1. 2014 Ban List - This format will only include the format up until the end of North American Nationals Format In this format, we are left with the remnants of mermail-firefist format but toward the end of the format, the diversity of decks will include H.A.T, Mermail, Bujin, Sylvan, Dragon Rulers, Geargia, Infernity, Lightsworn, and Zombie FTK, . Although the format was very diluted at first with such limits and Mermail Abyssgunde and Coach Soldier Wolfbark, the format was given advancments in both creativity of diversity when the set Dragons of Legend was set to be released with defining cards such as Kuribandit, Fire and Ice Hand, Mathematician, Wiretap and the most iconic and one thetranscendant cards in the history of YGO, Soul Charge. Post Dragons of Legend, The first event was ARG Richmond (decklists here), where top the top 16 included Fire Fist, Bujin, Mermail, Geargia, Ghostrick and at last, Patrick Hoban's Dragon Rulers had won over A Loli's Dragon Rulers. Match's G1 and G2-G5. However, the meta had continued to evolve past these decks as we get a new set, Primal Origin, with such key cards being released for future meta defining decks that include Traptrix, Madolche, Sylvan and Artifact cards. However, the following event, YCS Philadelphia (Decklist's Here), the expected decks of Madolche, Dragon Ruler and Infernity would top, however would have unexpected decks making it into top 32 such as Inzektors, the newly discovered H.A.T, and even Evilswarm. A giant clusterfuck of decks and such a diverse wide array of strategies (with the top 3 decks not even playing Soul Charge). The format had only began to evolve. By the end of the format, the diversity decks at this point had began to define the format, with every deck having good and bad match-ups, and with nationals 2014 rolling around, no deck had really stuck out as the best deck. Decks like Mermail with Sehabi Kerradine and Bujins with Jeff Jones had some success in ARG's, Lightsworns being a popular deck in europe (Best Video on Youtube), but no clear deck had defined the format. So it was all up the in air as to what deck was really the best deck. Nationals 2014 was one of the diverse tournaments in the history of YGO. In stark contrast to the year before where Dragon Rulers, Spellbooks and ONE Madolche deck covered the entire 2013 Top 64, up to TEN DECKS had topped 64th the event (decklist here), however not all decklists here but I did what I could find). Decks most well known during this tournament consisted of Infernity, Sylvan, Dragon Ruler (Top 16 Duel), Lightsworn Ruler, Spellbook, Geargia (If you guys have Brandon's decklist, that would be great too), Bujin, The G.O.A.T Deck (AKA Reckless Frog OTK (video profile), Jeff Jones Koa'ki Meiru (Round 10 Duel), Fire Fist Artifact Traptrix (Semi-Final Duel), and eventual winner H.A.T (Deon and McDuffie Decklist) (Final Duel Here). In all, the format had a little of everything for every duelist and play style, from control, aggro, and stun. In my opinion, decks were still in their infancy as far as solving the format, with the format being a smaller, decks still had room to evolve and strategies to combat cards were still being discovered. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kw-Fl_xGpyY   Monsters: 13 3x Inzektor Centipede 3x Inzektor Ladybug 1x Inzektor Giga-Mantis 1x Inzektor Hornet 1x Inzektor Hopper 1x Inzektor Dragonfly 3x Mathematician   Spells: 14 3x Pot of Duality 3x Upstart Goblin 3x Mystical Space Typhoon 2x Soul Charge 1x Inzektor Sword - Zektkaliber 1x Book of Moon 1x Foolish Burial   Traps: 13 3x Wiretap 3x Fiendish Chain 3x Call of the Haunted 1x Torrential Tribute 1x Bottomless Trap Hole 1x Solemn Warning 1x Compulsory Evacuation Device   Side: 15 2x Maxx "C" 2x Prohibition 2x Twister 2x Nobleman of Crossout 1x Dark Hole 1x Dimensional Fissure 2x Waboku 2x Royal Decree 1x Soul Drain       The Extra is standard Rank 3s and 5s with a Gaia Charger. The majority of my choices are self-explanatory. I prefer Call of the Haunted over Soul Charge because the aim of the deck is to OTK. Soul Charge is still good however as it can help clear the board while placing a huge amount of pressure on the opponent. I don't really like Wabokus mained, and they have an even smaller application now Soul Charge is a thing. I still side them however, mainly for other OTK decks, or againt decks with problem monsters that I need to get rid of the next turn with a Hornet play. There's nothing else to say really.
  3. ARG Philly 1v3

I've never written one of these before so pardon how awful it might be, just wanted to write one about a rando deck I was playing finally performing optimally.    I borrowed geargia from a friend and never really wanted to play it, I know how to play the deck, but I don't believe I am that great with it like the other players in my area like Feeney, Furman and such I know the basics but nothing of how to use the ins and outs of the deck.    so I defaulted to my always favorite bricktype inzektors   now I've seen a lot of people play with upstarts and reckless and cardcar but I don't think that's where the deck should be. Nothing against them, I just personally do not like reckless as a card in most decks and cardcar makes you play lots of battle phase stoppers or other traps.    so I settled on something close to what me and trynet played in richmond    (please not I am awful at counting and until like round 3 I was not aware that somehow I was playing a 41 card deck with 3 upstarts, the list has since been modified)    Monsters :13  1 Inzektor Dragonfly  1 Inzektor Hornet  1 Inzektor Giga Mantis 1 Inzektor Hopper 3 Inzektor Centipede 3 Inzektor Ladybug 3 Professor OTK set-up phd (mathmatician)    Spells: 18 3 Upstart Goblin 3 Pot of Consistency  3 Soul charge 2 Inzektor Sword 2 Mystical Space Typhoon  1 Forbidden Lance 1 Book of Moon   Traps: 10 2 Threatening Roar  2 Dimensional Prison 2 Call of the Haunted 1 Solemn Warning 1 Torrential 1 BTH  1 Compulse    now, once again completely blanked that there was 41 here until trynet pointed it out, I still really do not like 3 soul charge even though it is pretty insane.  I still ran 2 copies of threatening roar because up until this point never played a game against LS ruler or Sylvan and didn't want to randomly die.      so onto my team   now I tried to talk them out of letting me play because I hadn't played in forever and thought my deck would hold them back   but my team-mates played with SB, and gravekeepers as our B main player, now on skill level obviously Andres was the best and I thought gks would just be a great call so  I told him to play as our B player..... that didn't turn out so.       Round 1: Team Papi y los hermanos vs Team Rocket ( Randolph, McCabe, and Carolyn)  inzektor vs Evilswarm  G1: I open 3 duality and upstart and a soul charge, I go first and draw a hornet for turn, after upstart and duality I net a mathematician and send dragonfly to soul charge it back next turn to control the whole game   G2: I open ladybug + hornet and when i equip she flips macro and i sit behind a messenger for a long time while dualities and upstarts dig for an mst and then I killed her field and took the game     by this point my team-mate andres had already lost to McCabe (sylvan) to which i just shrugged off to turn 1 nut plays and field spell wars   now onto the salty match   Brady vs Randolph SB mirror   Jarred does jarred things game 1 and wrecks him game 2 jarred bricks and kycoo kills him game 3 i walk over and assume there is no way for my team to lose brady has a flowing fate loop while jarred was interrupted and ran out of recycling spellbooks. now Brady has 1 dead blue boy, 1 on field blue boy and one in hand blue boy and which point time is very close to being called and jarred only has 1 set card on the field, and a tower in hand    Andres says " fate his backrow summon blue-boy and start to beat him down lower"  I say " if you feel that is the right play, but the backrow probably is something like a reckless or just a sb which is easily grabbed back with an eternity I would not recommend doing it , it's the monsters at this point you'd wanna fate since you know he most likely does not have a wisdom or else he would have stopped your blue boy power over blueboy" I am not listened to. Fate banishes the backrow which is jarred's own copy of fate " jarred laughs and says thanks for the best target to eternity back" jarred then draws to 2 cards, and draws a justice and runs the game and we lose out    0-1 :/ kinda mad that it seemed really obvious what to do and I wasn't listened to but whatever it's not big deal      Round 2:  didn't catch team name  Inzektor vs sylvan  g1 I open ladybug centipede and quickly get rolling he opens a brick and i kill him before he can do anything.  