I eventually dropped it purely because the amount of bad draws (the Karakuri tuners, Naturia Cherries, Gigaplant, Fallen Queen Angel of Roses, etc.) But this wasn't the only issue. The simple fact is that none of the combos in the deck worked without drawing one of only five cards (2 Lonefire Blossoms, 3 Super Solar Plant Nutrient.) However, with the release of Dragons of Legend, not only are there now both more and more powerful combos to be had when drawing either card, but we also have 2 three-offs that combo without drawing either (Mathematician + Soul Charge.) There was still one last problem that the original build that needed solving though, and that was floodgate decks like Bujin and more specifically Evilswarm were auto-losses. Yet again, Dragons of Legend saves the deck by giving it both 3 Ice hand and 3 Fire Hand to combat these decks with (in the side) so that they aren't auto-losses going after losing the die roll or winning but not opening combo.     So since the sets release, this has been the deck I've been working on and testing against Dragons and testing in general (well, this and my Infernity deck which is what I would use more seriously.) Being able to limit the useless draws in the deck to just two Gigaplant and D.D.R. pre-Spore helps decrease the odds a lot of bricking, but it is still possible. Some things to take note of that came up in testing:   With regards to rather or not to go through both Lonefire when using one: If you have Soul Charge, yes. If you have Plant Nutrient, no because then barring spore and dandy which aren't very ideal to summon with it in most cases, it will be basically dead (also you'd need to have used spore or dandy anyway in order to play it. If you happen to have both, still probably opt for using two because Soul Charge is a far more powerful card than Super Solar Plant Nutrient.   Wing Blast was something I added to help a little with the problem of drawing cards that are useless in the hand like Giga or Dandy or Spore while also being good going first or second aka good vs established boards or when they don't have established boards.   Cardcar D was the 40th card I put in the deck, this slot I still don't know about and is something I'd like some feedback on. I had Dark Hole in over it but it isn't that good vs Dragons so I scrapped it. I'm thinking something along the lines of more defense/another trap or maybe Book of Moon but I would still like some feedback.   I tried Fallen Angel but the level 7 barely ever came up and it was just another bad card to draw so I took it out.   Another thing that came up in testing (mostly against Dragons) was the issue of g1, and even g2 or 3 because I found I didn't always want to side the robot especially going first, getting killed through or not through C. Just dying in general and not having a turn to counter them. Maybe Swift Scarecrow? This is another thing I needed help with.   In nearly all situations barring Kaiser Trap Stun tends to be strictly better than MST in this deck, Especially vs soft locks like Spark Vanity or Stardust Drain.   Also, if anyone has suggestions for the side to help going first or second vs Dragons or just in general it would be appreciated.   The last thing I wanted to talk about was some of the combos you can do in this deck. I'm no where near automatic with them because they vary a lot and are way more complex than in infernity but here are the main combinations of cards and the combos I have worked on with them so far. If you have something better, please let me know (this being another thing I would like some help with) :   Lonefire + Soul Charge [spoiler]Soul Charge + Lonefire Blossum Summon Lonefire, tribute to summon Lonefire, tribute to summon Dandylion. Soul Charge both Lonefires, use Lonefire A to tribtue Dandylion to SS Spore and 2 tokens. Synchro spore and token for Formula Synchron to draw 1. Use Lonefire B to tribute other token for Gigaplant. Synchro Foruma and Lonefire A/B for T.G. Hyper Librarian. Banish Lonefire A/B from GY to SS Spore. Synchro with Lonfire A/B for Power Tool Dragon. Draw 1 with Librarian. Use the effect of Power Tool revealing 3 Supervise from deck. Activate on Gigaplant. Effect gigaplant to SS Spore. Synchro for Power Tool 2, Draw one with Librarian. Power Tool 2 Reveals 2 Supervise and 1 DDR from deck. Assume Supervise (see * for what to do with DDR.) Play Supervise on Giga, use giga to Revive Lonefire. Lonefire to Gigaplant 2, Overlay for M7 to add anything back from GY to Hand, overlay both Powertool Dragons for Dracosack, detach for 2 tokens. End field: 7 cards in hand, Dracossack, 2 tokens, Librarian, M7[/spoiler]   Lonefire + Supervise   [spoiler]Lonefire + Supervise Summon Lonefire, tribute to ss Giga. Play Supervise.   2. Grandsoil Psy-Plants

