  1. Trickstars Deck Discussion

    I. Monsters Trickstar Candina Light Fairy / Effect Lv4 1800/400 (1) When this card is Normal Summoned: You can add 1 “Trickstar” card from your Deck to your hand. (2) Each time your opponent activates a Spell/Trap Card, inflict 200 damage to your opponent immediately after it resolves. This is your Stratos. An obvious and simple combo is to either add Lilybell or Lycoris and use their respective special summoning effects Trickstar Lilybell Light Fairy / Effect LV2 800/2000 You can only use this card name’s (1) effect once per turn. (1) If this card is added to your hand, except by drawing it: You can Special Summon this card from your hand. (2) This card can attack directly. (3) When this card inflicts battle damage to your opponent: You can target 1 “Trickstar” monster in your Graveyard; add it to your hand. This card combos with both your Candina and Lightstage either of which will trigger the special summoning effect. Part of the reason some lists run 2 of this card is that the 3rd effect of Monster Reborning a Trickstar can come in handy to reextend your combos after you've burned a lot of resources. Ironically since there is no restriction on Lilybell triggering it's own effect if you had a normal summoned Lilybell on field or had it from a previous turn and both a Lilybell and Lycoris in grave you could attack add and trigger Lilybell attack with 2nd Lilybell add Lycoris send back one of the Lilybells ending the combo as the 1st effect is once per turn. Trickstar Lycoris Light Fairy / Effect LV3 1600/1200 (1) During either player’s turn: You can reveal this card in your hand to your opponent, then target 1 face-up “Trickstar” monster you control, except “Trickstar Lycoris”; Special Summon this card, and if you do, Return that target to the hand. (2) Each time your opponent adds a card(s) from their Deck to their hand, inflict 200 damage to them for each card. Trickstar Narkissus Level 4 LIGHT Fairy-Type Effect Monster ATK 1000 DEF 1800 You can only use this card name’s (1) effect once per turn. (1) If your opponent takes effect damage: You can Special Summon this card from your hand. (2) Each time your opponent activates a monster effect from the hand or in the GY, inflict 200 damage to your opponent. Trickstar Carobein(OCG) LIGHT / Level 5 / Fairy / Effect 2000 ATK / 1000 DEF You can only use either this card name’s (1) or (2) effect per turn, and only once that turn. (1) If you control no monsters, or all monsters you control are “Trickstar” monsters: You can Special Summon this card from your hand. (2) From the start of the Damage Step, to before damage calculation, if a “Trickstar” monster you control battles an opponent’s monster: You can send this card from your hand to the GY; that monster you control gains ATK equal to its original ATK, until the end of this turn. Trickstar Mandrake(Unreleased/OCG) Level 2 LIGHT Fairy Effect Monster ATK 0 DEF 1000 You can only use this card name’s (1) and (2) effects once per turn each. (1): If this card is sent from the hand to the GY: You can Special Summon this card in face-up Defense Position, but banish it when it leaves the field. Trickstar Red Mary(OCG) Light Fairy / Link / Effect Link 2 2000 / R BL 2 “Trickstar” monsters You can only use this card name’s (2) effect once per turn. (1) Each time a “Trickstar” monster(s) is Normal or Special Summoned to a zone this card points to, you gain 200 LP. (2) You can discard 1 “Trickstar” card; each player draws 1 card. (1) While this Link Summoned card does not point to any monsters, it is unaffected by activated effects from other cards. (2) If this card does not point to any monsters: You can inflict 200 damage to your opponent for each “Trickstar” monster in your GY with a different name. III. Spells Trickstar Lightstage Field Spell (1) When this card is activated: You can add 1 “Trickstar” monster from your Deck to your hand. (2) Once per turn: You can target 1 Set card in your opponent’s Spell & Trap Zones; while this card is in the Field Zone, that card cannot be activated until the End Phase, and during the End Phase, your opponent chooses to either activate it, or send it to the Graveyard. (3) Each time a “Trickstar” monster you control inflicts battle or effect damage to your opponent, inflict 200 damage to your opponent. IV. Traps Trickstar Reincarnation Trap Normal (1) Banish as many cards from your opponent’s hand as possible, and if they do, they draw the same amount of cards from their Deck. (2) You can banish this card from your Graveyard, then target 1 “Trickstar” monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon it. This card + Droll & Lock is literally a win condition on its own leaving your opponent with no hand if you time it correctly. You search this off of Candina which is searchable off the Lightstage which is itself searchable off of Terraforming. Meaning odds are if you draw Droll & Lock you can search Reincarnation if it's not already in hand. V. Techs and Staples A. Monsters Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring Effect Monster(Handtrap) Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by