  1. Dark Link

    The idea of this deck stemmed from the interaction of darkwurm and destrudo. They are both dragons so they can be sent with ravine and dragon shrine. This allows you to make level 7 synchros without using your normal summon and this combo is accessible in most starting hands. The main level 7 synchros you make are ancient fairy dragon and meteorburst. ancient fairy allows you to trade your dragon's ravine for waterfront if you have additional combos while meteorburst allows you to make galaxy tomahawk for a mostly complete combo by itself. Going first the gameplan is to start link summoning with either galaxy tomahawk or level eater combos with destrudo/malicious. Then waterfront searches you gameciel which you special summon from your hand with the firewall. Then you continue the combo as much as you can with level eater and bouncing gameciel for more level eaters to end with 3 firewalls + borreload + gameciel. 3 malicious, level eater, darkwurm, and destrudo - all cards you want to draw and discard with ravine and grepher (besides darkwurm with grepher) 2 armageddon and grepher + rota - These all get you more combo pieces into the grave to start your combos 2 wyverburster 1 collapserpent - combo extenders but they only give you 2 summons and can't be level ate so might get cut for something else 1 gameciel 1 supreme king gate - engine requirements 3 allure - more consistency 3 ravine - starts dragon combos and discards the 4 dark starters 2 dragon shrine - sends the dragons (obv) foolish - nuts 2 waterfront - not sure on the ratio for this because its not a starter and is very searchable but your deck just summons firewall and isn't as fair without it one for one - discard fodder / finds level eater set rotation / terraforming - more ravine and waterfront maybes : >pot of desires - don't want to banish malicious but not 100% sure >hand traps - they make it so you can't combo cause you need all of your cards when going first >more kaijus + slumber - same as hand traps but slumber can be a starter if you go first weaknesses: obviously this deck wants to go first and the side deck is for when you go second (and you have blackrose dragon) but losing the roll can suck sometimes. everyone is playing excessive amounts of hand traps atm so that sucks as well. this might not be the best meta call right now but if could be a thing in the future and just wanted to get the concept out there. tomahawk combo: -send both darkwurm and destrudo to grave -ss darkwurm add gate -ss destrudo -activate gate in scale -ss meteorburst and ss gate -ss galaxy tomahawk and use eff to summon 5 tokens -activate waterfront >>from this point you can either go directly into firewall if you have other combos otherwise..... -proxy with token and galaxy tomahawk -gaia with proxy + token -firewall with gaia + token -waterfront 3 counters search gameciel -link spider below firewall -proxy with token and link spider -ss gameciel with firewall if you have almost anything else with this combo you can end with way more. just a level eater extends the combo so much and you can just normal summon it IDK WHY I'M NOT PLAYING SOUL CHARGE DEFINITELY ADD THAT

Send 3 Arcbrave Dragon to grave. Then break the loop with any field you like.   Next turn during your opponent's standby phase, those 3 Arcbrave Dragon activate, summon a massive field, which may include Amorphage Irritum.   If I am not mistaken, Arcbrave's standby phase effect resolves in different chains (like GB), now you summon 3 Leyvaten equipping 3 Arcbrave Dragon. If they punch through the Leyvaten you revive it next turn, and if they don't, you make a R8 yourself.   Good luck fighting against all these nonsense fields.

