1. For those who are not familiar with the concept of the deck:   Disaster Dragon is an Aggro Control deck that plays disruption strategies mixed with lockdown and high aggression to gain and maintain control of the board. It carries a lot of momentum and explosive power as the deck can consistently drop two or more monsters per turn without losing advantage and often times they will be big monsters. This is done through the use of the deck's backbone card, "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon". This card is one of the most powerful dragons in the deck, outclassed only by a potential "White Night Dragon", or "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon". Red-Eyes' effect allows for the constant re-use of monsters from the Graveyard, as well as the ability to bypass the Normal Summoning limit and the requirements for Tributes that many decks suffer from. As a result, Disaster Dragon decks are packing some of the most destructive, highest ATK monsters in the present Metagame because they can bypass the tribute mechanic required to summon them.   Through the usage of cards such as "Koa'ki Meiru Drago", "Exploder Dragon" and "Light and Darkness Dragon" the deck is capable of shutting down and eliminating a majority of plays made by the current popular decks. The deck plays like a toolbox, with "Masked Dragon" working to recruit the dragons you need for tributes, Synchro Summon, Xyz Summon, monster removal, etc and cards like Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon and "Genesis Dragon" allowing you to reuse, manipulate, or trade dragons around. Cards such as "Foolish Burial", and "Dragon Ravine" allow you to dump dragons into your graveyard faster while also aiding in the deck's inherent synergy, but some dragons such as "Yamata Dragon" or "Light and Darkness Dragon" cannot be Special Summoned, thus they are unable to bypass their two-tribute requirement via "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon" as most dragons would do. Instead, the deck utilizes "Totem Dragon", a self-recurring dragon that can act as two tributes in order to Tribute Summon a Dragon-type monster. Being a Dragon itself, Totem Dragon is a viable target to search with "Masked Dragon" or to dump with "Future Fusion". It can also be revived by Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon.   With the release of Lord of the Tachyon Galaxy, Disaster Dragon get another incredible supports in the form of Dragon Rulers, which have varied useful effects depending on their Attribute while also providing offensive boosts and fixing most issues that Disaster Dragon deck has ever since "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon" is Limited in September 2012 Lists.     Monsters: 20   1x Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon 1x Light and Darkness Dragon 1x Blaster, Dragon Ruler of Infernos 1x Tidal, Dragon Ruler of Waterfalls 1x Tempest, Dragon Ruler of Storms 1x Redox, Dragon Ruler of Boulders 3x Koa'ki Meiru Drago 2x Blizzard Dragon 3x Masked Dragon 1x Delta Flyer 1x Exploder Dragon 1x Totem Dragon 1x Eclipse Wyvern 1x Debris Dragon 1x Flamvell Guard   Spells: 10 3x Dragon Shrine 3x Mystical Space Typhoon 1x Gold Sarcophagus 2x Pot of Duality 1x Book of Moon   Traps: 10 1x Solemn Warning 1x Torrential Tribute 2x Raigeki Break 2x Skill Prisoner 2x Castle of Dragon Souls 2x Dragoncarnation   Extra: 15 1x Stardust Dragon 1x Stardust Spark Dragon 1x Scrap Dragon 1x Crimson Blader 1x Trident Dragion 1x Star Eater 1x Ancient Fairy Dragon 1x Black Rose Dragon 1x Queen Dragun Djinn 1x Lightning Chidori 1x Abyss Dweller 1x Number 101: Silent Honor Ark 1x Leviair the sea Dragon 1x Number 11: Big Eye 1x Mecha Phantom Beast Dracossack   The deck itself is quite consistent, it is able of controlling the pace of the game very fast through the use of your small dragons (Koa'ki Meiru Drago, Masked Dragon, Exploder Dragon) and big dragons (4 Dragon Rulers, REDMD, LaDD). Now that we have access to the dragon rulers, I feel like the deck is pretty good and can actually held its own againts the meta. Before anyone says that this particular deck is dead since the september 2012 list, I am just gonna say right now that this deck is far from dead. As long as Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon is not banned, the deck itself will stay alive and will keep evolving as format changes and as more dragon support are being potentially released.   People seem to forget that this deck greatess strenght is: Adaptabilty and the fact that it can evolve through formats as Disaster dragons has alot of variants to play from. In conclusion, as long as players such as Richard Clarke (The Deck's Creator) and other veteran Disaster Dragon players who loved the deck since its beginning still contributes into this deck, the deck would truly not ''die''.