banishing 5 or more cards from your hand, field and/or Extra Deck, face-down, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. This card gains 100 ATK and DEF for each face-down banished card. This face-up card on the field cannot be Tributed, nor used as Material for a Fusion, Synchro, or Xyz Summon. Once per turn, at the start of the Damage Step, if this card battles an opponent's monster: You can banish that opponent's monster, face-down. Blackwing - Gofu the Vague Shadow Effect Monster Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must first be Special Summoned (from your hand) while you control no monsters. When this card is Special Summoned from the hand: You can Special Summon 2 "Vague Shadow Tokens" (Winged Beast-Type/DARK/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0), but they cannot be Tributed or be used as Synchro Material. You can banish this card and 1 or more face-up non-Tuners you control, then target 1 "Blackwing" Synchro Monster in your Graveyard whose Level equals the total Levels the banished monsters had on the field, Special Summon it, and if you do, it is treated as a Tuner. Droll & Lock Bird Effect Monster(Handtrap) If your opponent adds a card(s) from their Deck to their hand, except during the Draw Phase, you can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard. For the rest of this turn, neither player can add card(s) from their Deck to their hand. (Drawing cards is also considered as "adding a card to the hand".) Eater of Millions Effect Monster Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by banishing 5 or more cards from your hand, field and/or Extra Deck, face-down, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. This card gains 100 ATK and DEF for each face-down banished card. This face-up card on the field cannot be Tributed, nor used as Material for a Fusion, Synchro, or Xyz Summon. Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit Effect Monster(Handtrap) During either player's turn, when a monster on the field activates its effect, or when a Spell/Trap Card that is already face-up on the field activates its effect: You can send this card from your hand or your side of the field to the Graveyard, destroy that card on the field. You can only use this effect of "Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit" once per turn. Ghost Reaper & Winter Cherries Effect Monster(Hand Trap) During either player's turn, if your opponent controls more monsters than you do: You can discard this card, reveal 1 card in your Extra Deck, then look at your opponent's Extra Deck, also banish all cards in their Extra Deck with the same name as that revealed card. You can only use this effect of "Ghost Reaper & Winter Cherries" once per turn. Honest Effect Monster(Handtrap) During your Main Phase, you can return this card from the field to it's owner's hand. During either player's Damage Step, when a face-up LIGHT monster you control battles, you can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard to have that monster gain ATK equal to the ATK of the opponent's monster it is battling, until the End Phase. Maxx "C" Effect Monster( Handtrap) During either player's turn: You can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard, this turn, each time your opponent Special Summons a monster(s), immediately draw 1 card. You can only use 1 "Maxx "C"" per turn. Thunder King Rai-Oh Effect Monster Neither player can add cards from their Deck to their hand except by drawing them. Giant Rat can search Eater, Dust Knight can dump it. i threw in monk, tengu and kage as i already had a few lv 4s and this makes more of an engine to allow rank 4 plays easier. Lavalval Chain specifically which can dump or set up whatever i need to finish the combo.   Spells Draw Draw and more Draw, i have enough type diversity that Dichotomy is rarely dead though sometimes i consider replacing it, MST gets rid of problematic backrow or potential foils to the combo and Supply Unit is just a fantastic card for drawing especially since if i need to, eater can trigger it by popping one of my used up monsters.   Traps Reckless Draws, Backfire is key to the combo. thats all there is to it   Extra Fairly standard rank 4s to do whatever needs to be done, triple chain as it can be very useful in dumping materials or putting them on deck for next turn.   the combo works like this for those unable to understand 1. have Archfiend Eater in GY, Backfire Face-up on field and Manticore of Darkness somehow on the field (either revive it through its own eff or keep it alive for a turn) during your opponent's end phase 2. Eater pops manticore, backfire burns 500, eater revives self 3. Manticore sends eater to revive itself 4. Eater pops manticore backfire burns 500 and Eater revives 5. Repeat till game

Not really sure what route to take as far as a side goes and looking for some help with that as well. Thinking Sea Lancer might work in here but wanting opinions on it. All help is appreciated. :) (Been out of the game a little while and just getting back in. So please excuse me if I missed and obvious choice in here.)