    Edit: Added new build for after the release of soul charge and mathematician.   This deck is pretty fun but a bit inconsistent but can dish out some massive damage out of nowhere. Grandsoil psychics have had problems with consistency in the past and adding in tytannial and chiribume only increase that, but it also gives you more good opening plays outside of witch and trooper through lonefire blossom. You also have access to the new level 10 synchro, Leo, the Keeper of the Sacred Tree, and also Divine Dragon Knight Felgrand, which are both very powerful cards which can be tough to deal with. Plants and psychics also both work really well with call of the haunted allowing for more plays and just grabbing back recruiters. This is pretty similar to something a few posters posted a while back but I didn't really see any lists going the grandsoil route.   This deck could use a lot more testing and such though but this is what I've been testing. Chirubime with meliae + lonefires can be annoying to clear and sets up strong plays for the next turn. This deck has a lot of options so I won't really go over every one.     Some card choices Hushed Psychic Cleric - I'm using him since he can extend plays and is a discard outlet for spore, dandy, redox, and the plant princesses.   Destructotron - Probably would cut either this or mind control, but he can be hit or miss. Sometimes he is the best thing ever and clears their sets as people set tons of stuff like MST and you can recruit him with witch, but other times he just eats their set such as fiendish or bottomless but that isn't necessarily a bad thing if he baits those out, if they fiendish you could synchro with it.   Crane Crane - A lot of synergy with the plant and psychic engines. Revives dandy, makes easy rank 3s such as meliae, and if they attack witch you have a strong follow with crane crane next turn.   Call of the haunted - Plants always have enjoyed using this card, allows for additional plays and just works well after you get something big like the princesses in the grave. Works with troopers, chrubime, witch, etc if they try to pop it.   Raigeki break - The deck has a few things that it likes to put in the grave so this works well here, just a versatile card overall.   Swift scarecrow - mermail and hieratics are scary, same reasoning for maxx "C" but they have some synergy with the earth engine   Leo, the Keeper of the Sacred Tree - Not too difficult to make here with the plant princesses, grandsoil, and redox. Can be tough for decks like fire fist to get over.   Divine Dragon Knight Felgrand - Might get cut, not sure but he can be made without too much trouble. If you go lonefire for chiribume you can call for lonefire for tytannial and make this. Also if you don't kill them with a grandsoil play and are scared of retaliation from something like exciton you can bring him out. other rank 8s such as Alsei, the Sylvan High Protector could also be options.

    I've been testing the other promising decks of the format and this one i find to have the right edge of fun/competitive nature that I've been looking for.     Been playtesting this deck with a couple of friends for a while now since I saw vulcan and rooster we're announced. Just something I want to put together for fun if the banlist hits dragons and prophecy hard.   9. Plasma Plants

      After reading the CoreTCG article about the Destiny HERO Plasma deck that did pretty well in an OCG tournament, I couldn't help but try and adjust it to my own liking. My main problem with the OCG built is that it was specifically designed to counter the meta there (AKA Dragon Ruler, or what we used to call Elemental Dragons). Thus, some card choices didn't really make any sense unless you considered the reasoning behind it. The aim of my built is to try and expand on this deck, making it more versatile, explosive, and generally able to handle a wider variety of decks. Three monsters hit the board just from Chain dumping Dandylion from the deck. Should Dandylion already be in the graveyard, Chain can stack Debris on top of the deck, making Plasma viable next turn through Debris -> Dandy -> Ancient Fairy Dragon. Stratos is another lynchpin, being able to search Plasma when you need it via simply getting it to your hand using the spell support, CoTH, or Summoner Monk. In fact, Monk + a Spell, should it be successful and not be negated by Veiler (huge problem), makes a Plasma play viable. 14 spells should be enough to fuel Monk when you need to. Triple Compuls is decent as most decks have power plays coming from the extra deck and Compuls conveniently dodges destruction immunity. I couldn't help but put in BLS because this deck seems to be perfectly capable of bringing out a LIGHT and a DARK into the grave.   One major concern is that effect negation makes Monk very sad. Cards like Veiler, Fiendish Chain, and Breakthrough Skill will prey on Monk's rather hefty cost. Another problem I had specifically was just fitting in cards. The side deck also probably looks rather atrocious, most likely due to my ignorance into the finer intricacies of the metagame. However, in my opinion, the biggest problem is that I haven't tested this at all. With that said, I probably won't be able to test this thing until school is over, so I would greatly appreciate if anyone who tries this deck comes back with some report on how it went. Even a "This was great," or "It sucked" would do.   I'll like to give due credit to the authors of the comments below the CoreTCG article, which saved me from some amount of time having to think, as well as that person, whoever it is, who came up with this deck in the OCG in the first place.   Please leave your comments below, I will try to address them to the best of my ability, and thank you for your time.

