  1. Metalfoes

your not wrong, the primary issue with deck building for this deck is people fail to forget that its just a metalfoe deck that happens to have zoo incase you draw it, its not the main focus of your standard vanilla beatdown /mythrillium turbo
  2. Blue-Eyes - Discussion

dark lords have better draw power yes, but when it comes to deck building aggro decks, they have to geared towards consistency at 2 of the following things, going foward 1- whats my decks consistent turn one board/boards that are auto-win/ keep me in the game longer 2- how consistently can my deck break boards and create one after i destoryed my ops board, imo both decks are the same side of the coin, one just have a wider range of tools where the other is the same tool box inside and out ( given a few tech slots for both decks ) for blue-eyes i feel like the deck has to either find new ways of doing the same plays for less card economy, or have plays that when it they resolve allow you to further get more resources to keep pushing in game for dark lords, the extra deck needs optimization in the tcg, the deck has potentail to be a top contender
  3. Past Format warring

I'm down for this since I'm currently play mtg and enjoy older formats
  4. Monarch - Deck Discussion

I've been trying everything, and not really liking my results with anything. Running Allure means you have to commit to cards like Vanity's Fiend and the Edea engine. I don't think the draw power is worth having to use those. If they ever become the way to go I would definitely play Allure next to them. Why do people use Brilliant Fusion? It only helps you unbrick when you've already resolved a Pantheism and still drew nothing off it. It forces you to play Edea and Garnet. All it really does to help you unbrick is give you a monster to tribute. In all other scenarios it seems like it's just giving you more power you don't need. I do like the idea of running Brilliant Fusion with Metaphys Armed Dragon and Gem-Knight Lazuli, because it's giving you tribute fodder AND a target for Tenacity to help you unbrick. But it seems like people are playing it for the wrong reasons.  Metaphys Armed dragon + lazuli  are just so good for this deck, brilliant fusion unbricking hands are just so good You have to wonder if more tribute monsters in place of the brilliant package isn't just better though. But it does give you tribute fodder.. I was referring to the interaction where brilliant fusion can become a tenacity enabler , since majority of monarchs issues ep in the current game is if you brick you lose. I try to focus on consistency over gimmicks or win moar majority of the time. Like brilliant fusion has been 50/50 in testing you draw your brilliant target op hand your already at such a huge disadvantage reasons why I feel like 2 brilliant fusion targets ( lazuli has more merits then garnet IMO) Like the interactions are Lazuli - gets you vanillia tencity combo piece Garnet - if you draw in contributes to being a 19 beater

  6. WATER - Discussion

I don't know how I feel about playing brilliant fusion in mermails tbh, undine is great as well but they can contribute to many bricks
  7. Probably , I just don't particularly enjoy pepe mirrors
  8. That's another thing going second with this deck is so 50/50 like with monarchs a thing soon the question. I'm asking myself is can ii play yugioh going second wiyb this deck consistently
  9. Your insane if you don't think nat beast plus pleadies isnt one of the most degenerate boards in the mirror match still?
  10. WATER - Discussion

Always push it's best not to play the game with them if you don't have too @marcus yes I've been seeing that , honestly this deck is one of the underrated in the format IMO its one of the few decks that can start your op at 2-4 cards while you still have retained advantage. BTW reasoning is complete ass here , its more fit for a deck like kozmo or majespecters . @nb69 as well Marcus , I do completely agree with the mermails being lack luster, only lose most of your games when you draw more mermails then atlanteans . but that's really comes down to either A- player preference B- or time for mermails to evolve for the 5th time to keep up with the meta. Plus honestly for ycs atl I don't agree with pepe as best choice , you straight up lose to degenerate shit like nat beast + pleadies (or traptrix or evilswarm nightmare) Also if we play floodgates because twin twister is a card , how do you like the idea of playing huge revolution is over? Its applications are actually just pretty insane since it can blow out your op from a power play.
  11. WATER - Discussion

One of the things I'd like to point out now that the format is a bit more defined, @marcuthekid congratz on your top BTW. Double dweller in testing has been very clutch tbh, against most meta decks its still a blow out and the 500atk increase helps us beat over dark dick( aka destoryer) Been playing around with bird man in my current list to recycle waters + diva and allows for some pretty degenerate combos. I think it should see merit or be a topic of discussion. Also pepe match up is literally only match up that's legit really 50/50 ( I could be wrong ) but don't know whether to push through maxx c if I make a huge board or to just pray they don't have the degenerate nuts , but that's just my 2 cents atm
  12. Understanding the Influx of Pendulum Bullshit

But the pendulums you blow up with wavering go to the extra to reuse, so while i get what you're saying about needing scales up again to pend, the scales aren't "lost". Also consider WE + Plush > Juggler to fetch another scale and pend summon back plush + dudes. You can stall the fuck out of kozmo with Pend decks. Besides that, resolving Ignister removes a ship or town or whatever and also puts another dracoslayer in the extra or on the board, and yet again, turns on plush for more retardation. I could agree to SBing the WE out vs Kozmo and most non-pend decks, but I feel strongly that if you're playing a pend deck that you should be maining it for auto-wins vs the mirrors.     I was intrigued when I saw the feature of that guy from San Jose running Brilliant. I really like the idea for the reasons you mentioned, despite the possibility of drawing Garnet. Having upwards of 7 plushfire to open with is strong. One issue I'm concerned with is that it takes up 5 slots in a deck that is already starting to feel constrained for space once you start maining Maxx C and Upstarts (which I think are necessary at this point to hit power cards). Could you elaborate on your build more?     Once you start running Painful, you're committing to running the full 3 Vector. Is 4+ Vectors worthwhile? At that point the Vectors and 2-3 Conductors comprise all your lower scales correct? idk Destins theory behind that was it fixed most hands and that double normal summon was flat out unfair
  13. Shaddoll - Discussion

idk about all of you but , we need to focus on making the deck go back to what it was origannly suppose to do in the first place, not throw all these gimmicky cards like rota. and stuff. you make your deck explosive but shitty grind and mid game . also from testing 1-1-1 clown seems good enought
  14. Shaddoll - Discussion

Go on   felt like with b.a. as a deck , and unicore @3  and other variables , that i rather have any other combo piece card or card to advance my own gamestate, plus extra deck is so tight and my current extradeck space is so tight as it is, i rather have more r4 access then have a potientail card i may not use in the course of the game
  15. Shaddoll - Discussion

rota dolls are consistent from testing  star seraph dolls are very strong early game    noden .. has been okay ish unless im playing the star seraph