  2. Stardust Memories - Assault Mode

If you draw Stardust Assault mode, you can still fall back on the Dragunity/Dragon Engine. Assault Beast is 2000 ATK with tenki and can also be discarded with Redox's effect if Stardust Assault is no longer viable. However, the way the deck is now you are almost always able to make Stardust Assault mode first turn if you draw Tenki, Assault Beast, or Assault Mode Activate.   The deck is currently more on the aggressive side in order to ensure first turn stardust nearly every time. However, I am open to making it more defensively balanced.

B) Set any backrow you have and pass turn with Ravine, Stardust Dragon, Atum, and 0/0 REDMD.  If the opponent cannot clear your two monsters (because you set protection) REDMD and Atum can summon more monsters which will allow you to win on that turn or make it damn near impossible for the opponent to crack your board.   Needs Mystletainn, Dux, BW Zeph in hand with a Phalanx in the grave and 2 Hieratic Dragon King of Atum -Summon Dux, Equip Phalanx, send Phalanx to summon Mystletainn.  Equip and special Phalanx, tune with Dux to summon Gae Dearg. -Search Garuda the Wind Spirit and discard BW Zeph with Dearg and overlay with Mystle to make Atum.  Detatch Gae Dearg to summon REDMD from deck. -Have REDMD revive Phalanx and have Zeph bounce REDMD to summon itself, take 400.  Tune Phalanx and Zeph for Vajrayana, equip and special Phalanx. -Remove Atum to summon REDMD. -Banish a Dux to summon Garuda.  Tune it with Phalanx to summon another Vaj, equip and special Phalanx. -Overlay both Vaj to make another Atum.  Detatch to summon Leyvatein from the deck. -Have REDMD revive a Vaj and tune it with Phalanx to make a Level 8.  If you're going second this can be Scrap Dragon and you can have it pop Ravine to pop a card. -Overlay Leyvatein and your Level 8 into Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon.  Xyz Summon Gaia Dragon the Thunder Charger on top of your Atum.   End Field; Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon, Gaia Dragon the Thunder Charger and Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon.   When you open with REDMD First off this will happen to you no matter how much you don't want it to.  However the deck can work around this if you open with a means of getting Phalanx in Grave and Dux in hand (ie, open Ravine + Phalanx). -Summon Dux, equip and special Phalanx.  Make Gae Dearg and dump BW - Zephyros to the grave. -Bounce Ravine to summon Zephyros and remove Gae Dearg to Summon REDMD.  Revive Phalanx with REDMD's effect and proceed to make Vajrayana via Phalanx + Zephyros then from there make a Level 8 (again, Stardust).   End field; Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon, Level 8 Synchro with a Dragon Ravine in hand at minimum.  Not the best field but it does allow you to put pressure on the opponent right there as Red-Eyes will be generating constant advantage through his effect if left unchecked.     Needs Dux, Mystletainn, and a way to get Phalanx in grave (tempest, CoC, ravine, foolish, etc): - Dux gets phalanx, sac phalanx for mystletainn, get back phalanx, make Gae Dearg dumping Zephyros - Xyz mystletainn and dearg into first atum getting redmd by detaching Dearg, revive dearg with redmd - Dearg dumps baby roc, special summoning itself Field should be: redmd, roc, atum, dearg - Sync roc and dearg for Scrap Dragon - Bounce redmd with zeph, special summon redmd by banishing atum, redmd revive dearg Field should be: redmd, scrap, dearg, zeph - Dearg searches Garuda by discarding any dragon/winged-beast, special summon garuda - Xyz garuda and zeph into Queen Dragun Djinn, use djinn's effect to revive mystletainn - Xyz mysletainn and dearg for second atum, atum summons KKM Drago from deck. - Overlay Gaia Dragon on top of atum   Ending Field: Redmd, Scrap Dragon, Queen Dragon Djinn, Gaia Dragon, and KKM Drago 2800 + 2800 + 2200 + 2600 = 10400 with 2600 piercing, a Scrap Dragon pop, and no fear of gorz/trag.     