g2:  I open double maxx c and dfissure and maxx c his lonefire and he stops and I lockhim down under dfissure and control the game    Andres was 2-0'd but geargia but Brady managed to pull out a 2-1    1-1 ok we aren't out of this yet    Round 3 :  didn't catch team name ( but let's refer to them as team tv sitcom)  Inzektor vs Evilswarm  g1: she goes first does evilswarm things and I do inzektor things and she just flips and keeps saying " THERE IS NOTHING I CAN DO AGAINST THIS DECK!!" and she keeps fighting with one of her team-mates I kill her turn 2 g2: she makes a turn 1  utopia ?????? I am lost and kill her first turn and she argues with her b player more and he says and i quote " well if you have that kind of attitude you are never gonna win a game or draw good cards, you gotta believe in the heart of the cards and have a good attitude" they go back and forth the whole 3 minutes of our g1 & g2 I was very happy they ending so quickly since I just wanted to get out of there    their a player had his bujin deck stolen so it was an auto 2-0 for brady lucky because i didn't want it to come down to andres who for some reason kept performing awful    2-1 Can we do this ?   Round 4 :  inzektor vs F.A.T.  g1 i brick and i am killed g2 i kill him g3 i assume i am dead for so long and i am sitting at 13 with messenger slowly ticking away 100's for the whole game while he just sits there trash talking, i don't mind being competitive but don't be an outright scumbag when you are playing awfully. so i managed to kill all of his cards, and I have dragonfly and i know he has a set moraltech, and he has a face-up tenki.    now let me pause, and try to explain this, but for some reason I knew i had to pop the tenki and knew it was the right play but forsome reason I did not and my centipede that got brought out by dragonfly got killed by moraltech and the trash talking started again but this time i felt i deserved it, I knew what i had to do and was going to but for some reason didn't listen to myself, idk it was all weird but only my own fault. so I end up at 600lp after messenger finally being cleared ( i drew soul charge the turn my lp hit 1000 :/ and then another soul charge the following turn)  and a centipede equipped with gigamantis turns later. Now i know and he knows that if i get another turn he is dead, he went from 10000 to around 21 and couldn't do the last 13 to me.    unfortunately...... he top decks wolfbark and sits there with it thinking of what to do, at this point his b player who had already lost to my team-mate says " wtf are you doing why haven't you made heartland forever ago and killed him" he makes it and i lose  :/ oh well i should have lost that duel instantly but it lasted for a good 27 minutes.    at this point my friend Brady had tied with the Bujin player in time of g2 so it was a draw :/ at least andres finally won a match.    2-1-1  :/ still in their i guess,    Round 5: vs Dan, that guy Junior that won a ycs with sams, and someone    now let me pause, my friend Dan has just recently started playing a couple months back during the end of baby ruler format, he decided to tag alone for side-events and then decided he really wanted to do the 3v3 and i offered him my spot since I did not feel confident, he declined and also declined what he later told me was a team of two people who came up to him and said hey we are looking for a 3rd could you join us? Dan replied nah, and later pointed out to me who they were in their top 8 match and I said " Dan why the fuck would you turn down being on Ned's team with one of the leverret brothers?? He said " oh i didn't know who they were, I just knew everyone called him negative ned so I assume he was awful "    On to the match  Inzektor vs Geargia G1: i kill hilm G2: I kill him turn 2 opened pretty good to his pretty bad    brady also won so phew ok one more round and we are in 3-1-1    Round 6 vs Team Jarrid Centamore n Pals    now I knew my friend Jarrid who was a well known judge in the area and my team-mates knew him and his team-mates so it kinda sucked to play against friends in a win and in but we all promised no salt either way.... well it wouldn't be them I was salty at...   Inzektor vs Scraps G1: he opened with an absurd amount of hands and once i realized i made a dweller and bug Tk'd him  G2: I learned what scrap cards do, i never played when this deck came out managed to deal with them but couldn't handle the xyz universe into felgrand i walked into :/   G3: I showed him how broken mathmatician soul charge  is with me volcasurus his big guy and follow-up kill next turn    Andres lost game 3 to Jarrid's geargia which was a top deck war for so long back and forth   now this brings me to the reason I did not enjoy this event   Spellbook vs H.A.T. 1-1 G3 I look at brady's hand you fucking win just drop double priestess make draco and blue-boy and set your whole field up. Brady does not listen.for some reason he decides to make a master of blades instead..... and when i contiously question wtf he is doing he says " dude he's playing HAT now his moraltechs are useless he can't target me" ...... at this point  lost all hope in my team-mates and just wanted to leave.   " you realize that moraltech does not target right? are you kidding me you played that deck for so long!?!??! and even if it did it can't kill draco it has tokens wtf?!!?!?!?!?"    so Master of Blades proves to be completely useless, big surprise there right?    and then time is called. I am suddenly blanking on what brady's field was I think maybe a life'd priestessand a blue boy but all he has to do is attack and put his opponent far enough into damage that he cannot come back.  " ok brady attack and we make top 8"  the HAT player and Jarrid both know he has his final priestess and 3 sb in hand due to a turn earlier justice. and Jarrid even said to him " ok when he drops priestess activate this, and when he chains wisdom, activate this"  " alright brady just attack and win in time its your last turn..... "   Andres and him disagree  brady specials his priestess into BTH, and he immediately snaps wisdom like he is victorious, to walk right into a torrential.    and the last turn with 6000 to 6500   comes to a dionea attacking for game....... to 4300 to 6500    x-1-2 -_- I hate my team-mates at this point   we finished 15th    I felt so sick over this event and just tired in general i just decide to skip day 2 all together   I should have just gotten over it but whatever i guess I had fun    Props:  -inzektors coming through one last time -going 5-1 in matches personally -getting to see and hang out with people I don't normally get too -Team Rocket taking the whole thing :D -being the MVP even though I thought I'd be LVP Slops: - team-mates not listening -Andres shockingly not doing well at all  -punting a game to a F.A.T. player who was just an awful sportmans like person  -having 3 people I beat in top 8 :/ seemed so weird  -Brandon Brady
  4. INZEKTORS   Inzektors are starting early in the January 2014 format to have a lot of strong showings in many events for the first week of the format. They have a 1k event where they started undefeated and lost in the top 8. Another went undefeated in the Michigan Regional while another topped. All 3 were different versions of the deck which shows the versatility and different approaches you can take with Inzektors. The 3 different versions will be posted below:     Monsters:   Core monsters:     Dragonfly:
Dragonfly is most important card in the deck. It enables the Inzektor player to toolbox their entire maindeck, and when combined with Inzektor Hornet, it allows the Inzektor player to suddenly create a plethora of advantage from two cards alone. This is performed by equipping Inzektor Hornet to this card and then using Hornet to destroy a card. This then triggers Dragonfly's second effect, summoning Inzektor Centipede. This is just a basic play.   This card also enables the infamous OTKs by abusing Inzektor Hornet, Inzektor Giga-Mantis, and Inzektor Sword - Zektkaliber. The 1800 DEF can prove useful against monsters with low ATK, and setting Dragonfly is never a play to count out, especially as Waboku is more widely maindecked.   You can also use Dragonfly with Inzektor Ladybug for easy rank 4 or rank 5 summon.
