1. Make Fire King Great Again

So there's a regional coming up and this is the best deck i can come up with rn but i think it needs work (plan to build BA down the line) Note: Extra Deck is choppy due to lack of decent cards beyond a set of Tiger King 3x Fire King High Avatar Garunix 3x Fire King Avatar Barong 3x Fire King Avatar Arvata 2x Fire King Avatar Yaksha 3x Coach Soldier Wolfberk 1x Sacred Phoenix of Nephythys 3x True King Agnimazud the Vanisher 3x Onslaught of the Fire Kings 3x Circle of the Fire Kings 1x Rekindling 2x Twin Twisters 3x Fire Formation Tenki 1x Dark Hole 3x Solemn Strike 2x Fiendish Chain 1x Torrential Tribute 2x Storming Mirror Force 1x Call of the Haunted 1x Gem Knight Pearl 1x Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon 3x Brotherhood of the Fire Fist Tiger King 1x Bujintei Kagutsuchi Side: IDK what to put in here, usual matchups recently have been Spyrals and True King variants but last time i was at regionals i saw merlanteans and performapal so idk what to prepare for i have Ghost Reaper, Maxx C, Grand horn of Heaven, Dimensional Barrier, and some other Staples i could potentially throw in (any suggestions are welcome, though budget preferred. no Ash blossom sorry) Extra Alternatives: i have some random Links like decode talker sitting around but idk if they would help at all (Little Chimaera link when?) i could also pick up some more rank 4s if you think theyd help Main Alternatives: can chop and change to specifications as long as the cards are budget/owned by me already. i do have some Fire fist bear and gorilla but i took them out when rebuilding the deck due to space and not being nessecary imo Concerns: some of the traps might be a bit too slow like chain and CoTH (which is mostly filler), iffy on the fire King avatar monsters, not sure if i need 3 arvata or any yaksha at all. could main a few hand traps like veiler if it would help more Main thing i'm looking for is (prefaribly budget) improvements to the main and card choices for the extra and side i can pick up.

4. Whats up DGZ? For the last few days I've been working on a new Gladiator Beast deck. When I scrolled through my DN looking for a base, I found my old Fire Gladiator deck. It has considerably changed since March 2013 Format or how ever long ago it was. I initially wanted to build GladTrix but they aren't aggressive enough for my taste, as opposed to this; extremely control and advantaged based, but it absolutely steamrolls everything else in raw advantage. Want to add 1-2 Fire Formation - Tensen to the main, if anyone can help me fit I'd appreciate it.     Main Deck: 40 Monsters: 15 3 Coach Soldier Wolfbark 3 Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Bear 1 Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Gorilla  2 Gladiator Beast Laquari 2 Gladiator Beast Darius 2 Gladiator Beast Equeste 1 Gladiator Beast Murmillo 1 Gladiator Beast Bestiari   Spells: 12 3 Mystical Space Typhoon 3 Forbidden Lance 3 Fire Formation - Tenki 2 Fire Formation - Gyokkou 1 Fire Formation - Tensu   Traps: 13 3 Gladiator Beast War Chariot 3 Black Horn of Heaven 2 Dust Tornado 2 Seven Tools of the Bandit 1 Compulsory Evacuation Device 1 Solemn Warning 1 Bottomless Trap Hole   Side Deck: 15 3 Rainbow Kuriboh 1 Cyber Dragon 1 Chimeratech Fortress Dragon 2 Light-Imprisoning Mirror 2 Shadow-Imprisoning Mirror 2 Dna Surgery 2 Mistake 1 Soul Drain 1 The Transmigration Prophecy   Extra Deck: 15 3 Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Tiger King 1 Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Cardinal 1 Number 101: Silent Honor ARK 1 Evilswarm Exciton Knight 1 Number 50: Blackship of Corn 1 Maestroke the Symphony Djinn 1 Gagaga Cowboy 1 Lightning Chidori 1 Ice Beast Zerofyne 2 Gladiator Beast Gyzarus 1 Gladiator Beast Heraklinos 1 Gladiator Beast Essedarii   Both the Fire Fist and the GB engines have amazing main and Extra deck support all around and both have so much synergy together. The way they fit together is obvious, so I'll explain the things that aren't as obvious. -3 Black Horn of Heaven Stops all those Synchro and Xyz plays. Picks up the workload before War Chariot has to.   -2 Dust Tornado Fire Fist and Spellbooks. The two most important matchups right now. Hits them both. Very good main deck choice. Hits pesky generic backrows and floodgates like Skill Drain and Mistake.   -2 Seven Tools of the Bandit Stops my opponents stuff chain-ables, mostly floodgates and stuff like Geargiagear & Abyss-sphere. Good cards are good and put in a ton of work.
5. Delicious Cooked Animals