Bamboo Shoot is very good at shutting down decks, the only problem is it getting run over or effects (hence the veilers and the chains). Safe zone'd bamboo or beast/barkion is too good, makes people rage quit all the time. Any comments/suggestions? I know naturia is not exactly tier, but I believe it can serve as a sturdy anti-meta deck once the new set comes out, and even in the format today
  11. Plants - Discussion Plants are a type with a myraid of monsters. With the introduction of Lonefire Blossom in Phantom Darkness, it was an inevitability that Plants would be a force to be reckoned with. Throughout the history of the game we've seen Gigavise, Black Garden, Quickdraw, Debris, Chaos, Junk Doppel and Tengu builds rise and fall. With the most recent banlist, Plants lost power with the limits of Debris, Librarian, Formula, Avarice, and Lonefire. But, the deck is still competitive, and this is why: Tour Guide first appeared on the scene when Jeff Jones showed us the power of searching out Sangan. Being able to grab Sangan enables you to search out nearly every monster in your deck, and those monsters will be explained below: The four Plant monsters you will see in every deck are: Arguably the best legal search card in the game' date=' Lonefire Blossom is the heart & soul of the deck. Lonefire can tribute itself off to search out Dandylion to set up other plays, or Glow-Up Bulb & Spore to setup Synchro Plays alongside any other Plant monsters you choose to run. There are also a variety of different plays that can be made if you control Dandylion/Fluff Tokens or have Foolish Burial and Summon Lonefire Blossom. Some of these require Monster Reborn, but it can be substituted by having Call of the Haunted or Limit Reverse set at the beginning of your turn. Amazing with Lonefire Blossom, best Debris Dragon target, and great Synchro/Tribute fodder in general. Without Dandylion, there is no Plant deck. Run it. An excellent Tuner' date=' makes Formula Synchron with Fluff Tokens and various other Synchro Plays. See Glow-Up Bulb, except it's uses are somewhat different. Not much to say on these that wasn't said under Lonefire Blossom, run both these tuners. From here, other cards worth running are: Even though Debris is at one, it is still a power card. It's a one card synchro you can use to turn the tide of the game, either by dropping a Black Rose Dragon to wipe the field, a Scrap Dragon to pop a monster, a Trishula to remove any problem cards your opponent may be attempting to use, etc. One of the most important cards in the deck, as this will assist you in freezing your opponent's monsters from using their effects. Being able to stop a turn 1 Tour Guide play will be huge in this format. Another card worth running in either the main or side, as this card will (or should) prevent your opponent from Special Summoning, lest they give you cards in your hand to counterattack with. Recycles your used cards, allows you more Tengus to go through, and you get to draw 2? What's not to like? Another power card that this deck has. With how easy it is to get Dandylion to your hand now, pitching Dandy to get two tokens and a tuner, you should feel confident about winning the game. Now that this card is at two, we're able to further abuse Sangan, Lonefire, Dandy, etc. These are just a few cards that you will see common amongst every variant in some way. From here, card choices will vary. Lyla, Lightsworn Sorceress Tragoedia Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter Junk Synchron Doppelwarrior Quickdraw Synchron Blackwing - Zephyros the Elite Caius the Shadow Monarch Phoenix Wing Wind Blast Scapegoat Enemy Controller Tuning etc, are all cards that can be thrown in. And now with Black Luster Soldier off the list, expect to see BLS snatching games from out of nowhere. Will Plants still be a contender next format? I believe so, but only time will tell.

I've been also thinking about scratching the ls engine for t.g. Cyber magician is a lv1 target for junk synchron also warwolf provides sick combos, not to say striker is a warrior searchable by rota recycleable by twra. Also random milling causes me some troubles when I mill my power spells. But there are some times when I really need the lv1 in grave but cant mill it. So, suggestions?

If this card is Special Summoned this way, remove it from play when it is removed from the field. While looking through OCG stuff for some new tricks for my naturia deck I ran into this. Seems like it would be pretty legit in plants. It makes it easy to get out shooting star. Dandy token + glow up makes formula and this + glow up makes stardust. Thoughts?