With Leyvaten in the main Same setup as above: - Dux gets phalanx, sac phalanx for mystletainn, get back phalanx, make Gae Dearg dumping Zephyros - Xyz mystletainn and dearg into first atum getting redmd by detaching Dearg, redmd revive phalanx - Bounce redmd with zeph, sync zeph and phalanx for first Vajrayana and get back phalanx - Special summon redmd by banishing atum, redmd revive dearg Field should be: phalanx, vaj, redmd, dearg - Use dearg effect to search a Garuda, special garuda - Sync garuda and phalanx for second vaj and get back phalanx - Sync vaj and phalanx for Crimson Blader/Scrap Dragon (because this loop involves trident, having cards to pop for scrap is not guaranteed) - Xyz other vaj and dearg for second atum, get Leyvaten from deck. Field should be: Level 8 synchro, redmd, atum, leyvaten - Leyvaten gets back phalanx, sync into Trident Dragion and pop as many cards as necessary - Overlay Gaia Dragon on top of atum - MP2 Xyz redmd and trident into Gustav if necessary   Ending Field: Redmd, Level 8 synchro, Gaia Dragon, Trident Dragion, and MP2 Gustav 2800 + 2800 + 2600 + 3000 - 9000 + 2000 = 13200 - 19200 with 2600 piercing.   Credit to Randy for both of these.     In regards to my own build it's pretty much moulded after the decklists I've seen pop up on Shriek with tweaks.  I'm not comfortable going less than 4 traps and I really like Fiendish's ability to stop attacks so I'm running them over the Veilers.  I'm also cycling between Lances and Legionnaire/Aklys to pop threats like T-King and Ophion.
  8. Win-D

Had this idea for awhile, built it on a few dueling programs like Duel Monsters Genesis, DuelingNetwork, etc, and basically been changing it whenever I'm bored. Reason behind the deck is it can toolbox from the extra pretty neatly. It also has an interesting interaction with Dark Simorgh and Anti-Spell (all the draw power allows you to draw into Anti-Spell pretty reliably, and the dark + wind synergy allows you to drop Simorgh very easily).  Those are 2 cards I constantly flip in and out. Also interesting to note that Raizbellt also acts as a defensive card when need be, fucking up the levels of your opponents monsters if they were to go for Ophion, or whatever xyz/synchro they are trying to make. Also considering Summoner Monk heavily. Thoughts and fixes appreciated. It can probably been improved upon vastly, but you guys get the jist;   3 Destiny Hero - Diamond Dude 2 Destiny Hero - Malicious 3 Dragunity Dux 3 Dragunity Phalanx 1 Elemental Hero Stratos 3 Raizbellt the Regulator   3 Cards of Consonance 1 Dark Hole 3 Destiny Draw 3 Emergency Teleport 1 Heavy Storm 1 Monster Reborn 3 Mystical Space Typhoon 1 Reinforcement of the Army   2 Breakthrough Skill 3 Fiendish Chain 1 Solemn Judgment 1 Solemn Warning 2 Torrential Tribute   1 Ally of Justice Catastor 1 Black Rose Dragon 1 Crimson Blader 3 Dragunity Knight - Vajrayana 1 Scrap Dragon 1 Stardust Dragon 1 Stardust Radiance Dragon 1 Trident Dragon 1 Abyss Dweller 1 Lightning Chidori 1 Maestroke the Symphony Djinn 1 Photon Strike Bounzer 1 Wind-Up Zenmaines
  9. Dragunity - Discussion Dragunity is a new decktype, formed through cards released in Hidden Arsenal 3 and Structure Deck: Dragunity's Legion. Dragunity is basically a poor man's TeleDAD, using many of the same concepts and plays TeleDAD used with more balanced cards and a far more streamlined and much less versatile monster lineup. The deck aims to drop Stardust Dragon turn 1 and ride it to victory, continously dropping Synchros while camping on the Stardust to force through their plays. Monsters commonly played in Dragunity: Phalanx is the heartbeat of the deck. The common play is to go Summon Dux (see below)' date=' equip Phalanx and Special Summon it to the field, Synchro Summon Dragunity Knight - Vajrayana, equip Phalanx and Special Summon it to the field, Synchro Summon for a Level 8 Synchro of your choice. Using Dragon Ravine and Cards of Consonance you can accomplish this play on your first turn frequently, normally ending your first turn with a Stardust Dragon to protect Dragon Ravine. See Phalanx for common plays. Dux is also useful as a 1900 beater when equipped with Phalanx and being a Winged Beast for Icarus Attack if you choose to go that route. Akyls