most of the other Demise options. One thing I think this deck suffers from is that nothing in it's engine really beats Monarch, they just don't care. As long as they can tribute summon, you can lose and the only real way to stop that is with traps. But that's true for pretty much every demise deck, right?
  23. 1 point
Yeah this card is pretty crazy, it makes hands without scales better because you can search 2 scales after resolving Jiaotu AND sync into Baxia, Chaofeng or even Stardust Warrior. Sky Iris + 4 random Yang Zings (2floaters) ends in 38, Stardust Warrior, the new Counter Trap, Chiwen in grave and a random floating YZ to use with the Counter Trap. By doing that, you trigger both and have a Battle Immune Herald. Basically Stardust Warrior +3 Negations, which should be an autowin even through Maxx C against all Pendulum decks. Alternatively the same hand can end in Light Chaofeng, 38, Herald, Counter Trap, which is autowin against Blue-Eyes. They can't use Alternative, can't dump or discard their monsters to set up their grave or revival spells and you can negate their normal summon plays with the Counter Trap on top of having 38 to stop Raigeki/Chalice/whatever. If Subterror/Shambhala ends up being an Earth deck, Yang Zing might have a good time coming, Earth Chaofeng is the easiest to summon with Zefraniu.

Didn't mean to neg that, must've happened when I was scrolling on mobile. You're talking about a game that is designed children ages 8-12, whose company constantly finds a way to make the game worse in order squeeze every cent possible out of their competitive player base (instead of rewarding them like other games do.) The game has been declining in terms of rewarding skilled players for a long time and thats a choice the designers made to attract players by increasing variance so players who are worse can win, keep playing the game, and spend more money. I don't think there is much room for improvement in that aspect and that's part of the reason why people quit in the first place. I think the underlying issues (ie konami being terrible to the competitive player base) isn't something that can be overcome and eventually leads to a lack of player retention. The game is in such a horrendous state that players would rather go back and play "retro formats" because as bad as they were at the time (some more so than others), they are still better than the current one. Hell it got so bad, people like Allen/Kris tried to reboot the game with Newgioh and there were events outside SJC/YCS because the support Konami provided was ass. Like I said, I think there are a ton of underlying issues with the game that won't change and thus won't result in the bolded or players being retained. Hopefully, Allen can promote things that change that, but its hard when the makers of the game are basically actively working against this. Idg why you are such a fucking cunt to the mafia section. Have you ever even played a game? Idk why you feel the need to create dichotomy between the games and have some super overinflated sense of superiority that your game is somehow better than ours. Yes, most of us think ygo is bad because we recognize the above, but some of us still support the events and play occasionally.

Ocis was just around the corner so I decided to test card of demise ben kei which was INSANE then I was taught how to read at 1200 rating on DN so I canceled my flight and went to work instead. On the friday I headed to work(two hours travel) to tell people that the sign saying "This is the wharf you are looking for" actually ment this is the wharf they were looking for and have people yell at me because they turned up at 25 past for a cruise that leaves at 15 past because it had already left I then had people proceed to complain about being denyed entry to an event because it was over capacity "I didnt do anything wrong" yeah well take it up with the laws of physics dude not me. On the saturday while everyone was happy with there nats results and or killing themselves because you can top our nats at x-3 I simply lost a division on LoL and wished I didn't suck at games and could play overwatch but I simply have no friends outside of the ygo commune and they were all doing the above that night. On the sunday while chris short was telling everyone how he almost won a 2nd nationals in 10 years with cyber darks I was stationed at a macdonalds... the most violent ranked venue in my state(yup its a maccas not a club) so I stand there watchs asshole leave so much rubbish I wanna vomit some cunt ripped the sink out of the bathroom, people look like I skinned there puppy when I say they have to be a certain distance from the building to smoke, they look like they wanna start a riot when I say there is no more straws, the staff look like lost children when I ask one of them to clean up and during a fight I think the guy ended up ripping his own shirt off oh and if I see another taxi driver put on his hazard lights and stop in the middile of the street and just wait there I am going to lose it On the monday was the same as friday except the following happened "is there a hungery jacks near here?" "ah yeah its in the station just over there" "is it open?" "it is 24 hours" "um yeah but is it open" BOHDAN IS GOING TO WORLDS EVERYONE REJOICE MY WEEKEND WAS WORTH THIS TORMENT I LOVE YOU ALL Card of demise created a strategy that revolved around setting 5 backrow and hoping to draw 1 monster, requiring no opponent interaction. Fighting for board control and battles between monsters make an overall game of yugioh more fun and compelling, but dealing with 5 cards that say 'you cannot play' is not particularly fun or interactive.