3 T.G. Rush Rhino 3 T.G. Warwolf 3 Hazy Flame Cerbereus 2 T.G. Striker 2 Fencing Fire Ferret 1 Beast King Barbaros 1 Thunder King Rai-Oh 2 Pot of Duality 2 Onslaught of the Fire Kings 2 Mystical Space Typhoon 1 Dark Hole 3 Skill Drain 3 Horn of the Phantom Beast 2 TG1-EM1 2 Vanity's Emptiness 2 Mirror Force 2 Call of the Haunted 1 Bottomless Trap Hole 1 Solemn Warning 1 Torrential Tribute 1 Compulsory Evacuation Device 1 TG Wonder Magician 1 TG Power Gladiator 1 AOJ Catastor 1 Naturia Barkion 1 HTS Psyhemuth 1 Stardust Dragon/Stardust Spark Dragon 1 Scrap Dragon 1 Number 49 Fortune Tune 1 Diamond Dire Wolf 1 Gagaga Cowboy 1 Maestroke the Symphony Djinn 1 Abyss Dweller 1 Number 85: Crazy Box 1 Number 101: SHArk Knight 1 Photon Strike Bounzer So basically this is a TG deck with a bit of extra FIRE Beast support tossed in.   Hazy Flame Cerbereus is essentially a cross between a mini-Barbaros and a TG monster, while also making it easier to drop Level 8 Synchros. Meanwhile, Fencing Fire Ferret is a fairly bulky Beast, while also having a neat bomb effect that dodges Skill Drain. Because of the addition of these guys, I've forgone the tactic of maxing out Tenki, instead opting for Onslaught of the Fire Kings to give the deck a bit of extra speed while also triggering the effect of Cerbereus or Ferret. It's nice to use in tandem with either Warwolf or Striker, making it easy to build up a field or jump into a Synchro. There are also some cards I'm considering testing in the deck to see how it goes. - Flamvell Firedog and Flame Tiger were handy additions to earlier versions of T.G., letting the deck make more aggressive plays if necessary. They could be useful to add in here now, seeing as they mesh well with Onslaught/Fire Ferret/Cerbereus, but it could come at the cost of necessary room for backrow. - Closed Forest is a card I really want to try, or at least to side. It becomes more viable when Rhino is joined by the FIRE suite, and it's a useful way to lock out a lot of decks that have become more field-reliant like Harpies, Madolche, or decks that have yet to make a big splash recently like GKs or even Ghostricks. I'm not sure if the added bonus of speed and power to the deck is necessarily better than the increased consistency this deck can find in triplicate Tenki and Duality, but this certainly seems like it's worth a shot.
6. Fire Spellcaster XYZ.DEK

Monsters 25: 3x Star Drawing 3x Inari Fire 2x Summoner Monk 2x Photon Thrasher 3x Breaker the Magical Warrior 3x Lyla, Lightsworn Sorceress 1x BLS 3x Flamvell Firedog 2x Flamvell Magician 2x The Tricky 1x Blackwing-Zephyros the Elite   Spells 11: 1x Monster Reborn 1x Dark Hole 1x Heavy Storm 1x Pot of Avarice 1x Charge of the Light Brigade 2x MST 2x Forbidden Lance 2x Rekindling   Traps 6: 3x Call of the Haunted 2x Torrential Tribute 1x Solemn Judgment   The extra is basic and the side isn't prepared yet so ignore the side for now.   So I saw a deck on shriek from the ocg and it looked like fun but I changed up a fair amount of the deck to make room for better cards, the deck played 3 of both the tricky and quickdraw synchron which I found to be more problematic then helpful in testing.  However, adding cards like flamvell firedog and lance really boosted the deck's capabilities.  This deck may not be worth trying to make competitive but it has been pretty good in testing and I want to know what advice you guys have on making the deck better.  If you don't think the deck can be good enough, just kindly explain why rather than insulting me lol.
7. Fire King & PWWB vs. Raigeki Break

