    Accidentally pos'd. I'm on my phone. Fairy wind is better since it'll destroy Tool and Skill Drain and whatever else is face-up. But on the subject Qliphort, Black Horn and Warning will be good against them because in the tcg they can used on pendulum summons of multiple monsters.   Basically the only way to deal with Killer is to prevent it's summon. Once it hits the board it's really hard to deal with. Metaion isn't a good enough answer for it since Skill Drain is a card plus you'd have to have a way to negate its summon because it'll most likely find its way back out. Sephylon can brick hard as fuck but most definitely answers it. Cyber Dragon is mehh because like it was said playing 1 card to deal with only 1 card out of 40 is bad yugis plus where is anyone finding room in the extra for Chimeratech? I wouldn't play Injection Fairy Lily since Solemn Advice will probably be a 3 of in all decks and LP isn't infinite. Solemn Advice's versatility makes it probably one of the best cards against the deck but it makes MST infinitely better going 2nd. You could also play the OG Horn of Heaven and ideally tribute off BA monsters to get their effects. It's never ideally summoned turn 1, so I believe negating its summon is the route you should go in dealing with Killer rather than trying to deal with it after it hits the board.

    But can't they just attack over Deneb with Altair lol   If you had an answer for Altair attacking then wouldn't that answer be reasonable to use after Altair resolves? I'm talkin like pwwb/break/kc and all these cards take precedence to this one.   If I wanted to discard 1 card to prevent an Altair from resolving I think I'd much rather just discard a Cycle Reader. Plus Cycle Reader is much better disruption against their Soul Charge plays than this card. Idk this card just seems like poop to me.

    i think you should be siding The Monarchs Stormforth alongside Vanity's to out established Shaddoll boards, mainly to get rid of Construct. Post Side, Hoban's list's only outs to Vanity's are Dragon, Squamata, Ryko, and Compulse. The former 3 have to be set to out Vanity's so Stormforth easily deals with them, granted Dragon and Squamata will trigger. Compulse on the other hand, well fuck, it is what it is.

    So currently we're having a debate on what to side against the mirror. On our ride home from Toronto, Jordano brought up Ojama Trio to me. Card seems good for now until we get the synchro but then I mentioned this to my boys albanese and rizzi and they both said they aint with the shits and that flying c is much better.   In the mirror i can only see 4 cards stopping Trio: Wiretap, Trap Stun, Vanity's Emptiness, and Chain D. On the otherhand, Flying C is stopped by Vanity's, Chain D, raigeki break, book, etc. (No ones playing Dark Hole right now, but I guess that would be an out to both as well). But in comparison, although both lose to Emptiness, you lose Trio indefinitely but still keep Flying C in hand when emptiness is chained.   Originally I thought that Ojama Trio would be better because they couldn't tribute the tokens off for a monarch unlike flying c and took up 3 of their monster zones which means all their xyz plays would be severely limited. Trio also meant that Downerd becomes better and resolving a Trio also meant that you could potentially sit back and deck your opponent out if they didn't have any outs to it. The damage dealt from their destruction is so minimal that i felt that it was irrelevant. But after carefully analyzing both cards I'm still back and forth between Flying C and Trio. Both have their pros and cons but which one is truly better?    or

    It might be a shit idea but like it was proposed in the Dragon Ruler Discussion a minute back we could always try  as an out to floodgates.   Good discard fodder for PWWB/Break which will remove 2 cards for you. Also note that it's a light and can support Chaos Sorcerer and BLS.   On it's own however, it seems pretty shitty. Idk it's just an idea although MST, Mal Cat, Twister, Dust, Wiretap are all just infinitely better.

    Shaddolls are just too strong. You'll just be trying to fix an already bad matchup if you try adjusting this deck. One thing I can say is that Harig's concept of coupling Lance with the Hands is an interesting way to deal with Midrash. Another thing would be to try playing more Breakthrough Skills to make your Moralltach's and Fire Hands do something in this match-up. Also let's not forget that Myrmeleo helps this matchup by searching Deep Dark Trap Hole and Time-Space Trap Hole. These are just some things that I have been testing against Shaddolls, but again it's like I said, you're just gunna find yourself trying to fix an already inherently bad matchup.

    Yeah that does suck, but that's like saying "sucks that dweller isn't a chainable counter to dragon rulers". So what did people do? Activate it preemptively. Such is the case here. You'd have to summon Scythe preemptively to effectively buy you a turn. It may not be the best solution to beating Shaddolls since it does nothing to an established board, but it is a good way to control a simplified gamestate.

    What's the consensus on Black Horn in the new format? Me and my friends have started to dislike it both mained and sided. We've decided to replace it with a slightly better trap that gives us quite an edge vs any Artifact variant esp HAT. We just feel like Black Horn is just mainly useful against LS now that Gears have disappeared from the meta and so Deep Dark Trap Hole is just better since we can search it.

    Rhapsody in Berserk should definitely be in the extra thanks to LS. Not only does it provide graveyard management but it's also a dark for Soldier and makes your Pleiades a bitch to deal with on Soul Charge plays. I often find myself removing Breakthrough Skills with its effect to ensure my Artifact effects go off thus efficaciously allowing me to control my opponents board and limit what they do. By doing this against LS, you keep their milling monsters off board and effectively manage their grave to make their JDs and Diabolos' dead in hand. Just some things I've found in testing.

    Neo-spacian grand mole was def the MVP vs them all day. I was also main decking a tking. From the side besides the usual acid trap hole and noc. Soul taker was really handy at making x or accel miss timing. Also I tested a mistake in the side to keep the armors from overwhelming me when I couldn't get over the booty. I find that Universe, Black Horn, NoC, and Acid Trap Hole are all I really need to win that matchup.