Centipede:
All decks have some sort of consistency card. This is Inzektor's. Inzektor Centipede allows the Inzektor player to search out the combo pieces he is missing, often by triggering this card's effect with Inzektor Hornet. This card is often used to grab Inzektor Dragonfly to finish off the deadly +4 combo, but can be used to add Inzektor Giga-Mantis or Inzektor Sword - Zektkaliber to perform one of the deck's OTKs.   With 1600 ATK, he has a decent body to begin with and equipping this card with Hornet puts it up to a formidable 2100 ATK points. This presence can also prevent your opponent from committing cards to the board without feeling the consequences because if they can't remove the Hornet, you're going to get to use it next turn.   Once equipped with Sword he is a 2400 beatstick that will Return to your hand upon destruction. A force to be reckoned with.
Hornet:
This is another mandatory part of the Inzektor deck. He is a simple +1 when equipped from the graveyard to Dragonfly or Centipede, allowing the player to generate a mass of advantage through destroying the opponent's cards and bolstering the user's own card advantage. This is also the enabler of the OTKs this deck can pull off.   It was mentioned above, but don't forget that Hornet gives the monster it's equipped to +500 ATK. It is easy to overlook, but needs to be remembered for the situations where it may prove useful.
Ladybug:
This card brought something Inzektors needed: An effective, powerful play that they can use while the opponent isn't committing to the field or on the first turn when you can't attack. She also gives you the 500 ATK boost...so don't forget!   Consider the fact it's effect triggers Dragonfly and Centipede easily and simply, as with Inzektor Hopper and Inzektor Hornet. Combined with Dragonfly, this gives you access to a powerful toolbox of Xyz monsters including Volcasaurus, Tiras and Shark Fortress, Inzektor Exa-Stag, Crimson Shadow Armor Ninja, and Adreus.
Hopper:
Hopper was a TCG exclusive in ORCS.  It has been largely outclassed by Ladybug, but it's usefulness has increased now that Dragonfly and Hornet are at 1. Also, keep in mind he helps generate more options with Transmodify and Insect Imitation.   With Zektkaliber, this card is turned into a 2500 beater, add a Hornet and you've got a pretty massive bug on your hands. Remember though, unlike Ladybug, you cannot activate Hopper's effect on the first turn.
Giga-Mantis:
Inzektor Giga-Mantis is the most powerful base ATK monster in the entire Inzektor archetype. Consider him like an equip card; simply boosting any Inzektor monster to 2400 ATK. The simple pressure a 2400 beat stick can allow you to quickly reduce your opponent's life points. For example, if you have an Inzektor Centipede equipped with this card, and an Inzektor Hornet in the Graveyard, you are likely to get direct hits in very easily; ending the duel in as little as four turns.   Since Giga-Mantis activates in the hand, a few interesting ruling issues come up that can help an Inzektor player throughout the course of a tournament. For example, he is able to equip himself under Shadow-Imprisoning Mirror. Also, could find yourself in a situation where you summon an Inzektor monster, and activate its effect to equip this card. Your opponent, expecting Hornet, is likely to drop Effect Veiler, and then you can just follow it up with this card, meaning your opponent is down one Effect Veiler and you have lost nothing.   Giga-Mantis's second effect is usually the most important, as it is  a powerful OTK tool when combined with Dragonfly or Centipede. Just pop him with hornet.
Giga-Weevil:
Inzektor Giga-Weevil is the shield to the Mantis's sword. It is only ever used for its second effect allowing you to skirt Giga-Mantis's once per turn restriction.   Playing Giga-Weevil is something over which  Inzektor players have been known to disagree. Many prefer Sword for it’s reusable ability in the case of not exploding and for searchable grind-game tools. Weevil is a more explosive weapon that can provide more dynamic OTKs and Rank 6 summons.   OCG Inzektor decks often run 1 of this card, but largely because the interactions between Inzektor monster's and double equips differ.
Other Monsters:     Beetron:
Not the most popular option, but certainly something worth considering if you are going to take the Insect Imitation route.    You can use this card to swarm the field by summoning it alongside a Dragonfly that's equipped with something. You can use this card's effect to send the equip to the graveyard and summon the equip or another level 4 or lower Inzektor from your graveyard. Dragonfly's effect will also activate allowing you to summon an Inzektor from the Deck.   Alternatively, tribute a Dragonfly for Imitation after it used its effect to quickly summon this card and use this card's effect to revive Dragonfly to reuse its effect for more swarming.   This card also combos nicely with the full suite of Call of the Haunted that you'll be playing.
Tomato, Armageddon Knight, Monk, & Trooper:
These all serve largely the same purpose: get to your Hornet and Dragonfly ASAP. Tomato serves a dual role of being able to nab both Hornet and Dragonfly. Trooper is a solid stand-alone monster that can mill your Hornet, if you're lucky.   Armageddon Knight combos with Monk in some turbo builds to special summon Knight and send Hornet to the graveyard, Xyz summon Lavalval Chain, and then use Chain's effect to set Dragonfly to the top of your deck. As with anytime you play Monk, you need to be aware how easily disrupted the combo is.    It is likely that you'll play some combination of the above monsters in order to: (1) get to Hornet and (2) have monsters in your deck...the Inzektor core is pretty small.
Other Options: - Howling Insect (discussed below) - Cardcar D - Dark Armed Dragon - Hand traps   Spells:   Sword:
Zektkaliber allows for you to equip and give your monster an 800 ATK boost. In a grind game, this becomes important as you can maintain pressure by adding back to your hand a monster that was just destroyed.   Primarily, this card is equipped to Dragonfly/Centipede and, thanks to TCG rulings, you pop it with Hornet you get 2 Special Summons/Searches. This card will also be discussed down further to talk about the OTK's it helps create.
