  1. Scrap Synchron

So I had a silly idea. I don't think it's anywhere near meta worthy, but it sounds like a fun idea to try out. The new Scrap Archetype looks kinda interesting, so I thought I'd throw a little something together. Monsters: 19 [3] Scrap Golem [2] Quickdraw Synchron [3] Scrap Chimera [3] Scrap Beast [1] Summoner Monk [2] Scrap Hunter [1] Sangan [2] Scrap Goblin [2] Level Eater Spells: 13 [1] Brain Control [1] Mind Control [1] Heavy Storm [1] Mystical Space Typhoon [1] Foolish Burial [2] Pot of Avarice [3] Scrap Area [3] Scrap Squall Traps: 8 [1] Mirror Force [1] Torrential Tribute [1] Solemn Judgment [2] Bottomless Trap Hole [3] Dimensional Prison Extra Deck: 15 [3] Scrap Dragon [1] Junk Warrior (Quickdraw lvl4 + Level Eater) [1] Junk Destroyer (Quickdraw Lvl4 + Hunter + Level Eater, Destroy 2 Cards) OR (Quickdraw lvl5 + Hunter, Destroy 1 Card) [1] Stardust Dragon [1] Black Rose Dragon [1] Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier [1] Colossal Fighter [1] Goyo Guardian [1] Ally of Justice Catastor [2] Mist Wurm (Golem + Beast + Level Eater) [2] XX-Saber Gatmuz (Golem + Beast) Other Cards That Came To Mind?: -Dandylion (quick food for Quickdraw, Dragon's effect, or just synchro summoning in general) -Dark World Dealings (draw power and pitching Scrap tuners and Level Eaters) -Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter (destruction power and milling Scrap tuners and Level Eaters) -One For One (quick access to Level Eater) -The tuners have their own ROTA. -Quickdraw adds more synchro summoning, and helps pitch the Level Eaters and Scrap Tuners to use with Golem and Chimera, as well as making for a quick tribute to get Golem out right away. Discard Scrap tuner for Quickdraw, tribute for Golem, use Golem's effect to grab the tuner and synchro summon. -Monk for quick synchro summoning, and getting Beast in the grave for Chimera and Golem. -Sangan searches Monk, Quickdraw, Goblin and Level Eater. -Squall seems like a pretty solid card. Adds a bit of draw power, and can pretty much get you any Scrap monster you want to your hand. Send whatever Scrap monster from your deck to your grave, then pop a Beast or Goblin and grab the monster with their effect. Plus, you draw 1. Not bad, imo. Also gives you faster access to the only unsearchable monster in the deck, Scrap Golem. -And of course Level Eater, which gives easy access to fun stuff like Mist Wurm, and 4 turns worth of food for Scrap Dragon's effect. So, what do you think, dgz? Am I just crazy, or does it at least make a decent casual deck?
  2. gigadgets

With Sandman coming out in the next set, Rocks are getting another useful KA. Especially with the format slowing down, Rocks may see a glimmer of hope. http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Koa%27ki_Meiru_Sandman
  3. Gladial Beast for the month of March 2010

Personally I prefer 2 Prismas over 1 Prisma 1 Stratos. I hate having Stratos when what I really needed that turn was a Prisma. Only 2 Chariots??? I'd only ever play minimum 2.
  4. .: Montreal Regionals :.

    28th, I believe.
  5. Level one Judge test

    lawl judge get
  6. Dark Simorgh

Sucks because it has to survive to bounce a monster. its a tuner Monk > ditch spell > get Soldier = Stardust/Colossal/wtv + Dark Simorgh
  7. Habits That You Have

    I second this Third. There are too many fun decks to play that aren't LS/GB/BW/TeleDaD that can win, but aren't as explosive/consistent/etc. Another big issue of mine is that I can never stick to one deck. I build way too many decks, and can never decide what to play until right before a major event. Last Regionals and Nationals it wasn't until a couple of days before hand, maybe even less, that I decided what I wanted to play. And it was only completely last minute, on the way there, that I would build my side deck. Like seriously, I have a BWs, GeeBees, Jinzo Returner, 2 versions of Anti-Meta, and a Plant (waiting to fix it up when the new structure deck comes out) deck. And those are only the decks that I own at the moment. There are countless others that I've built, played, reconstructed, and tossed away. Sometimes I'll come up with a funny deck idea, and try to build it, only to never end up playing it more than a few times. Luckily, when I do this, it usually doesn't mean trading for anything too pricey. And seriously, I really need to prepare more before events. Regionals are this Sunday, and I'm still not sure what to run, and am only getting together with friends tomorrow probably, or at locals on Saturday, to practice. My indecisiveness also kind of annoys my opponents sometimes, when I have too many options to work with. I'll sometimes take too long with a turn while thinking through all the possible combos I could do, and which one would be the most advantageous. This seems fine and all, but the problem is I can't always decide right away which one I'd prefer to do. xD ^_^;
  8. Junk Chaos