    Doble Passe:   Normal Trap Card   "When an opponent's monster declares an attack on a face-up Attack Position monster you control: Make your opponent's attack a direct attack instead and inflict damage to your opponent equal to the ATK of the attack target you control. Also, that monster you control can attack your opponent directly during your next turn."   So I was looking around a load of the newer cards and I found this and thought it had some potential although I doubt it will see any play.   The most obvious use I see is in antimeta decks where they can sit on kycoos/dynas and other floodgates with cards like this, lance etc to basically prevent the opponent playing and dealing with your monster. It really helps with the fact they struggle to deal out any amount of lethal damage and helps protect their cards. In a soul charge meta where life points become even more of a resource this seems even more useful.   In certain decks you are really vulnerable to effect negation just shitting on your plays, madolches come to mind and having this to protect a hootcake/angelly seems like a nice follow up play to an opponents bts/veiler. Madolches can easily break fields up with trap stun + mew/hoot -> tiara plats but to deal lethal so many things have to go right for you and often you just end up poking for 4000 or so. This card + opponents soul charges make this 4000 poke much more relevant. Although I am certain madolches are not the best example for this card, as floating with chateu/ticket seems like the better play. Although with artifacts just around the corner that chateu/ticket is much more vunerable.   It has niches like stopping effects which trigger when they destroy something by battle, such as gorilla, or in a more relevant example it allows players to dodge blader, whilst dealing a hefty 2800 damage + whatever monster they have.    The card can be a bit of a double edged sword though, as most decks are/should be playing soul charge and warning. Those and this card can cause them to become dead later on and put yourself in a position where a heartland draco/ attack -> mp2 cowboy can end you. So I feel its more suited in decks that aren't going to be using as many soul charges.

    starting playing this from the ocg list with mained macros for hate.did pretty well,new list i only lose them,monster reborn and sj while other decks lose traps for my lava golem and heavy     3x lava golem 3x thunder sea horse 3x wattcobra 3x wattgiraffe 2x wattphesant 1x honest   3x pot of duality 3x swords of revealing light 2x recycling batteries   3x threatening roar 3x magic cylinders 3x zoma the spirit 3x fiendish chain 3x dark bribe 1x solemn warning  1x starlight road   extra deck not really that important 2x stardust 2x corn 2x cowboy 2x starliege 2x omega   side deck 2x scapegoats 2x mystical space tyhoon 1x dark hole 1x starlight road 3x gozen match 3x shadow-imprisoning mirror 3x maxx c   deck plays like stall watts with added burn to win faster.thunder sea horse and cobra thin out deck for monster,lava golem for removal and burn.cylinder for burn and protection. swords over messenger for monster 1000-1400 can really hurt.zoma wins games,either block if there only big monsters or end phase him,turn to attack and ramp something big for game.side for now,its still early might change. hoping for not a 3 mst and 3 lance format,but for now cylinder is just way better then dimension wall,but wall is in the back of my mind   random techs im thinking about. flying c. let them summon there 2nd,play it.stops boss monsters and sets up lava faster.spell shield type,way random and prolly wont have room,but its a free negate a lance,book ect ect.   let me know what you and any fixes welcomed thanks    
  6. Chain Burn v1.0

    Hey guys, I've basically decided to use Chain Burn originally on DN as it has great G1 potentional and works surprisingly well against the top 3, added with the fact I'm a poor mofo. Now, I've tested the main over and over and believe it is as solid as it can be, but am open to any suggestions.   My issues is with the side deck, now getting EEV'ed sucks tremendously as you can probably figure out, so I'm not sure in what direction to take the side.