Foolish Burial & Insect Imitation:
Both are used to tutor combo pieces from your deck. The obvious target for Foolish is Hornet. Imitation combos well with Ladybug, tributing Ladybug then summoning a Centipede or Dragonfly to use the Ladybug you just sent to the graveyard.    You can also use Imitation on a Dragonfly or Centipede to summon Beetron (if you're playing it) and continue to combo off.
Verdant Sanctuary & Howling Insect:
These two cards work incredibly well with one another. If you control a Sanctuary, you can ram a Howling Insect into a larger monster, use Insect's effect to summon Dragonfly (because she's an Insect-type monster under 1500 ATK), and then use Sanctuary's effect to add Hornet to your hand (because Howling Insect is a Level 3 monster). Then, proceed to combo with Dragonfly. While all of that sounds awesome (and admittedly it is), it is a 2-card combo, and neither piece of the combo is searchable. It also has limited utility otherwise. Sometimes the more standard, stand-alone options (like Tomato and Trooper) are more generally useful.   That said, Verdant Sanctuary builds are more resilient to Fire Fist as well as common side deck options like Shadow-Imprisoning Mirror
Other options: - Pot of Duality - Upstart Goblin - Forbidden Lance - Allure of Darkness     Traps:     Threatening Roar &  Waboku:
Roar and Waboku function in the same way. They keep an Inzektor alive for a second turn continue pressuring the opponent with Hornet destruction and Centipede searches.   There was formerly no debate about Roar being a superior option over Waboku due the effects of cards that activate after battle (Tiras, Gladiator Beasts etc.) However, Waboku provides protection for monsters in battle, allowing a set Inzektor to survive to activate its effect the following turn. This is incredibly relevant when you want to dodge the effects of traps like Bottomless Trap Hole and Torrential Tribute.
Other Options: - Reckless Greed - Pinpoint Guard - Fiendish Chain - Generic good traps     Side Deck:   You will mostly see things like Shadow-Imprisioning Mirror sided in against you, and it will ruin your day. Obviously, Dust Tornado and the like are good outs to the situation. Ditto to Macro Cosmos in decks that can support it.   Hand traps like D.D. Crow and Effect Veiler is also an incredible options that will be sided in against Inzektor. D.D. Crow's existence makes Leviair incredibly important. If your opponent uses Veiler on a Dragonfly or Centipede equipped with Hornet or Ladybug, that Hornet will "fall off" because it is Dragonfly/Centi's effect that is allowing Hornet to be equipped. Honestly, there's little you can do against Veiler but set a Threatening Roar and hope to combo next turn.    Note: If, for some reason, your opponent allows you to equip hornet, allows hornet to activate it's effect, and then veilers, the Dragonfly/Centi effect will be negated, but not Hornet's.   While this deck plays around Dimensional Fissure (because the Hornet's and Ladybugs you are sending to the graveyard are treated as spells), Fissure screws up Tomato, Trooper, Howling Insect, etc. Worth noting, however, is that Inzektor usually sides into Dimensional Fissure to protect itself from Veiler.    The OTKS   Combo 1:
You need in hand: Inzektor Dragonfly Inzektor Hornet Inzektor Sword - Zektkaliber OR Inzektor Giga-Mantis   You need in deck: 3 Inzektor Centipede Inzektor Ladybug Inzektor Sword Zektkaliber OR Inzektor Giga-Mantis How it works: 1. Summon Dragonfly 2. Use effect, equip Hornet 3. If opponent has a card on field, go to A; if not then B A. 3. Destroy the opponent's card using Hornet. 4. Summon Centipede 5. Equip Hornet to Centipede. Equip Zektkaliber or Giga-Mantis to Dragonfly 6. Use Hornet to destroy Giga-Mantis / Zektkaliber 7. Dragonfly's effect to summon Centipede. Centipede effect to add Zektkaliber / Giga-Mantis 8. Repeat steps 5-8 9. Finally, summon Ladybug and use its effect to equip Giga-Mantis 10. Ending Field: 3 Centipede + Dragonfly + Ladybug with Giga-Mantis = 3*1600 + 1000 + 2400 = 8200 B. 3. Equip both Hornet and Zektkaliber / Giga-Mantis to Dragonfly. 4. Destroy Zektkaliber / Giga-Mantis with Hornet. Special summon 2 Centipede with Dragonfly. 5. This is the trickiest part. If you have Ladybug in hand, that would be great. Use it on Centipede and make it lvl 5. Then search for the Zektkaliber and repeat te previous steps in section A. 6. If you don't have Ladybug, then destroy one of your own cards with Hornet.
Combo 2
You need in hand: Inzektor Dragonfly, Inzektor Sword - Zektkaliber, Inzektor Hornet. You need in Deck: Inzektor Giga-Mantis, Inzektor Sword - Zektkaliber, 3 Inzektor Centipede, Inzektor Ladybug, Inzektor Hopper How it works: 1) Summon Dragonfly and equip with Sword and Hornet. 2) Use Hornet to destroy Sword. 3) Special Summon 2 Centipede and Return Hornet to the hand. 4) Equip Hornet to Centipede1. 5) Use Hornet to destroy Dragonfly. 6) Search Giga-Mantis. 7) Equip Giga-Mantis and Hornet to Centipede2. 8) Use Hornet to sestroy Giga-Mantis. 9) Giga-Mantis Special Summon Dragonfly and Centipede2 search Sword and Ladybug. 10) Equip Sword and Hornet to Dragonfly. 11) Use Hornet to destroy Sword. 12) Special Summon Centipede and Hopper and Return Mantis to hand. 13) Equip Mantis to Dragonfly. You now have some options. a) Use Ladybug to make Hopper and Centipede3 level 5. Search a Ladybug. Overlay into Volcasaurus. Blow up their biggest monster. Overlay for Thunder Charger. 1600 + 1600 + 2400 + 2600 = 8200 (+ burn damage). b)Use Hornet with Hopper and Centipede3 to destroy 2 cards your opponent controls. Search Ladybug. 1700 + 1600 + 1600 + 1600 + 2400 = 8900. c) Equip Hopper and Centipede with Ladybug and Hornet respectively. 2200 + 1600 + 1600 2400 + 2100 = 9900. If you run Cowboy you can make it here for 10700 (Use Ladybug to make Centipede1 or Centipede2 level 4).
