  1. Opt in/Opt Out Thread

Opt in: Civil Discourse & Unchained

The thing is that a +1 underground sea would break the spirit of the reserve list. Its the spirit of the reserve list that they also have to keep in mind which is why they have been getting rid of loopholes as time has passed. They have specifically addressed this idea.   In this generation I do not see the reserve list going away. Many of these people in this "establishment" of MTG are from the era where the reserve list was created. I feel some new people would have to come in the future who have a different philosophy than the current people running magic.    I once considered that they should have a buyback program on duals and just re-print those.

https://twitter.com/boss_mtg/status/697315656824418305   Tom Ross on twitter "Just went a little less than 50/50 playing Aggro Shops (likely best deck in Vintage/Magic right now) vs Modern Eldrazi Aggro. Messed up."     To be fair people point out that Aggro Shops is meant for a different meta. But still crazy.
  5. Shadows over Innistrad Spoilers

pretty sure what I'm posting is fake

The top 8 has 6 eldrazi. I was reading about the possibility of eye of ugin getting banned.
  7. Oath Of Gatewatch Spoilers!

Confirmed by a relevant source...found this via mtg salvation mods. But still not 100 percent. What I think based on what I read: The new basic land doesn't have a type and is a common which basic lands are not. This means these are like the snow covered lands. Wastes may be lands that have been destroyed by the eldrazi. So expect effects that turn lands into "wastes" Otherwise it will be hard to draft this set if we get some of these cards in our packs.
  8. Legacy Format Discussion

curious what legacy players think of this card.
  9. The internet sucks at predicting cards.

Looking back....its pretty funny seeing what people said about really good cards when they were first leaked. A fun read.   http://yourcardevaluationsucks.tumblr.com

Going with twin...the main cards can be used in other decks too and thats a very important thing for me.
  11. Battle for Zendikar Spoiler Discussion

no its confirmed by the man himself that they are for the entire run.
  12. Modern Format Discussion

I have two options at the current moment splinter twin variant or affinity. I like both decks and do plan on making both of them but i can only build one this week (money earned from getting rid of YGO). Which would you guys recommend from a "spike's" perspective.
  13. Battle for Zendikar Spoiler Discussion

      I would tap dat.

mantis rider comes out of hiding!!
  15. Modern Format Discussion

I am thinking about modern allies at the moment. Collected company, chord of calling, harabaz druid, hada freeblade and then the new cards all together might make an interested modern deck that can atleast do well at a FNM.   I just wish more of the allies didn't have such high mana costs. What allies really needed were more low cost creatures.
