  2. WATER - Discussion

Since we have Phantom Knight of Break Sword here in the TCG with Wing Raider's Debut, it opens up some possibilities in the main deck.   For starters, if you have a level 4 mermail in hand or a gunde with a level 4 in grave, along with Teus + Water, you can summon Teus -> Add Abyssocea -> Ocea ef to ss Linde and Hilde -> overlay ocea and hilde into Break Sword -> Detach Hilde to target Linde and one card on your opponent's Field and destroy them, then use the effect of Linde and Hilde to get Level 4s, and from there you alot of possibilities to answer a threat on your opponent's board or threaten a strong board of your own with Shark + Trite, and so on.   Running multiple Break Sword could also be a possibility in the Extra, but space is tight.

I think the mermail engine has the tools to go first, it just requires some deck tweaking.   If anything, the reason why Mermails were so focused on going second blind is because you gain the most mileage out of the Atlanteans going second when there are cards your opponent has for you to destroy. Neptabyss and Dragoons are the only Atlantean cards that are good going both First and Second because they add consistency while being able to facilitate plays.
  4. Alright, thanks for clarifying. I figured "this card" would imply that/restrict that play.
  5. Rescue Hamster Level: 4, Category: Monster, Type: Beast / Pendulum, Attribute: EARTH   Pendulum Effect: You can banish this card from your Pendulum Zone; add 2 face-up Pendulum Monster Cards with the same name from your Extra Deck to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Rescue Hamster" once per Duel. Monster Effect: During the turn this card was Normal Summoned, if you have a face-up Level 5 or lower Pendulum Monster Card in your Extra Deck: You can Tribute this card; choose 1 Level 5 or lower Pendulum Monster Card in your Extra Deck, and Special Summon 2 monsters from your Deck with the same name as that card, but their effects are negated, also they are destroyed during the End Phase.   -------------------------   Hey,   Had a quick ruling question regarding Rescue Hamster's "Monster Effect" that I posted above. I noticed that there is no OPT clause listed on the card, except on its Pendulum Effect. So let's say I Normal Hamster in my MP1, and assuming I have valid targets to resolve its effect multiple times. Could I use Hamster's effect more than once a turn?   The wording in the effect implies that it only needs to be Normal Summoned once during the turn at some point for that condition to be applied since it doesn't require it to be the first action you take when you Normal Summon the card (so you could go MP1, Normal Hamster, and then proceed to MP2 and use its effect).   So an example scenario would be: Normal Hamster, use effect to Tribute and SS 2 from the Deck, Pend Summon Hamster from the Extra, use Hamster effect again.     <-- Is this a legal play?   EDIT: I re-read Hamster again, and I realized the effect has the language, "this card," meaning you would have to use that specific copy of Hamster (not another copy of Hamster) in order to use its effect, right?

    People actually play Mafia?
  7. Wing Raiders

Apparently its been confirmed via article that E-Tele may be getting another reprint in this set?   http://shonenjump.viz.com/blog/posts/extraordinary-xyz
  8.   Well, how about you follow the forum rules. If you want advice on your particular deck build then go post it in the Deck Garage, but even then you kinda need to do a bit more than ask us why your deck is bad.   I was legitimately thanking him dude.   It's generally frowned upon to make posts about a decklist in anything not named Deck Garage, especially without explanation on card choices. Instead of asking why your deck was bad, you should instead post a decklist and explain your reasoning as to why you have "x" amount of cards and your results in testing.
  9. Kozmo - Discussion

Another positive is that it already fuels the strategy of using Call of the Haunted/Oasis to tutor things that are pitched via Reasoning, Tincan, etc. and its a Level 5 for Nova/Infinity.   Plus its a cost to send the monster to the grave, which is all you really want from the effect, the stat loss is just extra. It can still help you beat over monsters in case you can't get to dank destroyer and it floats to stormtrooper if needed to set up an xyz play or anything else you need.
  10. Kozmo - Discussion

Referring to an earlier post about some decklist in Sydney that topped using Stormtrooper, I think this card would have synergy with Stormtrooper.   Shuttle pitches something to the grave, Stormtrooper revives from the grave, seems like there is some synergy there.
  11. WATER - Discussion

If I'm not mistaken, can't you use Moulin's effect more than once per turn by bouncing it via Dewloren?   I vaguely remember that being legal when the deck was first released that you could do something similar but I don't remember. If that is the case, I think at the cost of your next BP, knocking out 4 cih from your opponent with dudeloren seems pretty good.   I'm pretty sure I'm wrong on that though.
  12. Magician Pendulum - Discussion

Interesting decklist. I haven't tried the Draco engine, but I would imagine its a bit better now with Draco Face-Off. Have you given any thought to Monkeyboard? It lets you see more copies of Joker, which is important to the overall consistency of the deck, and is a potential target for Sky Iris (albeit rarely used in any Magician decklists). ----- Do you run the lone Timebreaker Magician as an out to monsters like Naturia Beast? I don't think I would include him in any build since hes not a great card by himself, pend effect is only useful when hes the only pend summoned card, and he give any inherent advantage. Would like to hear your opinion on the card. ----- With 3 Oafdragon, 2 Nobledragon Magician, and 3 Tuning Magician, would you consider bumping the copies of Mathematician and/or Twin Twister?     Mathematician is limited.   Oh haha I actually forgot about that. Woops

I don't think cutting Dragonpulse is wise since he can still out important cards like Rafflesia, but imo, he shouldn't be at more than one. Dragonpit I think is much more useful after this set with triple Solemn Strike and Ariadne, not to mention, he's a scale 8 for anyone wanting to run Odd-Eyes in their decklist. I do think Tuning Magician is pretty average, but I think of the best advantages about Magicians is how versatile they can be. It's just a matter of finding the best way to incur advantage in the deck. Synchros I think are much better for Pendulums than Xyz because you can get value from synchroing with pend monsters when they go to the extra rather than going to the grave using them as materials.
  15. Magician Pendulum - Discussion

I can understand putting in copies of Monkeyboard since it lets us see Joker more often and can be popped with Sky Iris for an Odd-Eyes card, but I can't really see the use of Silver Claw in the Main Deck since we don't even have have enough Performapals to fully use its effect.