This was one of your better articles. I think this is a topic that really needs to be examined more. Personally, the biggest bias that I see in Yugioh is what I called the "skill" bias, which is this idea that some decks require more skill to play than others, and decks that require less skill should be avoided. This stopped many players on DGZ in particular from playing decks like Lightsworn, Dark World, Rabbit (for awhile), and more recently Domain Monarch. People seem more concerned with having intellectually stimulating matches rather than winning their matches.

I'm gonna try and be clear and concise. I'm resistant to the build but having trouble finding a fair-minded flaw. Technically this isn't purely my build although it is ever ever so slightly adjusted towards me to the tiniest margin. This is the brainchild of Pojo's Official Pendulum Conglomerate Guide. To put it simply this build wants to get Master Pendy for Dinoster, Ignister, and Majester plays and it does a good job of it. Main Deck - 40 Monsters - 27 Master Pendulum, the Dracoslayer: 3 Stellarknight Zefraxciton: 1 Luster Pendulum, the Dracoslayer: 1 Performapal Skullcrobat Joker: 1 Magical Abductor: 3 Performapal Pendulum Sorcerer: 3 Rescue Hamster: 3 Performapal Lizardraw: 3 Vector Pendulum, the Dracoverlord: 1 Performapal Monkeyboard: 1 Performapal Odd-Eyes Light Phoenix: 1 Archfiend Eccentrick: 3 Performapal Guitartle: 1 Gem-Knight Lazuli: 1 Performapal Odd-Eyes Unicorn: 1 Spells - 12 Painful Decision: 3 Terraforming: 3 Draco Face-Off: 1 Upstart Goblin: 1 Brilliant Fusion: 3 Oracle of Zefra: 1 Sky Iris: 1 Extra Deck - 15 Fusions - 4 Dinoster Power, the Mighty Dracoslayer: 3 Gem-Kight Seraphinite: 1 Synchros - 1 Ignister Prominence, the Blasting Dracoslayer: 1 Xyz - 10 Number 77: The Seven Sins: 1 Number 84: Pain Gainer: 1 Number 38: Hope Harbinger Dragon Titanic: 1 Number 15: Gimmick Puppet Giant Grinder: 1 Number s39: Utopia the Lightning: 1 Number 39: Utopia: 1 Castel, the Skyblaster Musketeer: 1 Diamond Dire Wolf: 1 Majester Paladin, the Ascending Dracoslayer : 1 Abyss Dweller: 1 21 hours ago, DAD 4 GAME said: As Dexer said, you don't have to explain every single card. Simply write out the deck list (instead of copying and pasting it in the shitty format the OP has) and explain any odd or unusual card choices, why you decided to play the deck, or how these choices fare against other top decks. For instance, you don't need any explanation for cards like Joker, Monkeyboard, or Sorcerer, but there are so many card choices you didn't cover much at all: - Do you run Oracle to help avoid dead drawing multiple Terraforming/Iris while giving you another way to search out scales? Is it worth running a vanilla monster like the Zefratellarknight, and do you think this is a trend that could potentially catch on in the meta?( Yes Oracle is to avoid dead Terraformings. My feelings on the Zefra needed is that while you can't use it as a scale it is still a decent sized beater aswell as something to use for going into Dinoster or your R4 plays) - Why did you decide to run the three Hamsters, and how does it affect the deck? Sure, running multiple 3-ofs in the deck increase the likelihood of having a target for Hamster, but what exactly does Hamster contribute to the deck? You didn't really go over how Hamster helps give you more pendulum monsters to go into Dinoster for rank 4/8 plays. How live is hamster, and did you need to change your ratios of any cards to make the three Hamster live more often?(Yes my thinking on ratios was highly effected by making Hamster as live as possible. I think that the normal summon effect is most relavent especialy early on because you can normal summon and use the effect to have a R4 play to help out problems before ever pendy summoning as well as the fairly apparent usage for searching your other Master Ps for Dinoster plays) - Three Lizardraw is not "common knowledge" one bit considering most players only use 1-2 copies. Did you decide to go with the three Lizardraws because you figured that running three allows you to have more targets in the extra for Hamster? Is it worth potentially dead drawing multiple Lizardraw considering it has a hard OPT clause?