To really understand what the point of this shit is it probably makes sense to explain how it even came to fruition in the first place. It starts with me looking through random shit on Dueling Network as I do from time to time, on a lot of facets of the internet, and I'm brainstorming shit for new format. I come across a card called Secret Sanctuary of the Spellcasters which I think is good but due to me forgetting a technical Problem Solving Card Text thing, it ends up being awful, then I find a card called Cyber Eltanin (okay I actually found the Cyber card several days before the Sanctuary card but I just felt like shoehorning that in somehow.) It particularly caught my attention because its effect on summon of sending all other monsters on the field to the graveyard got around the Kozmo Forerunner card and the Kozmo Dark Destroyer card. It also would be able to deal with any Infernoid field barring one including Devyaty. Both of these were, from my analysis of the hype, appearing to be along with pendulum variants, what were going to be shaping the beginning of the new format. So, being that this card should give me a significant edge against both of those decks, along with the Cyber cards I had previously already had in the back of my mind from understanding that Cyber Dragon are essentially the strongest counter to Kozmo there is (Core being able to get Repair Plant which could get to Eltanin as well,) I began to make a deck.   Now, the first thing I had to figure out was how I was going to get Cyber Dragon in the graveyard to use Cyber Repair Plant. Unfortunately Construct was banned because a Shaddoll route would seem quite appealing as well. I realized quickly there were basically only three not-shitty ways, then, to get it into the Graveyard, after reading all the relating cards. The first was Machina Fortress, the other was Fusion Summoning into FTKs that date back to the second Yu-Gi-Oh! Anime, and Galaxy Soldier. Machine Fortress has been outpower-creep'd by a few years (the new Megaform card didn't do it any justice either,) the Fusion cards take too many combo pieces to be consistent especially when you consider that another combo piece against backrow decks has to be something to even deal with the backrow in the first place, so what you're left with is Galaxy Soldier, a Light, Level 5 Machine. Naturally the next move was looking through Galaxy cards. Don't bother, they all are shit except for Galaxy Soldier, Galaxy Wizard, Accellight, and Galaxy Expedition. Oh, and Galaxy Cyclone if you count that too. Anyways, Galaxy Soldier, Galaxy Wizard, and Accellight were appealing because they formed their own 9 card engine which would basically be 9 copies of Galaxy Soldier but would also land a level four in the Graveyard for Instant Fusion. Past that, let's talk about the card Galaxy Soldier. Once again, it's a Light Level 5 Machine, so naturally it works with both Cyber Dragon Nova and Constellar Pleiades, Galaxy Wizard being able to add any Galaxy "Card" means it can get to Expedition and since Soldier gets to Wizard it means it also gets to Expedition which then summons another Soldier to make for an easy 2-card Rank 5, or 1-card depending on how you look at it. The other thing I looked into were Photon cards because both Expedition and Accellight also could interact with them, they were all garbage as well, unfortunately.   So, between the Galaxy cards and the Cyber Dragon cards now, I began to complete the first rendition of the deck. What I knew that it was lacking though, was a few things. First, some actual arbitrary out to S/Ts if it's found that I do in fact need that to win (if it has a positive effect on my win rate that is.) Second, I have nothing to do going first. Third, I have no defense. The answer to the first question originally was a copy of Galaxy Cyclone. I figured via being searchable by Galaxy Wizard, that card plus the ability to push monsters into backrow would be sound theoretically. The answer to the second and third questions, originally, was the same. Speedroids. A Level three that searched a Level 4 and a Level 4 that blocked attacks so that if I went first I would not get ransacked. The last issue was the Cyber Dragon cards themselves. For Cyber Repair Plant to Resolve, I needed Cyber Dragon in my graveyard, but I only had 6 of them, and all the other Cyber Dragon variants were terrible, which was an issue because the Repair Plant card was central to my strategy especially if it meant I could get Eltanin on-demand. The answer to this as inspired by a card Victor mentioned in some other post was a card called Fusion Conscription, which just searched the card out. It didn't really matter that I couldn't summon it that turn afterwards because I would likely be discarding it anyway, or in the case of the original deck, additionally, could be fusing it (I had been using 3 Power Bonds.) Well, all the pieces fit together at least, then I realized eventually some of the theoretical problems with my original pools of thought.   First, despite the Level 4 Speedroid being a Machine Duplication target, both those cards have some issues. The issue with the Level 3 is it just doesn't do anything past the point of searching the 4 and then just lingers on field which can conflict with a Cyber Dragon that you want to Special Summon. The other issue is the Kozmos still being able to have a battle phase past the aforementioned pseudo-Battle Fader's effect due to them Banishing off their Level 4s-and-unders for higher level monsters from their hand. Other issue that I noted earlier that became apparent to me was Fusion Summoning sucked. The last minor thing to address that I realized was that Cyber Eltanin ought to be a 1 of because it's a 7-of when I need it and a 1-of that I can discard when I don't, and it turns out that even though you need it often, you never want to draw it when you don't need it and therefore want to minimize that possibility. Anyway, being that the Speedroid cards failed to answer the problems posed earlier properly, I was now left with a large amount of space in my deck and not really sure the best way to utilize it. Then, I realized that Artifacts just solved all of my problems, especially those of match-ups outside of favorable ones, and more.   