is an alternate tuner for the deck' date=' and 2 copies have became the standard for most Dragunity builds. The ideal play is to go summon Legionnaire (see below), equip Akyls and activate Legionnaire's effect to destroy a face-up monster. After this chain resolves, Akyls will activate and destroy another card on the field of your choosing! This play is especially useful for clearing fields to setup Dux plays next turn and clearing fields. Ruling Note: Akyls is a mandatory effect, so if your opponent only has 1 face-up monster on the field and you send Akyls with Legionnaire's effect you must destroy 1 of your own cards. See Akyls for common plays. Legionnaire can also be used to get Phalanx and make a LV5 Synchro of your choice. And now we have reached the tough part. The deck essentially has 4 monsters it can run right now without problems, but even if you max all 4 you will only have 12 monsters. The key to the deck's success will be finding ways to win without Dragon Ravine and finding the right mix of monsters outside of the previously listed 4. I would like to believe Zephyros is essentially a staple. You can dump it with Ravine' date=' it is a Level 4 Winged Beast so you can make Vajrayana with it, and it allows you to return Ravine or Monsters that got hit by Effect Veiler to your hand for reusage. Other Monster options: Breaker the Magical Warrior D.D. Crow Dragunity Arma Mystletainn Dragunity Arma Leyvaten Effect Veiler Maxx "C" Morphing Jar Reborn Tengu Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon Red-Eyes Wyvern Sangan Tour Guide From the Underworld Spells & Traps commonly played in Dragunity: You should run 3 copies of this alongside 3 copies of Terraforming. You always want to see Dragon Ravine turn 1 because opening with it drastically increases your chances of winning the game. If you have extra copies of Terraforming or Ravine, you can just pitch them to activate Ravine. Dragon Ravine makes the entire deck flow seamlessly, you absolutely need to see it as soon as you can. However, you should be wary of Mystical Space Typhoon (and Dust Tornado, which is once again increasing in popularity) on your Dragon Ravine and you should always try to avoid playing Ravine until you have cleared their backrows or believe with a strong conviction that they do not have MST set. Essentially a Destiny Draw for the deck' date=' Dragunity should be running anywhere between 5-6 targets for Consonance. You can Ravine targets into your hand or pitch dead copies of Consonance to activate Ravine so at least 2 copies is pretty much mandatory in here. Pot of Duality has always been a point of contention for Dragunity players. Duality helps you get out of poor hands, but when the deck gets rolling you will most likely never want to activate it. You may be able to play Duality on your second turn if you made Stardust Dragon turn 1 to dig for more defensive removal, but you have to be careful here because if your opponent has Mystical Space Typhoon they can chain it to Pot of Duality and you will either have to sacrifice the Stardust to protect it or lose the Ravine. Icarus Attack is also noteworthy. Legionnaire and Dux are both targets for it, but most of the time it is better to Synchro with Dux. Icarus is invalueable for clearing backrows to let you go off, but unlike Blackwing, Dragunity cannot take advantage of Icarus Attack quite as easily and does not have nearly as many targets. Dimensional Prison versus Bottomless Trap Hole is an on-going debate. Some builds even choose to run neither. Bottomless protects Stardust Dragon from Chaos Sorcerer/Black Luster Soldier by allowing you to chain Bottomless Trap Hole to the summon and then chaining Stardust Dragon to negate Bottomless and destroy it and dodge the effect, but Prison is better if you go 2nd and they already have a troublesome monster (such as Thunder King Rai-Oh) on the field. The biggest issue with Dragunity is going 2nd and not being able to clear the field so most players prefer Dimensional Prison for this reason. 