Decklists:    Monk (Michigan Regional top 8, 8th Place)
Monsters 1 Inzektor Hornet 1 Inzektor Dragonfly 1 Inzektor Giga-Mantis 2 Inzektor Hopper 3 Inzektor Ladybug 3 Inzektor Centipede 2 Summoner Monk 2 Maxx "C" 1 Armageddon Knight 1 Dark Armed Dragon 1 Mystic Tomato   Spells 1 Dark Hole 1 Foolish Burial 2 Forbidden Lance 2 Zektkaliber 3 Pot of Duality 3 Mystical Space Typhoon 3 Insect Imitation   Traps 2 Fiendish Chain 2 Call of the Haunted 3 Threatening Roar 1 Solemn Warning   Extra Deck 1 Fortune Tune 1 Mechquipped 1 Leviair 1 Leviathan 1 Gagaga Cowboy 1 Abyss Dweller 1 Lavaval Chain 1 Maestroke 1 Master Key Beetle 1 Exa-Stag 1 Shark Fortress 1 Volcasaurus 1 Tiras 1 Crimson Shadow Armor Ninja 1 Gaia Dragon   Side Deck 2 Kycoo 1 Dimensional Fissure 2 Light Imprisoning Mirror 2 Dust Tornado 2 DNA Surgery  1 Soul Drain 1 Transmigration of Prophecy 2 Rivalry of Warlord
Deep Draw (Chicago 1k Undefeated during swiss, lost in the Top 8)
Monsters 1 Inzektor Giga-Mantis 1 Inzektor Hopper 1 Inzektor Dragonfly 1 Inzektor Hornet 3 Inzketor Centipede 3 CardCar D 3 Inzektor Ladybug   Spells 1 Inzektor Sword Zektkaliber 1 Foolish Burial 2 Forbidden Lance 3 Upstart Goblin 3 Pot of Duality 3 Mystical Space Typhoon   Traps 1 Solemn Warning 1 Compulsory Evacuation Device 3 Reckless Greed 3 Waboku 3 Fiendish Chain 3 Call of the Haunted   Extra Deck 1 Gachi Gachi 1 Fortune Tune 1 Zenmeines 1 Mechquipped Angineer 1 Leviair 1 Giga-Brilliant 1 Leviathan 1 Acid Golem 1 Gagaga Cowboy 1 Crimson Shadow Armor Ninja 1 Exa-Stag 1 Adreus 1 Tira 1 Volcasaurus 1 Shark Fortress   Side Deck 2 Gozen Match 2 Twister 1 Soul Drain 1 Dimensional Fissure 2 DNA Surgery 3 Maxx "C" 2 Light-Imprisoning Mirror 2 Rivalry of Warlords
Sanctuary ((Rats & Roaches) Undefeated Michigan Regional 1st place)
Monsters 3 Inzektor Centipede 3 Howling Insect 3 Maxx "C" 2 Cardcar D 2 Inzektor Ladybug 1 Inzektor Giga-Mantis 1 Inzektor Hopper 1 Giant Rat 1 Inzektor Dragonfly 1 Gokupon 1 Redox 1 Grandsoil 1 Inzektor Hornet 1 Swift Scarecrow 1 Tragoedia   Spells 3 Verdant Sanctuary 2 Mystical Space Typhoon 2 Creature Swap 1 Foolish Burial 1 Dark Hole   Traps 3 Trap Stun 3 Threatening Roar 1 Torrential Tribute 1 Call of the Haunted   Side Deck 1 Flying "C" 1 Messenger of Peace 1 Mystical Space Typhoon 1 DNA Surger 3 Dust Tornado 1 Imperial Iron Wall 1 Light of Intervention 2 Light - Imprisoning Mirror 2 Mind Crush 2 Overworked   Extra Deck 1 Abyss Dweller 1 Adreus 1 Gagaga Cowboy 1 Gaia Dragon 1 Exa-Stag 1 Leviair 1 Mechquipped Angineer 1 Leviathan 1 Giga-Brilliant 1 Acid Golem 1 Fortune Tune 1 Volcasaurus 1 Shark Fortress 1 Tiras 1 Zenmeines
If you have an Inzektor Hornet in the graveyard and any Inzektor monster on the field it makes them pass their turn until they can destroy Stumbling. It's incredible to have vs dragon a lot of people will use their Mystical Space Typhoon, Blaster or Raigeki Break on it because it forces them to pass their turn. They then get hit with a Imperial Iron Wall or Call of the Haunted for a Kycoo which are both gamebreaking in their respective matchups. Imperial Iron Wall: We all know what this card does and why it's good against Spellbooks and Dragons. I opted to main it because Inzektor has a naturally good matchup against rogue matchups and I've felt like once I get going the 1 dead card against rogue matchups really doesn't matter. It still has uses against matchups where it's not amazing in like stopping Rescue Rabbit, Constellar Sombre, Bottomless Trap Hole, and Evilswarm Kerykeion.   Effect Veiler: I'm sure a lot of people are thinking why not just play 3 Maxx "C"? I thought that at first also but the more I played this deck I found Effect Veiler was great. Out of the top matchups Spellbooks has been the hardest matchup for me and Effect Veiler is great there. Dragons try to through out Scrap Dragon, or Black Rose Dragon to destroy Imperial Iron Wall and stopping those have been pretty huge. It helps create soft locks with Imperial Iron Wall and my Inzektor monsters will clean up the threat they put on field on my next turn.   Why are you not playing Inzektor Sword Zetakalibur?: I opted to not play this card because I find it to be somewhat win more. Sure it's great when it goes off and you flat out win the game right there. But it's so fragile and gets shut down very easily. If I need the otk to go off I can search Mantis off Centipede. I feel like if I resolve Dragonfly or Centipede I am generally in a very strong position and i'd rather not make that worse by lowering the consistency.    Why are you not playing the 3rd Mystical Space Typhoon and you're siding 2 Dust Tornado?: The biggest reason is Call of the Haunted. There are some times where Dust Tornado is actually better than Mystical Space Typhoon. There are times that I do not want to set Call of the Haunted and I want to make sure it resolves. If I end phase Dust Tornado and use it's effect to set Call of the Haunted that can be really huge. I understand you can't use it the turn you draw it like Mystical Space Typhoon but blinding mst is almost never the right play.    I want to hear your thoughts on the deck and if you have any suggestions for me to try out I will test them. Thanks guys  :)
  6. Hey my name is Nick and this is the report for the Seattle regional held on September 21, 2013. I was considering playing the Earth Wind-Up deck I used last time, but I ended going with Inzektor. I made this choice because Inzektor is my favorite deck and the one I feel most comfortable with, but more so because I think Hornet is pretty good this format. Link to the list: http://i.imgur.com/3Lvzlhv.png THE REPORT I started up old faithful and stopped by the bank to use the Chase machine outside to get cash, then Fred Meyer to pick up some power bars to eat between rounds. I got to the tournament a hair past 8:30. Registration went smooth as expected and I pulled four rares and some Plant Princess card that had really cool art. I bought a French Ulti Dark Armed I had traded to a friend back from him for an amount of money I will never admit to paying. I picked up the Lance and Emptiness I needed from a friend from locals and played a couple rounds before round 1. *My memory isn't the greatest about these matches, especially posting two days later, so bear with me* Round 1: vs Spencer (Blackwing) Game 1: I remember this being slow, and I pretty much just grinded through his traps and eventually the advantage gained with Hornet and Dark Armed was too much. Game 2: I think I opened Hopper Sword, and he got rid of that somehow, and next turn I played the Hopper again and Messenger. He made this Ice Beast Zerofyne card and it annihilated me, that card is too good. Game 3: My Monk got veilered, and he had all the answers to my plays. It comes down to me having four darks in grave, with one being Hornet, and Dark Armed in hand. I have no field and he has Shura and Kalut with a dead Fiendish face up and no hand. If I drew ANY Inzektor I would equip Hornet drop DaD and win. I drew Armageddon Knight. 