First, the Artifact cards answered the "what to do going first" question. You can set them and also make a Rank 5 without just having a shitty lone Rank 5 out there. Second, they also let you blind second but not have a bad deck going first and the reason why is because Galaxy Soldier can discard Artifacts, and because of Artifact Ignition (which dictated I could drop Galaxy Cyclone.) This meant in general that dead drawing them wouldn't be an issue, especially between that and Durendal, so you effectively have maximized the chances of them being good while minimizing the chances of them being bad. Next, they were Level 5's. Light, Level 5's. So, they naturally work really well with the Cyber Dragon and Galaxy cards even though they can't get out Cyber Dragon Nova (it doesn't really matter though because you rarely summon Cyber Dragon Nova anyway.) The last thing it did was improve your match-up against other decks that you didn't necessarily have as good a match-up against previously. Against Infernoid you had Artifact Lancea, against Burning Abyss you had Artifact Scythe, and against pendulum decks in general, Artifact Moralltach and Artifact Ignition would be a strong method of combatting them. Being that I still haven't found any other better alternative, of the known strategies, this was then, comparatively the best to work with these cards. Thus, Cyber Artifact Galaxy was born.    On logistics, specifically of the extra deck because the Main should just be really obvious from that sort of framing as most deck-building is when you look at it from a macro-scale and create these sorts of paradigms, this falls into place as well. Basically the only thing that isn't there right now, other than Number 106: Giant Hand, that I was considering putting in, was Zenmaioh and it was basically either that or Tiras. Zenmaioh is just going to basically never resolved to the the specific Traps, or lackthereof, people are using, but Tiras could reasonably work when going into backrow. On Giant Hand, Ptolemus just sort of trumps it, especially with Nekroz and the corresponding Manjus and Senjus fading out of the picture. Last note, the only issue theoretically I think I can spot is that the logic for 9 copies of Cyber Dragon supporting Cyber Repair Plant isn't a constant for the 6 targets for Machine Duplication (3 Cyber Repair Plant and 3 Cyber Dragon Core.) I really did try to look for other good Machine Duplication targets for this deck but they all suck for one reason or another, including Cyber Valley. Plus, in general I'd put Cyber Repair Plant resolving over the decent drop-off of Machine Duplication's consistency. It's still going to resolve for the most part though, and worst case, setting it for Durendal is almost always an option.   The only adventure left really, for this then, is the Side Deck, which I'm sure at some point I'll talk about in this thread. Notes - No Redox, Originally i had room for him, but this deck is just so packed i had to pull him out, in other decks like mythics he is a must but idk about him in this one, i constantly found myself opening 2 rulers sometimes, and i wanted to cut that down too -BLS is easy to get out with dragard+Garzett in the deck, and well worth it - Garzett is a free 95 with eset, and with tefnuit with your opponent controlling a monster, he also does piercing, so with 2 dark matters and a red eyes on the field dumping them all for garzett to your opponents lone face down monster is easy game without woring about fire hands or sumoning from deck ect... - tefnuit into dragard is also a dark matter combo - the question still has to be asked... why is convocation still at 2.. - 3 shrines is too much for this deck, especially with dark matters effect - 2 ashes simply because free ruler summons is nice and destroying them with trident is always fun, and if the otk fails it helps set up for the grind game with rulers - Crimson Blader is there simply because he can shut down so many decks, especially the mirror if he can get over your opponents monster - only 2 dark matters because 3 is overkill, 6 banished monsters is enough i think and by the time you have summoned the 2 you should have game, or close enough to not need the 3rd

Cyber Dragon Infinity and Chimeratech Rampage Dragon   Infinity is 101 + Once per Turn Negation which is awesome on its own, add the 200 ATK for each material and the fact that it overlays onto cyber dragon nova (which can easily come out in the deck) then you get scary.   Rampage dragon is 2x (or more) Cyber Dragon monsters. and it pops backrow equal to the number of fusion material monsters. not to mention you can double foolish burial once per turn, and if you do it gets an additional attack for each monster you milled, leading potentially to 3 attacks with 4200 ATK. (or 2100 if you went with Overload Fusion)   Cydra/Wind Jammer make rank 5s easier, so does soldier. the Chronomaly engine i've been testing out and more than 1-2 can brick fairly easily, disk can search jet or recycle itself and jet makes rank 5s easily. turtle is just a useful monster that happens to be Light/Machine and Honest is Honest   the Spells are all about drawing, thinning, and destroying to get the combo pieces and bring out the big beatsticks.   The extra is what i need to do all my shit with. i rarely summon Cyber End but when i do its funny and it can be a surprise card against rogue/noob decks that think they can sit behind Marshmallon or w/e all day. Cyber Twin, Nova, Infinity and Rampage are the ones that come out most. Overdragon is a last resort kinda thing.   Well?   also fun fact. i OTKed on devpro in a Tag match (AKA both teams have 16k) it involved power bonded cyber twin with Honest and Limiter Removal reaching 15000ish ATK.

