  1. Tool

It's not that I care what people listen to, it's that it gets on my nerves when someone tells me that a band I like is Generic and like every other band. I personally don't look at music that way. If A band or person's music makes me feel something (like all music does). I'm not looking for something new or something to expand my tastes all the time, I'm looking for good music. Shit that makes me feel good, or that gets me moving, or speaks a message to me. So surely those feelings, movements or messages are unique to that song? Meaning...bands can be unique? And surely, if 1000000 bands have said the -exact same thing-, in the -exact same way-, they are no longer unique? God, you're being a moron here man. I don't care how you listen to or experience music, but don't expect me to change how I view music. And don't you dare judge me for it, either. You know I'm drunk right now lol I'm not judging you dude you are just like me when it comes to music pretty much :]

  4. I AM NOT

    There.
  5. Tool

In that sense, alot of bands that 'do it better' often times do it worse. Because you're in this mindset that you don't have to settle for less, like you're some kind of god or something. That's not what music is about, that's not what the person who made the music would want you to think.
  6. EVERYTHING YOU LISTEN TO IS COPIED IN SOME WAY SHAPE OR FORM, SO WHEN YOU TELL ME THAT A GENERIC BAND ISN'T GOOD, AND YOU SAY ANOTHER BAND IS GOOD, YOUR BAND ISN'T GOOD EITHER BECAUSE IT'S GENERIC TOO. I just want to know why people are so stuck on the nuts of Originality. NOTHING IS ORIGINAL. PLEASE PROVE ME WRONG. IT'S NOT ABOUT ORIGINALITY, IT'S ABOUT THE FUCKING MUSIC. HOW IT SOUNDS, WHAT IT MAKES YOU FEEL LIKE, WHAT IT SAYS TO YOU, NOT THE TEQNIQUES USED OR HOW DIFFERENT IT SOUNDS FROM ANOTHER BAND.
  7. Tool

I guess I must be a fucking joke then because Carnifex is better than Tool. Musically speaking, most likely since only Danny actually knows how to play an instrument in the band. However I find Tool more interesting than a generic second rate deathcore band. =/ So you're pretty much saying you prefer eating feces rather than a hot juicy steak. All you look for in music is something new, instead of looking for good fucking music. something I have heard done hundreds of times by many different bands isn't good to me anymore. See, and that's where some people think they're musically inclined and they're not. It's not about something different, it's about the music. :/ There is NOTHING that someone hasn't done before, so every band ever that ever existed has copied something from someone because we all use the same scales, the same instruments, the same notes, the same teqniques, etc.
  8. Alright so Basically:

What are you talking about? I'm gathering suggestions so I can bring them to my band. I'm not just gonna pick the name by myself. Not only that, but people aren't ACTUALLY suggesting half-decent names, I can give multiple occurances of not thought out responses in this thread if you'd like.
  9. I know Job For A Cowboy sucks but

I fully agree with that. Everyone thinks Job sucks so much. If they went back deathcore with their next album, or at least did something other than death metal that would be great for them imo. Like it's not really the MUSIC on Genesis that kills JFAC for me, it's the guys vocals because they just sound gay now. I mean don't get me wrong, his lows are on point, but it gets really boring really fast. If the music was more BREAKish then maybe it wouldn't be so bad, but it's like when you hear a song, it's all one time signature for the entire song, and that doesn't help the fact that his vocals aren't good.
  10. Alright so Basically:

Okay, Band names? This isn't a hard topic. I want as many possible choices as I can get so when I bring them to my band we know exactly where to go.
  11. I know Job For A Cowboy sucks but

Bro, Embedded was the first single they dropped with Genesis. Of course I was like that too, all the squeals are gone and I only heard ONE high scream in Embedded where he says "Reoccurance of Modern Times and Scriptures" I was pissed, I still am because I like the little bit of variety there is when it comes to deathcore vocals rather than all lows.

  13. Alright so Basically:

Did you honestly think I didn't know that? They're one of my favorite bands and I talk about Carnifex more than anyone on DGZ.
  14. I know Job For A Cowboy sucks but

DOOM was awesome for the time that it was released.
  15. I know Job For A Cowboy sucks but

I love the way the vocalist timed his words in "Embedded" from Genesis. Sadly, it's the only song I like from Genesis, and the rest is doo-doo. An incision leads to the future of the new world A mark buried deep under the skin and flesh will divide and distinguish man Signatures implanted on the hands and forehead Reoccurrence of modern times and scriptures Testament to holy doctrines written in vital blood In the extent all will hold something very similarly and accordingly All will bear his name with the distinct and original number of his signature In a new world with suppressing technology Lacerations lead to codes embedded in blood streams beneath the flesh Currencies fuse together to form a solitary and overruling capital Money evolves into cryptic letters and numbers that flow through the net A conflagration set to diminish papered riches, depleting its masterdom No longer capable of enslaving the likes of human kind from only presenting itself as a form of an object Fragments of ash flow through the atmospheres currents Onlookers breathe and inhale what they once worshipped. The demons solution, a new world order