1 copy of each is also a viable choice. Extra Deck Staples: 2-3 Dragunity Knight - Vajrayana 1 Ally of Justice Catastor 1 Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier 1 Scrap Dragon 1 Stardust Dragon 1 Thought Ruler Archfiend Common plays are listed under Phalanx, although it is also worth noting that Vajrayana can get back Aklys then send it to the Graveyard to go up to 3800 ATK and destroy a card in the process. Colosssal Fighter and Thought Ruler Archfiend are also both viable options, but due to the release of more Extra Deck options you may find you do not have room for both. I feel this spot will become a meta pick, just choose whichever one you feel helps you deal with other meta cards better at the time. Red Dragon Archfiend is also an option for being able to clear walls, but Scrap Dragon can normally handle this. I see no reason to bother with Dragunity - Gae Bulg and Dragunity - Gae Dearg. Vajrayana does the same thing as Gae Bulg, except Vajrayana is infinitely better. Gae Dearg's only usefulness is if you choose to Main a copy of D.D. Crow, as it lets you search it but this is hardly worth an Extra Deck slot unless the meta develops to the point mained Crow is everywhere. T.G. Hyper Librarian should also be included normally, as it can be very good to go into it with Legionnaire + Phalanx and make them think twice about Synchro plays. A few things about playing Dragunity worth noting: While Dragunity appears to most as a very simple deck to play due to the straightforward nature of the cards and builds, Dragunity is actually quite a difficult deck to play correctly. You will generally have a multitude of options for your Synchro plays and you have to make the proper decisions on which Synchro you will need. It is not always as easy as summoning Stardust Dragon and setting 4 backrow, especially now that Heavy Storm is legal. If you do not know what you are playing against, or are playing against a deck that could be running Dimensional Prison you should avoid attacking with Stardust Dragon into backrows. The average player tends to get greedy here and will end up losing the Stardust Dragon to Dimensional Prison, which ends the lock and lets the opponent back into game. Unless you absolutely need to end the game soon or you will lose you should make safe plays and continue to camp behind the Stardust Dragon and continue pressing with other Synchros. You must also be wary of Gorz the Emissary of Darkness, who can come down after a Stardust attack and ruin everything. Avoid playing Ravine into backrows unless you are in a position where you have no other choice. I have lost count of the amount of times I have seen the following posts: MST > Dragunity This deck fucking sucks, they chain MST on Ravine and you lose While it is true MST chained to your Dragon Ravine blows, if this is happenening to you on a consistant basis you are playing Dragunity poorly. Sometimes you will indeed just have to go for or you will lose, but just because you have a hand that can Ravine combo on your 1st turn does not mean it is always the optimal play to do so. You want to avoid activating Ravine unless you can make a Stardust Dragon to protect it, otherwise your Ravine is a sitting duck. You should be patient and try to force out backrows and gather reads on your opponent's backrows before going off, otherwise you will be in for a world of hurt and quick defeats. If you have a good hand but you went second, don't blow it. Be patient and wait for an opening. Admittedly there are certain decks and times you cannot do this, but for the most part patience is the key to Dragunity. In conclusion, Dragunity is a deck with a simple but effective gameplan. You might see all the plays coming in Dragunity, but that does not necessarily mean you can stop all the plays. This deck had a brief time in the spotlight at the beginning of the previous format before falling off the map, but on the bright side most of the decks bad matchups (Six Samurai, Frog Monarch, Fish OTK) got hit significantly by the banlist. While Agents are indeed a problem Legionnaire + Akyls can clear Kristya fields and the deck no longer has to worry about people consistently setting 3 backrow turn 1.