I've been testing different builds and discussed things with the certain people. Basically this deck can spam out monsters.   Core, Drei, Zwei all count as "Cyber Dragon" in the grave and on the field (With Zwei you got to reveal a spell card to gain that effect). Core searches out Repair Plant/Network. If its in the grave and you have no monsters but your opp does you can banish it to special summon a Cyber Dragon from your deck to your hand. So it basically sets you up for plays with Instant Fusion, Drei, Power Bond, etc. Also you can use Machine Dup with it and special summon up to 2 Cyber Dragons from your deck. You can make an easy Nova with it, also you can banish that Core to boost your Nova's attack +2100. Drei can boost up all the "Cyber Dragon" monsters to Level 5 to spam out Nova or other monsters. You don't really use its banish effect much. Zwei is the one i hate the most but is a decent beater if needed. Valleys are part of my draw engine and can be used with Machine Dup. Eltanin can be searched along with others by Repair Plant and can act like a dark hole and as a monster. You get monsters in the grave somewhat decently/mostly. It also sets up your Return/Network plays. Honest is there for more protection.    I've been wanting to use Trap stuns but they've been lackluster for me in testing (you can use them if you prefer them over MST) but i use 3 MSTs to get rid of back row/etc. Instant Fusion: Cyber Saurus + Cyber Dragon/Drei/Solar Wind Jammer = Instant Nova. Machine Dup is obv and Repair Plant is a ROTA for your machine monsters. Power Bond is the card to go for game with. Bring out Cyber Twin or Cyber End depending on your scenario. Foolish to dump Core/shit. Limiter is also there for the kill and because you can run it.    Cyber Network is iffy, but the fact that it acts like a free return is beneficial. Raigeki Break to get through them back rows or monsters. You can dump like Zwei, dead Dups and shit. Mirror Force is up to you, it has saved me a lot when drawing awkward hands. Return/Sixth is no question.    3 Nova is staple, i've debated on 2-3 Fortress but figured i wouldn't hit too many mirrors so i just stood with 2. 2 of each Cyber fusions is good enough. Same with Saurus. Everything else is up to you/debatable. This isn't the final version but like it's a start so if someone wants to mess with this or start somewhere you can start out with this.