0-1 Round 1 Loss, ouch. That means every match is now "the bubble." Round 2: Justin (4 Axis Fire Fist) Game 1: I opened Armageddon Knight, milling Inzektor Hornet, and set an MST. He used Gyokkou on it, and I attempted to chain it without reading the card. He summoned Dragon and ran over Knight for 500 damage and set Tensen from his deck. He set another and ended. I ended up summoning Inzektor Hopper and popping Dragon with Hornet and swinging for 1700. The next couple turns are unclear, but I know I popped Gyokkou, used the set MST on a Tenki, and he eventually used Bear over Hopper and would later summon Tiger King. I ended up at 4600 with no monsters, as he kept freezing my Inzektors with Fiendish. He swung 1600 with Bear and 2200 with Tiger King. He forgot he had Tensen set and could have had game, as he left me at 800 after the attacks. This cost him, as I got Dragonfly through next turn and ended up wiping out all 6300 remaining life points right there. Game 2: I got in 3 early attacks with a Centipede equipped with Zektkaliber under his Shadow Imprisoning Mirror. He finally pulled out a Bear with 800 lp left, and knocked off the Centipede. I took a couple turns worth of attacks from him, as he used traps to keep the Centipede off the field when I attempted to summon it again after Sword gave it back. But I finally grabbed Hornet and popped his Bear and swung for the GG with my in hand Inzektors.   1-1   Round 3: Bishop (Malefic Geartown Skill Drain) Game 1: He Upstarts and plays Geartown with a couple sets and summons Malefic Stardust. He EEV's me for 3 spells in my standby, and summons Malefic Cyber End a couple turns later backed up by Skill Drain. I cannot handle it. Game 2: I hit him for 4000 early on with 2 Centipedes, one with a Sword, by Horneting Geartown to kill his Cyber End and make it miss timing. I clear his next monster with traps and do it again for game. Game 3: I take two early attacks from Barbaros, then end up hitting him for 2600 with Centipede and Dragonfly. He eventually clears them and puts me on a clock with Malefic Cyber End. He ends up bringing me to 3600, then attacking over a Ladybug to bring me to 100. That was my 3rd Dark, and big daddy comes out to play. He chains a trap, and I Trap Stun him. I push for 2800. He flips Skill Drain and it gets nailed with MST, and he ends up losing a Barbaros to Dark Armed. I finish him next turn after he draws no monster.   2-1   Round 4: Tylerphu (Mermail) I see the pairings and am playing a friend of mine. This gives me knowledge of his deck before hand. Game 1: I can't remember the details of this. I remember him pushing for a lot of damage early, and I punish his commitment to the field with Hornet and rack up the card advantage. Game 2: He makes a play to drop Moulinglacia, only to realize he sided it out. This leaves him in an unfavorable position, and Inzektors do what they do best and punish.   3-1   Sucks to play a friend, but a win is a win.   Round 5: Kameron (Mermail) Game 1: This game is pretty one sided. I open the Monk play, hit him for 1800 early on. He stops my OTK with Sphere, but he was playing on borrowed time and the Dragonfly and Dark Armed I stacked with Chain were too much. I never end up taking damage. Game 2: I get stomped. I hit him for 100 damage and am powerless. I can't exactly remember the gameplay. Game 3: The situation ends up being me 7800 him 7200. He has Decree and a dead Sphere up, with Abysspike and something else, Maybe Leed or Megalo. I have Messenger, a dead Call that he chained Decree to and a second Call facedown. I have Dragonfly and Hornet in grave. He summons Marksman to push for 1400 under Messenger and ends. I rip the Centipede and pop Decree, search Sword, flip Call for Dragonfly and finish his 7200 life.   4-1   Round 6: Aqua (T.G.) Game 1: I open Monk, ditch spell and grab Armageddon Knight, mill Hornet, make Lavalval and stack Dragonfly. I set Trap Stun and something else, and next turn Stun and pop all of his sets and end with Dragonfly, Centipede and sets. The card advantage is too much, and I have the Threatening to stop any pushes and win this one a turn or two later with 8000 lp. Game 2: He summons Warwolf sets two. I Armageddon Knight for Hornet and attack. He flips double Horn and kills Knight, draws two. I set MST and something else and end. He summons Dyna and pushes for more damage and sets two and ends. I blast one set with MST, it was the third Horn. I draw and use Spiritualism, which I side for Infernity but thought it would be useful against Drain, and return his set to his hand. This leaves him wide open for Dragonfly to come down with a Sword and pop his field and take out all 8000 life points. This one was fast, there was till 29 minutes on the clock when it ended.   5-1   Round 7: Luke (Mermail) I barely remember this match.  Game 1: I know I was positive he was playing Dragons, because he was the guy that beat me in round 2 last time with the deck while I was using Wind-Up. When he opened Pike I had to work to hide my satisfaction. This one was slower, but I had control most of the game. I know I got to Hornet right away and just started punishing him for playing cards until I had complete board control. Game 2: I hit in for some damage early with Centipede plus Sword, but he came back and wiped me out. Game 3: He opened badly, with both Tidals. I took a little damage early, then set myself up to hit him for 4000, then game the turn after. Sorry about the lack of details on this one.   6-1   Round 8: Jonah (Mermail) Another Mermail, whoopee. I sit down and he says, "So you're the Inzektor guy, huh?" This blew me away. "You've heard of me?" I exclaimed back. This surprised me, but I can't lie, it was sort of cool. Game 1: I open Monk, he uses Maxx "C". I mill the Hornet, but when I make Chain he draws the Veiler. Its ok. I set Warning and Threatening. He reveals Teus and pitches Teus. That makes me think he opened pretty bad, so I Warning. He Megalo's and searches Sphere, attacking Chain, but I Roar. I draw and stack Dragonfly. I think I get rid of his Megalo and blast him for 1800. I finish him on the turn after that. Game 2: I do 100 points of damage, but he controls this game and knocks me down to 4900 before wiping the rest out in one turn. Game 3: Super one sided. I opened Monk and OTK'd him straight from 8000 to 0. I didn't take any damage.   7-1   It is at this point that I finally allow a little hope of topping into my mind. I was very afraid of Dragons, however. I knew the likes of Chancy, Destin, and Hentz would be potential opponents this round, and they all used Dragons.   Round 9: Taylor (Mermail) So we sit down, and this guy rolls out his Mermail mat. I get a little excited. I turn around, and a friend from my shop mouths the word water. Yesss. He also recognizes me, acknowledging aloud that I am playing Inzektors. We shuffle and are about to begin when a judge comes over and says that we are getting deck checked. Wonderful. I look over, and Destin and his opponent get deck checked as well. They get their decks back after ten minutes. My opponent and I continue to just twiddle our thumbs. Finally, after twenty minutes, two judges come over. One sends my opponent away to the judge's table and the other talks to me. He points out one of my Call of the Haunted sleeves are bent in the corner. He tells me to change it and informs me I will be receiving a game loss. I change it and wait. My opponent is taking forever with his issue over at the judge's table. Another judge comes up and tells me my opponents issue is much worse than mine and he might just get a match loss. After this, the head judge comes over to my table and asks if the judge spoke to me. I said yes, and I told him the judge had me change the Call sleeve and asked if i had translations for my foreign cards, which I did. The head judge nods and explains that he doesn't believe I intentionally marked the sleeve because its just a Call, and it is easy for a corner of a sleeve to bend while shuffling without noticing. He says this is why he is not upgrading it to a match loss, and it will stay a game loss. He informs me my opponent is also getting a game loss, and has to resleeve his entire deck. I ask if we will side for our only game. He says because you side after playing a game, and we haven't played a game, we will not side. Five to ten minutes later my opponent returns, and the judges give us a thirty minute time extension and we finally begin. My opponent shakes my hand and says lets just have a fun game, good luck. We rolled the die before all the madness, and he won, so I tell him I will honor that and he has first turn. Game 1(only game): I open Dark Armed, double Duality, Warning, and two other cards. I get the feeling he opened sub par. I Duality into Centipede and set Warning and something else. I Warning the Abysslinde and I play my second Duality into Foolish Burial for Hornet. I take an attack. I Centipede him and search Dragonfly. He pushes in again, and I decide to go off. I resolve Dragonfly, and he chains Maxx "C". At this point, he has 6100 and I know I can game him with the OTK plus Dark Armed. I decide to take the Maxx "C" challenge, and he draws several cards while I start looping Hornet. My grave reaches three darks when I detach for Leviathan. I had Hopper and Leviathan on board with Mantis and DaD in hand. I drop the Dark Armed Dragon, and he offers the handshake. I don't know if he had the Veiler for Hopper or not.   