  1. Are these still a thing or?
  2. As much as it might hurt to hear this, you may want to hold off on committing your dust to a particular deck right now.  Tomorrow there is going to be an announcement (presumably) about a new set coming out.   Technology is very important in HS.  Both technology in terms of technical play and card choices is much more common and hugely impactful.  There are lots of threat-answer dynamics at play in Hearthstone which is something to always be cognizant of.   I really enjoy incredibly high skill ceiling decks like oil rogue, control warrior, patron warrior.  They give you just huge chunks of extra equity against the field when you can play them very well.   I won't be playing until after the new expansion comes out or mid-August, but my ID is StarGazer#1493, Josh and I are both very high level legend grinders.   Control warrior isn't a very skill intensive deck but you are correct on the other two
  3. lol who the actual fuck do you think you are? Just because this 270 person regionals DQ is your claim to fame doesn't mean you can talk to people that have accomplished things you go to sleep at night dreaming about. Cool guy, you topped a 270 person tournament. If it weren't for ARGs and more specifically this most recent situation, no one would even know who the fuck you are. Don't come here waving your dick around like you're someone
  4.   After personally listening to both your story and Dalton's in real life, I find it quite interesting how they differ so much. Usually there are some sorts of similarities between stories but actually they differ so much it's crazy. We all know how I feel about Dalton, so my personal feelings are not relevant to this, it was simply an observation after hanging out with both of you that weekend.   Yea Dalton has never been known to fabricate stories or anything... lol
  5. To be fair, i'm 100% sure Jim didn't write this lol
  6. I remember Jim also saying, when he first started ARGs, that if any player that ended up topping got caught cheating their winnings would instead be donated to a charity. I'm pretty interested, pending the investigation, if this is still a thing.
  7. He said loli had to declare what he was summoning off of cir instead of just putting it on the field..... wow alyx you didn't tell him your target????? as if that'd have changed his play.... He really should just stop trying to defend himself, especially on zodiac.
  8. You're twisting what he said but ok. He said Dalton was part of the "inner circle" for that event because he contributed his ideas into the deck that they ended up playing. That doesn't mean he's always in the inner circle. Also just because you call one cheater and scumbag a cheater and scumbag doesn't mean you're obligated to do it to all of them you come across.
  9. While I don't think allowing Konami's banned players list dictate who can and can't go to ARGs simply because I know i've been in a situation where I was banned for an honest mistake, I do think ARG, and hell I might as well say specific names since there's only one person that has control over banning people, Jim should grow a back bone and clean up his tournaments. He talks so much about him wanting his tournaments to grow so why risk that just to allow people to play in your tournaments that you know for a fact are going to make others tournament experience significantly worse just by playing him/her? Dalton has done that multiple times and Jim's had plenty of complaints about him, but all of that just kind of gets pushed under the rug because Dalton is his.... well whatever he is to Jim.
  10. He did play 3 but only one was ultra, it's clearly the same rank up that was on the bottom of his deck. Also Chumlee if you'd have gone back a little further in the video you would also see him looking through his extra deck seeing what good outs he had to what loli was doing and he literally stopped at pleiades and stared at it before picking up his deck and finding rank up magic.    But i told Jono and Bodan last night when we were looking at this, everything in the entire video looks super suspicious except for the fact that he straightened out his deck right after loli cut the first time. I don't really get why someone would do that if their intention was to get him to cut again in the exact same spot to put rank up on top.   Yeah but at the same time; I don't see a reason to want your opponent to cut so bad if something wasn't up. Yes and you're right about the Ultra which kind of throws away the argument of luck because it was the same card.   The really fucked up part of all of this though is when it eventually gets swept under the rug and forgotten and probably not even acknowledged by arg staff until the next time something like this happens, and then swept under again until the next time, and the next time, and the next, etc. It's pretty depressing but if history repeats itself I don't think much will come of it, hopefully not though.   I mean if everyone really wants something to get done about it then people should start emailing/messaging Jim explaining why this kind of thing deters people from wanting to show up to his tournaments while also jeopardizing the credibility of his tournaments and how seriously they should really be taken. Like for example, Patrick and most of the yugioh community have accepted that ARGs are to be considered "premiere events" but it brings into question how accurately the results of the tournaments are when people are consistently allowed to get away with "shady" things throughout multiple tournaments over a long period of time.