  7. Photon Galaxy Deck

    So this format is pretty boring now and I've been itching to test some decks that can make Divine Dragon Knight Felgrand with some ease and sit on backrow. Basically the deck's goal is to make Felgrand and/or Coach Lord then sit on them with back row to win the game. I like this deck a lot and its really fun. The trap line up is basic to try to protect your monsters/yourself.I'll go over how the deck works and plays/combos so you understand it better.   Monsters: 15 3 Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon 3 Photon Thrasher 3 Galaxy Wizard 3 Photon Crusher 2 Galaxy Knight 1 Honest   Spells: 16 3 Galaxy Expedition 3 Accellight 3 Upstart Goblins 2 Galaxy Zero 2 Forbidden Lance 2 Rank-Up-Magic Barian's Force 1 Reinforcement of the Army   Traps: 9 2 Dimensional Prison 2 Mirror Force 1 Compulsory Evacuation Device 1 Bottomless Trap Hole 1 Solemn Warning 1 Torrential Tribute 1 Sixth Sense   Extra: 15 3 Divine Dragon Knight Felgrand 2 CXyz Coach Lord Ultimatrainer 1 Hieratic Sun Dragon Overlord of Heliopolis 1 Number 107: Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon 1 Neo Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon 2 Starliege Lord Galaxion 1 Starliege Paladynamo 1 Constellar Omega 1 Lavalval Chain 1 Queen Dragun Djinn 1 Heroic Champion - Excalibur This card:   is really good because it can protect itself from traps/spells/monster effects and even evade Swift Scarecrow. This deck can pump out 1-2 easily, 3rd if wanting.  Essentially all you really need is 2 cards for this combo: [spoiler]  AND  Summon Galaxy Wizard then use its effect to boost itself +4 levels making it Level 8. Then Activate Galaxy Expedition to special summon Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon (Preferably) or Galaxy Knight (if needed). You would then have 2 Level 8 monsters on the field then you can overlay them for Divine Dragon Knight Felgrand. I've added a couple of lances and some traps to help protect it because that card +traps is really strong in this meta/current game.  Galaxy Wizard can combo with other cards like Galaxy Zero and Galaxy Knight. With Galaxy Zero if you have Galaxy-Eyes or Knight in your graveyard you can bring 1 of them back with that card then summon Wizard, boost up level then overlay for Rank 8. With Galaxy Knight if you have Wizard on the field you can boost its effect to raise itself to Level 8 to try to bait out something. If okay, you can use Galaxy Knight's effect to normal summon itself from the hand then use its effect to special summon a Galaxy-Eyes from grave in face-up Defense. You can overlay 2 of the monsters to make a Rank 8 or all 3 to make a Neo Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon.   I totally forgot about this card: Basically if you draw this or Wizard with Expedition in hand it's an instant Knight Felgrand on the board. [/spoiler] Another play/combo this deck has is: [spoiler]  +  =  You'll most likely draw into either monster and you have ROTA to help search either as well. Basically you'll special summon Thrasher then normal summon Crusher then overlay for Lord Galaxion. You can use his effect to either special summon 1 Galaxy-Eyes from your hand or deck depending how many you XYZ materials you detach for its effect. If you have a Galaxy-Eyes in hand you can special summon it from there though only if you have Galaxy Expedition in your hand so you can make a Felgrand or other Rank 8s but Felgrand can protect itself from card effects and has high attack. You can do the same play if you have Galaxy-Eyes in your deck to thin it out a little and use Galaxy Expedition, etcetc. You have other options with Rank 4s like Paladynamo to get rid of an Ophion, Constellar Omega to sit on your traps and protect itself from spells/traps, Dragun Djinn to special summon a Galaxy-Eyes from the Grave then you can use Galaxy Expedition to do the wumbo combo for a Felgrand etcetc. Lavalval Chain you can do if you're that desperate to make a Expedition/Zero play live though its not needed since Lord Galaxion is a card. You can use it with another play/combo i'll explain in a bit. [/spoiler] Neat Idea for this deck: [spoiler]  +  =  Remember you can only use this on Felgrand because of Barian's restrictions. Coach Lord Ultimatrainer is really a beast. Not only does it have 3800 attack but it cannot be targeted by card effects like Dracossack, Big Eye, Blaster, Compulsory Evacuation Device, PWWB, Raigeki Break, Ryko, etc. Also it has another effect which is nifty, if it has an XYZ monster as a material you can detach a material to draw 1 card, then reveal it. If it was a monster you inflict 800 damage to your opponent. So you draw a free card in a sense and can also inflict damage to your opponent as well.  [/spoiler] I run Upstart Goblin so i can draw into Accel/Wizard/Expedition faster or ROTA/Thraster/Crusher/Expedition. You can run the deck -2 Rank-Up/-2 Coach Lord, +2 MST or Other Traps/+1 Helio or +2 Rank 4s. I originally had this deck running 2 Monk/1 Rose Warrior/2 Trade-In/3 PWWB/1 Spark Dragon but i felt this route was more effective. Not saying the deck is Tier 0 but it's been fun making an easy Felgrand and just sitting on it. I know some people have been seeing me play this in rated lol.

