    Yes, if they just have the two scales you draw 2 and discard 1, if you wait for them to play Wavering Eyes and chain you will draw 3 and discard 1.
  2. A Melody Against the Meta

    Monsters: (15) 3 Kristya 3 Mozarta 2 Summoner of Illusions 2 Gellenduo 3 Aria 2 Soprano   Magic: (9) 3 Trade-In 3 1st Movement Solo 3 Upstart   Trap: (16) 3 All-Out Attacks 3 Battle Mania 2 Ojama Trio 3 Chain Material 3 T Roar 2 Call of the Haunted   Extra; 3 Bloom Diva ...nothing else matters   The idea is to get Bloom Diva out in defense mode then activate Ojama Trio and chain Battle Mania/All-Out Attacks. This combo causes 9900 dmage so Upstart is allowed to be played as well. Summoner of Illusions is in here along with Chain Material to get Diva out and she can avoid their destruction effects. Mozarta is needed for Bloom Diva and Kristya is another level 8 that has synergy with the deck. Aria is here to get her stall on when ss'd and gellenduo can do the same. Soprano can help ss Diva if I have Mozarta in hand when brought out via solo. Trade-In helps with speed as chain material can target the grave as well and T Roar helps with stall. Any help or additional insight that anyone can provide for this deck is greatly appreciated.

    Did some actual IRL testing at my locals and made the changes to the deck above with the addition of Macro and D Fissure and taking out Cylinders and Seal. Added Mirror Force over D Prison and took out the BTS because 3 Guardian answers effect nicely enough. MVPs so far are Overload and CotH, Testing was 2 Yosenju decks, Dark World and Madolche. Still early on, but liking the results. Will be looking for more meta matchups this weekend.

    The deck has been tested and whenever I increase the number of floodgate cards mained in the deck I lose to situational cards in the wrong situation or an inability to stop big fields. Now as it stands, I guess you only count Emptiness as the 2 floodgates to where I would count Dyna as a floodgate as well. I'm not saying that the deck has to be YCS caliber or maybe not even regionals at this point, but a building block to use at locals and get competitive play is what I'm aiming for. I don't count DN or Devpro as "official" testing because there are so many aspects of the game that are utilized in a F2F match then online. They are good for ratio building and hand problem solving, but not the actual tactics of the game.

Raigeki and Torrential are aimed to help the major problem with the deck of solving big fields. Overload and Diamond Core are nice editions to the deck, but the trap lineup has to be attack defensive instead of situationally defensive. The side will add or subtract based on the matchup, but I agree the deck has potential.  Any ideas on changes or general deck thoughts are appreciated. The monster lineup is pretty much concrete, but everything else would be up for changes.

      Against BA, they usually will still have a BA monster they can SS from their hand, especially turn 1. Veiler can't stop Disk. Skill Drain/Chalice/BTS is more effective vs. the other three.   Run 0-2 for both Drain and Chalice and forget about Veiler. Side Shadow Mirrors for BA and Shaddoll.

    Been looking at some random builds of this deck and it seems some people are playing the field spell along with Mega Granmarg. I understand how it looks on paper with him popping 2 set cards and also drawing you a card, but is he worth it in the end? Most things he would end up popping would probably be chainable anyways. Some builds have put him in place of Shell and others are running him + Shell. Thoughts on whether he has any relevance?

    That is just one of the uses for T Roar and D Prison is still an out to Construct as well. Like Aoi said, I can also chain T Roar to the first attack to allow Tann to summon and get the search next turn and the drop pretty much any synchro I need.

    The main idea is to avoid Construct from destroying my monsters regardless of their attack strength. Yazi can deal with Construct, but not on my opponent's turn.

With the new dark Yang Zings, I believe this deck has so much more potential. Plan on testing this @ locals this week and want to know if there is any insight from the community on this build.

    This is most likely the build that I'm taking to the NAWCQ.     What are your guys' opinion on siding 2 Horus Lv 6 & 1 Lv 8. Only versus the prophecy match and side out maxx c's and keep the veilers and breakthrough skill for priestess. Blaster can search Lv 6 or use him with Lvl 8 to pop a card. Redox can revive Lv 6 and you can pitch either dragon to help reborn another dragon.

      Don't know how I missed the sazank, but that definitely makes the deck function smoother than duradark. Might have 2 side a 2nd cash cache to see it faster, but will test...thanks.       The Decree was a misstep from formatting the two decks over to my playstyle. I'm maining the Trap Stun and D Fissure will be in the side simply b/c of the Mermail hate.   Deck Edited above......
