  2. Let's say I have some measured distribution (let's call it Y) and know that an unknown distribution (let's call it X) will transform into the measured distribution when X is multiplied by some matrix A (which I have). Now, if I take the inverse of A and solve for X using A^-1 and Y, why is there an issue when the distribution Y is finite (aka it's a vector with size N)? The issue is that after a certain point, the distribution X will start oscillating.

  10. If you thought this was a twist, wait until Trump takes off his mask and reveals he is actually been Bernie Sanders in a fat suit this entire time.
  11. I'm still about 80% sure that wumbo is just pulling a long game troll right now.
  12. Also, interesting "what if" scenario: Next time the debt ceiling needs to be raised (which, realistically, it will), what if the democrats band together to oppose it? It's not uncommon as a political ploy (obama did it himself when he was a senator), but considering so many republicans have turned it into such a big issue in the past it would be interesting for them to have to walk back and support it. The alternative is a default under Trump which would cause significant issues. Honestly, as awful as Trump being elected is I kind of feel it's like a dog who chases cars finally "catching" a car - now that they are (barely) in control and can actually pass things they are put in a position where all the rhetoric they've been saying runs contrary to actual governing. It's going to be interesting to say the least, especially considering that (like I said before) in 4 years they have to come out strong or risk losing significant gains.
  13. Winter, myth, wumbo, 7: Could you guys make a specific list of things you believe Trump will and will not do when he gets into office? Specific things, not vague shit like "make america great again"; I want specifics. If you guys can do this for me, I'm going to make a new thread with these lists and we're going to watch over the next four years what actually happens and how accurate your predictions are. Most of us feel that you guys were manipulated by a charismatic conman; if you so strongly believe in Trump I don't see any reason why you would be opposed in taking me up on this little game.
  14. Trump won. He has 4 years (with a republican majority in congress) to enact whatever vision he chooses (his own or those of his advisors). You guys are going to have to own the next four years, good or bad, and accept responsibility for what happens. Trump won without the popular vote, so don't act like this election is a mandate on your beliefs either. I'm pessimistic but hoping that things turn out okay, but just remember there is another election in 2020 (aka the census) and turnabout is fair play; you better hope that things go well otherwise next time you'll be on the shit end for 10 years.