(Yes the Hamster had an effect on this choice. I also felt that since the Odd-Eyes scales are also Pal scales that are pretty easy to search in this deck with Sky Iris, Joker, and even Abducter that I would have a way to resolve Lizard's effect when I needed it fairly often. I see Lizardraw as also being a replacement for Skullcrobat Joker when using Odd-Eyes Unicorn's effect with Light Pheonix. Side note I feel like Lizard can be a high scale with a non-pal in a pinch and the monster effect comes up sometimes) - Why did you decide to main three copies of Eccentrick when most players only play 1-2 in the main deck? It doesn't advance your gamestate at all and is not very useful going first, especially when Extra Deck Monarchs have become significantly more popular. Do you run three because you feel that the deck has trouble outing floodgates like Domain or dealing with multiple counter traps against Ariadne builds or Demise decks? Do you run three Eccentrick because you felt that the deck lacked enough high scales with only 1-2 Eccentrick?(I run 3 because I feel the deck needs high scales, mst, and outs too annoying Xyz monsters and it does all 3) - Do you feel like opening Painful is so important for accessing Master and giving you a Dracoslayer in the graveyard for Dinoster that it is worth potentially dead drawing multiple copies? Are dead Painfuls still any useful, like for Iris or Sorcerer?(Yes too all of that) - Do you run the Brilliant engine because you prioritize seeing Master turn one and with the Hamsters, the extra normal summon can be very important? Do you run Brilliant because having Seraphinite and Brilliant as free Sorcerer targets is simply so good that it is worth drawing the Lazuli? Have you ever considered two Lazuli, like what some Monarch or Fusionist players are using, to alleviate the brick hands with both Lazuli and Brilliant?(Yes, yes, and yes) - Do you run the three Terraforming but only one Iris because Terraforming comos better with Abductor and gives you the increased utility of either Iris or Oracle? Do you feel like it's worth possible dead drawing Terraforming late game because you want to solve the deck's early game consistency as much as possible, considering it already has a good grind game?(Yes too all the above) - Is there a particular reason you decided to run things like Hamster over something like the Majespecter Raccoon and Kirin? Do you feel like you don't have enough high scales for Kirin or that Kirin simply isn't good enough in some matchups to worth (Both and I feel like Kirin works better with a Magician build) - Is there a particular reason you decided not to run Ariadne? Does Ariadne bring too many bricks to the deck, or do you just never find yourself able to trigger its effect with just Sorcerer and Iris? Were you expecting mostly Monarchs, and do you feel that Strike simply isn't good enough in that matchup to worth maining additional non-combo pieces? Do you find that running traps simply slow the deck down and detracts from its main focus?(It slows the deck and bricks wi) These are all things off the top of my head that your original post did not cover at all. Instead, you decided to type pointless shit like "Upstart Goblin: 1 (This should be common knowledge)." Well, if the card is common knowledge, then why even bother typing up an explanation for it?(Point taken I should also point out Upstart is good with Abducter) Furthermore, the terrible formatting--highlighted text, clumpy explanations, randomly bolded card names--make the post extremely difficult to read and appear like you didn't put much effort at all into it, simply copy and pasting it from another forum where you made a thread about it. If you didn't have the time or effort to make a useful post, then why should people waste their time even trying to help you?(Well be edited after I post this response) It's nothing personal, but at the very least, you should edit the OP and stop trying to argue with people over your own arrogance.(Point taken)