I can finally relax. After 8 rounds of being on the bubble, I can rest easy. A bunch of people from locals congratulate me, and it feels good. I end up placing 6th, the lowest 8-1, because of my tiebreaker. The top 8 ends up being 7 Dragons and me. I get the Star Eater mat, which is beautiful. I have no choice but to celebrate...with DICKS.     Props Jake's Dragon Ruler Exodia deck Getting to play with Stibbins Not playing any dragons French Ulti Dark Armed Dick's Burgers Invite Destin and Chancy topping as well All my opponents were really cool, especially Taylor in round 9 Sold my binder Harold Davis for being great and getting his invite Noah getting 9th (hahahahahahaha) Star Eater Mat Getting my first top with the deck I love   Slops Round 9 bs (would have loved to play a full match) Losing round 1 and being scared all day long $32 total in parking Pulling crap from all 8 packs Jake having to leave early Edgar losing his binder
  7. So I had a situation come up on Dueling Network today.   My opponent summoned Inzektor Dragonfly and attached Hornet to it. I then used compulse to bounce the Dragonfly. He then activated MST to destroy Hornet. Will Dragonfly's effect happen?   Basically...does dragonfly have to be face up on the field to resolve?
  8. Inzektor - Discussion

My first time making this type of thread on DGZ so bare with me. I'm currently playing this deck and I honestly think not only is it tier 1 but is still really under the radar (so easy wins) Inzektors are a theme that debuted in Order of Chaos. They were a powerhouse last format but with the limits of Hornet and Dragonfly many people disregarded them as "dead" this format (big mistake). Hornet is the card that allows you to simplify the game and completely control the board. As long as you have an Inzektor on the field Hornet they cant kill Hornet essentially acts an infinite MST/Night Assailant . It also gives you a nifty 500 atk gain and since its destruction effect if not linked to the other Inzektors if its negated the other Inzektor will be unaffected. Centipede is now without a doubt the "IT" monster of the deck. He's the ultimate toolbox card for the deck allowing you to get any support card you may need in the situation. He's always is a +1 turn after turn and generally with Hornet it allows one of the simplest and most effective plays the deck has (Centipede, pop a card with Hornet, then search Zektkaliber and Equip to Centipede). Centipede is now numero uno : Run 3 Inzektor Giga-Mantis (The Blue Ranger) : You can target 1 face-up "Inzektor" monster you control; equip this card from your hand to that target. While this card is equipped to a monster, that monster's original ATK becomes 2400. If this card is sent to the Graveyard while equipped to a monster: You can target 1 "Inzektor" monster in your Graveyard except "Inzektor Giga-Mantis"; Special Summon that target. This effect of "Inzektor Giga-Mantis" can only be used once per turn Giga-Mantis is the definition of a good "one of". Mainly because it allows you to deal with Effect Veiler. Mantis is its own inherent effect essentially dodging the Veiler . The biggest factor in running this card is the the OTK power it allows, when destroyed it allows you to summon an Inzektor from the GY . This allows you to go spam crazy with Dragonfly or Centipede for OTK's. Run 1 Inzektor Ladybug (The Pink Ranger) : Once per turn: You can equip 1 "Inzektor" monster from your hand or Graveyard to this card. While this card is equipped to a monster, that monster's Level is increased by 2, also it gains ATK and DEF equal to this card's ATK and DEF. While this card is equipped to a monster: You can send this Equip Card to the Graveyard to target 1 face-up monster you control; increase that target's Level by up to 2. She was wildly unnecessary in previous formats but now with Hornet at one is essential in multiples. She gets the Centipede toolbox started , allows XYZ plays with Dragonfly, has the same ATK gain clause as Hornet. As crazy as this sounds I've won a multiple of games never hitting Hornet and just riding this card to victory with Dragonfly/Hornet : Run 2-3 Inzektor Hopper (The Yellow Ranger) : Once per turn: You can equip 1 "Inzektor" monster from your hand or Graveyard to this card. While this card is equipped to a monster, that monster's Level is increased by 4. While this card is equipped to a monster: You can send this Equip Card to the Graveyard; the monster it was equipped to can attack your opponent directly this turn. Other monsters cannot attack the turn you activate this effect. This is a 50/50 card right now and much like the Yellow Ranger some would say bad and unnecessary. The recent ruling change means you cannot use this card turn 1 which hurts its viability, however in tight spots when you start slow it gets the Centipede/Dragonfly train rolling. I personally like it over a third Ladybug because its a potential beatstick boasting an impressive 2200 with Ladybug and Hornet. Run 0-1 Inzektor Sword - Zektkaliber (Saba) : Equip only to an "Inzektor" monster. It gains 800 ATK and DEF. When this face-up card on the field is sent to the Graveyard: Target 1 "Inzektor" monster in your Graveyard; add that target to your hand. Another card that didnt see much play last format but now is basically staple level. The biggest reason is it allows you to control the board with Centipede (who will be a 2400 beater) and protect yourself from removal. If the monster is removed or flipped facedown you gives you an Inzektor back to your hand even if its the same Inzektor that was destroyed. There's basically no downside to this card and it will always pay for itself. It also allows for the Dragonfly OTK. Run 2 Support/ Other cards to consider http://yugioh.wikia....rk_Armed_Dragon - Dark Armed allows for OTK pushes and can be a killer top deck. Inzektors can control the GY fantastically because they can remove darks with their effects : Run 0-1 http://yugioh.wikia....i/Mystic_Tomato - Can not be bottomless, and gives you access to Hornet, Dragonfly , Sangan, Ladybug. Also sets up Dark Arm plays : Run 1-2 http://yugioh.wikia....ki/Card_Trooper - Clashes with Thunder King and Neos Alius, the nuts vs Doomcaliber, gets Lady and Hornet in the GY and lets you draw when it dies . Litterally no reason not to use. Run 2 http://yugioh.wikia....i/Snowman_Eater - I'm personally a fan of this card, gives the deck a good turn 1 set allowing field presence and considering much of this deck is level 3 it allows for easy Rank 3 plays when flipped. Call of the Haunted : Target 1 monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon