      Just show me some examples please because I really tried to avoid that a lot. I check every new player entry if he exists already and it could only happen if I rearranged the first and surname. And of course it would be nice to include the Swiss Standings etc. but the question is always how can you get all the data for all the tournaments. It is simpler to just use the Top Cut results because this information is trackable.

      They will be included as soon as someone can link/send me the missing data ;) It's pretty difficult to search the internet/YouTube for coverages of countries you are not familiar with. Like I have no information about Australian events but I think that at some point an Australian player will come over my ranking list and send me the missing pieces and then they will be counted ;)

    Then explain me please how we should get the data of all the regionals from all over the world xD I wanted to have something which is consistent and complete. There are too many regionals each month so you never could keep track of it unless you have access to it like Konami because all the regionals are done with Cossy. I don't have this option xD

    The question is always how do I get a list of player names who were banned in the Yugioh history? Right I can't get that because only UDE/Konami has the list and they won't publish it. So I can't do that.

    I have to say that I even filled some missing data from the DGZ collection. So there are some differences between my collection and Patrik's. But yeah, the core was the DGZ list and whoever started it can see now what you can do with that amount of data. I'm still missing a lot of data but it's hard to find coverages on the internet from past tournaments. In the end I wanted to create a possible to quickly search and sort the data and see all your events etc. It would be boring if there are no points included. And I included only Konami sanctioned tournaments because I wanted to create something which is compare-able to the UDE ranking list. And ARG or CCG have their own ranking for their tournaments so the data is somewhere at least ;)

    From what I know was this the previous ruling and this one changed after the 19th June.  And yeah, Julia didn't gave a clear answer to the question in the adjudication. The best thing to do is to ask the HJ at the event you are playing.

    Monsters leaving their effect activation location before activation (June 19, 2014): If a Special Summoned monster activates its effect on the field, but removes itself from this field for paying its cost (ie.     I guess this accidents happens if you decide to win an argument in Yu-Gi-Oh! while you are drunk and have no sleep. From my perspective it was as harsh as the YouTube video says. Like I was chilling in the coach, glad that Hoban decided to discuss with someone else because I got tired after all and at some point when he got louder I told him to calm down and sit down again to finish our argument but yeah, Patrick decided to continue.  I think drunken people can do little mistakes and this one was transformed into an elephant. What can we learn from that? Never call out Patrick Hoban when he is drunk because he will defend himself. It's also not ok to call someone a faggot just because you are unhappy with how the discussion went where you were not included. I guess there were mistakes by both sides but let's be honest this video is exaggerated.   Edit: And not everyone can control his temper.

  13. Hieratic/Dragon Ruler - Discussion

      Okay, maybe I didn't write the part about Ashes clear enough. Let's say you play against Mermail and you know that he has Marksman. Would you know want to flip Ashes in his End Phase if you know that you can't combo on the next turn or would you let it face down that he has more problems going for his end phase sphere into marksman? Of course in some matchups you have to flip the seal immediately and dump your monsters but what I wanted to say was that you don't have to do that all the time because it's sometimes much better to let it stay there face down unless it helps you on the next turn. You don't play a lot of protection and it's not a good idea to reveal them too soon. I hope that it's not a contradiction now ;)   The thing that I don't like about Enemy Controller is that you are more worried about the backrow than their monster. Enemy Controller is in my opinion another card which is dead if you don't have all the needed pieces. Then you also have to get the "right" monster from them to make it worth. For me I played Mystical Space Typhoon in a lot of combo decks just to be sure to get the combo off. i don't think that playing more combo cards helps you if you can't pull it off. Enemy Controller is a little more combo but it hasn't worked out for me.    My game plan is never to summon a Dragon Ruler over and over again. My plan is to make an unbreakable board or OTK and if they manage to break it then I have still my Dragon Rulers left for Dracossack action. I don't want to play the slow control version. It should hit in on turn like a wave and they shouldn't recover from it.

    Here is what I have been testing so far.    Monsters: 16 3x Hieratic Dragon of Su 3x Hieratic Dragon of Tefnuit 3x Hieratic Dragon of Eset 1x Blaster, Dragon Ruler of Infernos 1x Tidal, Dragon Ruler of Waterfalls 1x Tempest, Dragon Ruler of Storms 1x Redox, Dragon Ruler of Boulders 1x Debris Dragon 1x Labradorite Dragon 1x Flamvell Guard   Spells: 13 3x Upstart Goblin 3x Dragon Shrine 3x Hieratic Seal of Convocation 3x Mystical Space Typhoon 1x Book of Moon   Traps: 11 3x Reckless Greed 3x Hieratic Seal From the Ashes 1x Solemn Warning 1x Torrential Tribute 1x Bottomless Trap Hole 1x Skill Drain 1x Vanity's Emptiness   Some explanations: I don't like to draw multiple copies of the same continuous trap card. That's why I decided to play 1 Skill Drain and 1 Vanity's Emptiness. I often could make my board and have then 2 Skill Drain and in this case it's better to have 2 different cards instead of just one. Vanity's Emptiness/Skill Drain with Stardust Dragon and at least one defensive cards is pretty hard to break.  First I tried Trap Stun but later I found out that Trap Stun was a little bit too slow. Then I tried A Wingbeat of Giant Dragon but I never got it when I really wanted it. Most games if your opponent has some backrows and you try to go into Su, then they will have Fiendish Chain. Therefore I play 3 Mystical Space because it's the direct counter to Fiendish Chain, it is very good vs Mermail and their Sphere and it helps if you want to go off against 1-2 backrows (is not the normal case but this happens).   I also tried Raigeki Break but when I have the combo then I will have issues to keep one card back in my hand. I think this deck needs every card in hand if you go off unless you have something like double Reckless Greed where nothing matters at all. I also often don't flip my Hieratic Seal of Ashes to protect myself from my opponent going off. Showing where your Seal is helps them to figure out your real trap and they will kill you if you help them. Solemn Warning, Bottomless Trap Hole and Torrential Tribute are great cards in my opinion. I like them when I have a board and I also like them if my opponents have a board. If I want to break theirs, I still have my 3 Mystical Space Typhoons to go off and they help you to make your deck a little bit faster.   Overall I like the ability to win on turn 1 with a nearly "unbreakable" board and to OTK pretty fast. I also like Stardust Dragon a lot because a lot of players run Mystical Space Typhoon and there is no better monster against that.   I wouldn't be too afraid against Hoban's Mermail because his deck has some weaknesses which are easy seen. For example he plays no Mermail Abyssleed which makes every monster you play too big for him. Let's assume that you have Stardust Dragon on the field with Vanity's Emptiness or Skill Drain. What real outs does he have? Raigeki Break? Fiendish Chain? I guess his only real out would be Crazy Box if you have no protection against that or Tidal but this looks pretty bad if you ask me. If you have Stardust Dragon and Vanity's Emptiness then he has even more problems.   But yeah, I haven't played the whole format and therefore not everything that I post can be right because there are players with far more experience with this deck. Edit: Because I just read it again, Math is really important in Card Games and you shouldn't underestimate it. I would also recommend everyone to learn some chess basics because it helps you to think turns ahead and make an overall game plan (Like what's my goal? How can I reach it? How can I prepare my moves?).

    Go first, make the combo and have a board with Stardust, Dracossack and Vanity/Skill Drain face down. Mermail should be dead after that start. That happened when I played against Mermail and Hoban's list has even less option to break this board. So I wouldn't be too afraid of Mermail because Hieratic can build the much more broken board turn 1 or 2.