It utilizes large dark dragon monsters to bait out monster destruction like Bottomless Trap Hole who are then tributed off for the effects of DDV or EEV to cause damage to the opponent. DDV can kill most hand traps and pick apart some decks on its own while EEV allows you to blow up backrow or cards in the hand. In addition both cards allow you to see your opponents hand and play around it. This is done through obviously Darkness Metal Dragon but also Malefic Stardust who is an easily summoned 2500 beater that protects Dragon Ravine which is used to toolbox Dragons into the grave. LaDD is teched in to provide some control and recursion and the deck also try to make Synchro Monsters such as RDA. The idea of a viral dragon deck isn't new but the name 'Pandemic Dragon' itself has become synonymous with this type of build (even nabbing a spot on the wikia and several imitators) however I'll be the first to admit that this has not aged completely well. I've been trying to find ways to help this deck keep up with the game as while it worked amazing back when people would summon TK and set 4 backrow the speed has changed immensely since 2010 when I first made the deck (and Plants aren't really meta anymore which this thing had a fantastic matchup against). I'm hoping that with Ignition Priority gone Yu-Gi-Oh! will slow down enough for this deck to do what it likes and punish people from trying to Bottomless Darkness Metal Dragon. I have considered working in Call of the Haunted or overhauling the deck into a more Chaos Dragon style of play. Considering this started as a Dark Horus + Infernal Dragon deck it's not the worst thing I've done.
  18. Hieratic Overdrive

    I know we don't have Gustaph Cannon MAXX yet; and truth be told this deck is pretty nuts already. A huge problem i noticed right off the bat is Effect Veiler. It ruined many OTK attempts too much for me to overlook. I was surprised to hear that Hieratics actually perform decently in OCG (i don't keep up with a lot of oversees top tiers) despite almost every deck using triple Effect Veiler. So after a brainstorm i had a few ideas with amazing results. No Effect Veiler's yet. Yes, i will probably add them, once i find more anyway. My "answer" to Effect Veiler is Swing of Memories. It may not seem like much, because i didn't think much of it at first either. To stop the tug-of-war battle between my left and right brains, i tested them, and am very happy with the results. Obviously, the target is Wattaildragon or Luster Dragon #2. Normally an Effect Veiler to counter Atum is a turn-ending play. The monster Summoned off Swing of Memories lets me continue my turn; i usually won't be able to OTK my opponent, but summoning Photon Streak Bounzer puts some serious pressure on my opponent (I can OTK with the right cards though; with more copies of Swing of Memories, other Hieratics, Monster Gate, or Monster Reborn, which i can usually draw off of Reckless Greed or Pot of Duality). My opponents only answer will usually be Dark Hole (assuming they don't have any traps; i do use 3 MST, Heavy Storm, and 3 Su's so...yeah..he should be safe). To top it off, it becomes a fantastic topdeck later because my opponent will probably be weak from my previous plays from earlier, and making another Atum is a great comeback if a 2500 T'wattaildragon isn't enough. Also without Gustaph Cannon MAXX, OTK'ing is a little harder to do for now. Swing of Memories is adds that extra oomph to do so. Another card i'm using is a pair of Draconnection. I have mixed feelings on using 2, but i know that 1 works like a charm. Multiple Tefnuit's, Nebthet's, and Normal monsters in your hand can be swapped out for a monster you can actually make plays in. It is a -1, but it can be useful to start making plays and possibly kill your opponent. It has made many plays possible in otherwise dead hands. Normally, Draconnection is difficult to use, and the result is not worth it. However, it is proving to be very valuable in Hieratics. The last test card is Monster Gate. Basically, it acts as a Hieratic monster; that's the simplest way to put it (unless i SS Gorz off it...). If i add Effect Veiler i might remove it if it proves to be inconsistent, but right now, every monster in my deck besides Gorz is a good hit. Every monster. So i see no reason not to play this card.