QUOTE (VΣИΣЯA @ Oct 13 2009, 12:27 AM) I have been testing Instant fusion in the original build. LVL5 + Junk, Nitro, and Turbo = super LULZ. -dubkdad1 haha yeah, Musician King ftw. Abuse Arcanite. ^^ When I looked at this deck, it looked too familiar, then I saw the mention of dubkdad1 at the end. xD I just watched your deck vid of it yesterday. It's pretty sweet, your build as well as this one.
  9. Blackwing Treasure

If Treasure actually does get released, Black Whirlwind will most probably get semi'd, maybe even limited. Who knows. Like someone already mentioned, Whirlwind makes Treasure a freakin' Pot of Greed.
  10. Jinzo Returner

Quite a bit of traps for a Jinzo deck. Also, damn you, I was planning on posting my Jinzo Returner deck soon. Mine is completely different than this, though. Ever thought of using Limit Reverse to reuse Returners?
  11. Chaos Drain

I've been playing around with the deck's build a lot lately. Here's the newest version. Chaos Drain Monsters: [18] [3] Beast King Barbaros [1] Dark Armed Dragon [2] Chaos Sorceror [3] Thunder King Rai-Oh [3] Paladin of the Cursed Dragon [2] Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer [1] Blackwing - Gale the Whirlwind [1] Plaguespreader Zombie [2] D.D. Crow Spells: [10] [1] Brain Control [1] Heavy Storm [1] Giant Trunade [1] Smashing Ground [3] Book of Moon [3] Forbidden Chalice Traps: [12] [1] Mirror Force [1] Torrential Tribute [1] Call of the Haunted [1] Solemn Judgment [2] Bottomless Trap Hole [2] Skill Drain [2] Royal Oppression [2] Trap Stun Trap Stuns are lots of fun. Even if you've got a Drain and Oppression out, just Stun them, as well as your opponent's traps for the turn, and special summon Dad/Sorc/synchromonster, use their effects, and have the anti-meta back on their ass once your turn is over. I love having a Colossal Fighter on the field with Drain and Oppression out. I'm playing Barbaros' cuz the last 2 builds were a lot more Drain-oriented, but I'm trying not to rely 100% on it, since Fairy Wind and Decree are bitches. Plus, Barbs are just awesome beatsticks, and the chalices are good for him as well as hurting my opponent. The Paladins are fun against Zombies, and I'm thinking of siding in Mezukis and Zombie World against Monarchs. I'm not sure whether I should be running DaD in here or not. Cards I'm wondering if I can find room for are: 2 Doomcaliber Knights 3rd Kycoo 2-3 Cyber Valley Mind Control Return from the Different Dimension Your thoughts on them? Your thoughts on the maindeck?
  12. Good morning, DGZ!

So I tested a modified version of this yesterday, since I'm still missing a couple cards. -2 Sorc (since i was only running 3 lights) -3 Tkings (since I have yet to get any, but I'll be acquiring 2 tomorrow) -2 Crow -1 FutureV -1 BoM -1 CotH -1 Bribe +1 Alius +3 D.D. Survivor +3 Jewjitsu Master +1 Chalice +3 DFissure +1 Oppression It worked rather well. 2-1 vs Random.dek with Creature Swap, D.D. Assailant/Warrior Lady, & other annoying junk. Easy win once Drain was out. 2-0 vs Volcanics 2-0 vs Zombies 2-1 vs LS 1-2 vs LaDDnarchs in finals (was a really close game) And I can't remember what else I played it against. Unfortunately without all the cards, I'm unable to test the deck properly. I ended up reverting back to something close to the original build of my Drain deck, with Oppression, Drain, & DFissure. It's annoying as fuck, but I really want to test it with Rai-Ohs and CSorcs. However, important things I realized while testing! 1) FutureV isn't worth it, afterall. At some point, it was just hurting me more than my opponent. I'm taking it out for something. 2) The jewjews were very useful for defense, but when I finally start testing the chaos build, I don't I can fit them in, needing space for Light and Darks. 3)The DFissures were boss against LS, Zombie, and Lolcanics, but I really want to see if it can work just as well with Raioh and Sorc. With DFissure, I can't use Tking's effect. Thoughts? Maybe I'll side into DFissures? Perhaps Kycoo would be good in the main to lock Gardnas and remove shit. 4) Fairy Wind is a bitch. Wrecks this deck. Luckily, LS was the only thing that sided it, and he either milled them or I had solemn/bribe when he played it/decree. 5) Smashing Ground and MBaaS were really useful when sided in. I'll be changing the main post a bit. Still looking for input on main, and suggestions for side. Thoughts for side so far are: Dimensional Fissure D.D. Survivor Macro Cosmos Paladin of Cursed Dragon (Light for Sorc, beatstick, useful vs zombies) Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer I'm also tempted to main a Plague. Extra Dark, possible Stardust/Colossal with Sorc would be nice.