I have also lost only once to this deck as well it was a close game as well. Game 3 was one off the top deck of rabbit while he had no cards and I had a face up ravine. Inzektors have the same issue as rabbit fighting stardust dragon and thought ruler archfiend. they cant use hornet to kill thought ruler. I lost once to this deck thanks to a forbidden lance in response to my chain disapearance Wind-Up is a match up that can get out of control but with all the monster negation normally is not an issue. I am also looking to add a 3rd effect veiler to the main but space is so tight I am unsure what I should cut for it. If you think I should add it give a suggestion on what to cut and if you think i shouldn't add it say that as well. Thanks again Oh one more thing should I be sideing 2 copies of D.D. Crow and is so what to drop from the side

  12. Gusto-Dragunities

Main 3x Zephyros 2x Aklys 3x Dux 3x Legion 3x Phalanx 1x REDMD 1x Grif 1x Windaar 1x Baby Roc 2x Veiler 2x Maxx C 2x Consonance 3x Ravine 1x Heavy 1x Reborn 3x MST 1x Avarice 3x Terraforming 2x Warning 1x Judgment 1x Mirror Extra 1x Dearg 3x Vajrayana 1x Stardust 1x Thoughtruler 1x Crimson Blader 1x Scrap Dragon 1x Brionac 1x Librarian 1x Catastor 1x Colossal or Trident Dragion 1x Atum 1x Gaia Dragoon 1x SMP7 Notes: - Grif can be at 2-3x as discarding it via Ravine allows its effect to work - REDMD and Baby Roc can be at 2x - if you're scared of opening a Windaar, he can be at 2x - can add in extra 1x Atum, 1x Gustaph and 1x Gachi... see below The idea behind it is to go through a long setup to get REDMD (2800 ATK), SPM7 (1 attachment) and Stardust on the field on your first turn IF you open Terraforming/Ravine AND [Zephyros OR Dux]. After that, you continue playing Dragunities like normal with the synchro-climbing or legion-aklys controlling the duel. This becomes super explosive on your second turn (2x Atum, 1x Gustaph) if you manage to keep your monsters alive during your opponent's turn. The point of extra Grifs is to discard them with Ravine if you have an inconsistent hand so you can SS Windaar, search Phalanx/Aklys and summon them to go straight to level 8 synchros after your first turn or when you don't open a Zephyros with Ravine. Here are the steps of the initial setup: terraforming / ravine > discard zeph and search dux (or discard something and pitch zeph) > zeph effect > ss zeph > ravine > discard something and then pitch phalanx > summon dux > ss phalanx > ss vajrayana > ss phalanx > ss dearg > dearg effect > search grif and pitch it > ss windaar from deck > xyz atum on dearg and vajrayana > detach dearg and ss redmd > redmd effect > ss dearg > dearg effect > search and pitch aklys (if setting up control for next turn) or pitch baby roc (if you have 2x and are going for option 3 below) > xyz spm7 on dearg and windaar
REDMD (0/0) | SMP7 (2 attach) | Atum (1 attach)
Now, you have choices:
REDMD (2800/2400) | SMP7 (1 attach) | Stardust
> detach dearg > return redmd to hand > banish atum to ss redmd > ss dearg > search, discard and ss baby roc > ss stardust => 8000 atk
REDMD (2800/2400) | SMP7 (1 attach) | Atum (no attach)
> detach dearg > return redmd to hand > xyz gaia dragoon on atum > banish gaia dragoon to ss redmd > ss atum => 7900 atk
REDMD (3200/2800) | SMP7 (3100/2400; 1 attach) | Gae Dearg (2800/1200; effect used) | Gachi (2 attach)
* You had to have dumped Baby Roc earlier instead of Aklys. > detach dearg > return redmd to hand > banish atum to ss redmd > ss dearg > search, discard and ss baby roc > ss gachi => 9100 atk or you can keep the original configuration and try to weather your opponent's turn and then start making Gustaph and other neat combos:
REDMD (0/0) | SMP7 (2 attach) | Atum (1 attach)
> detach dearg > atum effect > detach vajrayana > ss redmd >ss dearg > do whatever > do whatever > xyz gustaph > gustaph effect > do whatever Personally, I think the one with Stardust choice is the best because now you can use SPM7's effect to bounce an opponent's card and have Stardust to protect Ravine or your monsters. Let me know what you think!