Here's a Fire King build I just recently made. I'm still working on the finalization before i actually play it but tell me what you think and give me suggestions:   Monsters 14   2x Card Trooper 3x Fire King Avatar Barong 3x Fire King High Avatar Garunix 3x Flamvell Firedog 3x Hazy Flame Cerbereus   Spells 17   1x Book of Moon 3x Circle of the Fire KIngs 1x Dark Hole 2x Forbidden Lance 1x Heavy Storm 1x Monster Reborn 3x Mystical Space Typhoon 3x Onslaught of the Fire Kings 2x Rekindling   Traps 9   2x Call of the Haunted 2x Fiendish Chain 2x Raigeki Break 1x Solemn Judgment 2x Torrential Tribute   Side: The only cards I'm sure on that I'm siding are: 2x Dust tornado 2x Bottomless Trap Hole maybe 1x mirror force Help me with the rest of the sides please ;)   Also i wanted to discuss which was better PWWB or Raigeki break. Since they both have the same cost and practically do the same thing one would figure it wouldn't really matter. However, PWWB limits you to your opponent's side of the field but it could get around things like zenmaines, maestroke,  stardust, etc. On the other hand, Raigeki break destroys, which would be a problem for some cards, but could also be used in certain situations on your own side of the field like say on a garunix to clear the field for next turn. I can't decide which to play so help me out please.   thanks for your time :)
8. Fire Drain

Monsters: 13 3 Beast King Barbaros 3 Fire King Avatar Barong 2 Enthusiastic Beastman Wolfberk 2 Fire King High Avatar Garunix 1 Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Bear 1 Fire King Avatar Yaksha 1 Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys Spells: 12 3 Fire Formation - Tenki 3 Onslaught of the Fire Kings 2 Fire Kings' Fire Ring 1 Dark Hole 1 Heavy Storm 1 Monster Reborn 1 Rekindling Traps: 15 3 Fire Formation - Tenken 3 Skill Drain 2 Bottomless Trap Hole 2 Call of the Haunted 2 Torrential Tribute 1 Safe Zone 1 Solemn Judgment 1 Starlight Road The idea behind this deck is pretty straight-forward (I think), but I'll explain a couple of aspects of this deck I find important: "Doesn't Skill Drain conflict with Fire King High Avatar Garunix and Enthusiastic Beastman Wolfberk?" Slightly, but there are two things to keep in mind. Fire King High Avatar Garunix will still activate his effect when destroy to special summon himself from the graveyard, regardless of if Skill Drain is face-up on the field or not. Although it negates the monster destroying effect, I don't believe this to be that important, as their monsters might as well already be destroyed if I have Skill Drain face-up. I can simply not summon Wolfberk while I control Skill Drain. Chances are I probably won't need to summon Wolfberk under Skill Drain. "Why do you run triple Fire Formation - Tenken? Isn't that a bit much?" Barbaros is obviously a fucking beast (warrior) under Skill Drain, but his synergy with Fire Formation - Tenken is pretty incredible. It gives me incredible resistance to follow-up plays made by opponent, where they think their effect monster will be able to out the beaststick I am protecting, but end up putting themselves in an awkward position. "Why do you even run Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys and only one Yaksha? What the fuck man?" The thing I've found with Yaksha is that it's REALLY only useful when I draw my Phoenix/Garunix. Otherwise, it doesn't really serve a great deal of purpose over Barong. Barong enables me to keep forcing my Garunix/Phoenix through Fire Ring searches... or Onslaught if it's needed. However, because of the case where I DO draw into Phoenix/Garunix, Yaksha is needed (on demand mostly with Tenki) to unclog it. Phoenix is for the overzealous assholes that think they can just set four backrow just because I set two. It's also my best way of getting around annoying lingering S/T, such as field spells. I'm not against wiping my side of the field if I net overall advantage from it. Phoenix is also very good against slow decks like Hero and Rabbit, as destroying their walls of backrow shifts the tempo to my advantage (Starlight Road will only delay my Phoenix's effect for two turns). Phoenix basically enables me to expand my main deck options depending on what my opponent is playing. Side Deck Strategy - What am I going for with this?: I'm honestly not 100% on my side deck yet, but I think I'm going to side into a sort of 'protect the giant beaststick' games 2 and 3 against many matchups, mostly to combat whatever removal my opponent decides to side. Staring down a Safe Zone'd Garunix is pretty fucking scary. Yes, my opponent will probably side in a bunch of S/T hate, but Safe Zone forces them into a dichotomy of destroying Safe Zone or Skill Drain with their MSTs and Dust Tornados. I don't like siding S/T removal, as I feel it makes my overall board presence much weaker. Instead, I prefer to play around it. I might even side another Fire Ring for this purpose, or Forbidden Lance.
9. More ppl get shot on Xmas Eve