that target in face-up Attack Position. When this card leaves the field, destroy that target. When that target is destroyed, destroy this card. The best thing this deck has going for it right now is that COTH is at 3. This allows for multiple Dragonfly loops, to counter Solemn cards, and to mitigate S/T removal by chaining it and targeting Sangan and Card Trooper . Run 2-3 Safe Zone : Activate by selecting 1 face-up Attack Position monster. That monster cannot be targeted or destroyed by your opponent's card effects, or be destroyed by battle. It cannot attack your opponent directly. When this card is removed from the field, destroy that monster. When that monster is removed from the field, destroy this card. Safe Zone is a lot like Call of the Haunted in a sense it gives you answers to play disrupting cards. Mainly Bottomless and Torrential Tribute , Safe Zone gives you essentially an indestructible Inzektor who with combined with Hornet puts your opponent in a no win situation where they cant commit to the field. Its also worth noting its chainable to backrow destruction if your opponent has a monster on the board which will result in a one for one. I like this card a lot but not so much in multples. Test for yourself. Run 0-2 Threatening Roar : Your opponent cannot declare an attack this turn Roar got some minimal attention last format but its worth looking at now. Inzektors are not a trap heavy deck and can be susceptible to getting "Turbo'd out" if you dont have the good fortune of having a hand trap. This not only solves that problem but it works in conjunction with what the decks wants to already do. T-Roar allows you do leave Dragonflys and Centipedes on the field unprotected and gives you blanket protection. The card is also chainable, I think it can absolutely shine against fast pace decks that dont play much defense like Chaos Dragons and Bubble beat variants. Run 0-2 The Extra deck - Consdering Centipede,Hornet, and Dragonfly are all level 3 this deck can make rank 3's insanely easy. With Ladybug you can make rank 4/5/6 very feasible. You should basically run most of the good Rank 3's, one good 4, a few 5's, and a couple 6's. Inzektor - Exa-Stag : 2 Level 5 Insect-Type monsters Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card to target 1 monster your opponent controls or in their Graveyard; equip that target to this card. This card gains ATK and DEF equal to half the original ATK and DEF of the monster(s) equipped by this effect. RUN THIS CARD ! I didnt think much of it originally but it games where you ride Ladybug this card puts in work. its an out to Grapha, The Shining, facedowns. Situationally this card is fantastic and you can use it multiple times . Run 1 Hopefully you guys liked this. If I missed stuff LMK, I will update A Good Blueprint to start with Previous format's discussion

Props to my nigga Allen for introducing me to this decktype, helping me with the first few builds, and showing me just how capable this deck really is. Inzektors are a theme that debuted in Order of Chaos, and are shaping to be one of the first really competent Insect based archetypes. The deck boasts consistency, simplified destruction access, the ability to drop Rank 3 Xyz monsters at the drop of a hat, and a core that is a self-perpetuating +4. But let's take a look at each of the members first hand: Once per turn: You can equip 1 "Inzektor" monster from your hand or Graveyard to this card. While this card is equipped to a monster, that monster's Level is increased by 3, also it gains ATK and DEF equal to this card's ATK and DEF. While this card is equipped to a monster: You can send this Equip Card to the Graveyard to target 1 card on the field; destroy that target. Inzektor Hornet is the deck's heartbeat. He can be equipped to any of the Inzektor monsters and pop a card, and using him allows you to activate the equipped Inzector's effect as well, resulting in more pluses. Hornet serves as the deck's answer to Fossil Dyna, Thunder King, Archlord Kristya, large Synchro monsters, and even defensive pivots like Gachi Gachi and Zenmaines, as well. Hornet's contribution to a standard Inzektor loop allows you to destroy 2 cards on either side of the field per turn, clearing the way for an Xyz summon once your combo is complete. Run 3, or don't run Inzektor. Once per turn: You can equip 1 "Inzektor" monster from your hand or Graveyard to this card. While this card is equipped to a monster, that monster's Level is increased by 3. Where Hornet is the heartbeat of the deck, Inzektor Dragonfly is its muscle. After Hornet pops a card, being sent from Dragonfly will allow you to special summon another Inzektor from your deck, except Dragonfly herself. This means you can grab Centipede, (which I'll cover in just a second) Hornet, or a 2400 beater/defender in Giga-mantis/Weevil respectively. In most cases, you'll be grabbing Centipede, popping another card, and rounding the play off with your Rank 3 of choice. Run 3. Once per turn: You can equip 1 "Inzektor" monster from your hand or Graveyard to this card. If an Equip Card(s) is sent to your Graveyard while equipped to this card (except during the Damage Step): You can add 1 "Inzektor" card from your Deck to your hand. While this card is equipped to a monster, that monster's Level is increased by 3. And Inzektor Centipede rounds the loop off perfectly. Your ideal summon off of Dragonfly is this guy, because when Hornet pops a card being sent from Centipede, you get to search any Inzektor monster you want, which means searching Dragonfly will allow you to do more ridiculous plays next turn. Functioning as a 2100 beater with Hornet and his excellent synergy with Duality are also worth mentioning. Run 3. Now, when I say "the loop", I am referring to the combo Dragonfly, Hornet, and Centipede create that refuels itself every turn. Giga-mantis also isn't a dead draw, as he can equip himself from the hand to pump any Inzektor to 2400 ATK, mitigating a possible Veiler and giving a Dragonfly/Centipede the bulk they might need to survive another turn. Run 1.
Actually, Dragonfly will trigger twice, and they'll form a chain.
It's to be noted that Hornet destroying Giga-Mantis is very often an OTK because of the fact that the combo drops three Inzektors by itself. http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Inzektor_Giga-Weevil Inzektor Giga-weevil is the same as Giga-mantis except for his boost; he boosts to 2600 in Defense. Run 0-2. Dark Armed Dragon is excellent in this deck, because it provides it with a very meaty and very scary beater, and can banish Dragonflys from your grave which can then be reused by Leviair. Also provides access to the many Rank 3s this deck runs inherently. She provides a solid normal summon when your opponent isn't doing much of anything and is extremely powerful with Call of the Haunted, which is now unlimited. Tour Guide is not mandatory to run, but she isn't to be disregarded simply because of her price tag. If you're not running Tour Guide, you should be running something that's netting you the same type of advantage she provides. Spirit Reaper serves 2 roles; it protects your LP while you stall for your Hornet draw, or whatever it is you're waiting on, which is particularly helpful against Rabbit, as Reaper will buy you more time that just about anything else in the deck. Run anywhere from 0-3, it's all about preference. Doom Dozer is similar to DaD, but he's a bit more simplistic; just a huge beater that removed a few Insects. Still excellent for combos with Leviair and general pressure; and has a wide range of things to make him live, such as Maxx "C", Underground Arachnid, and Number 20: Gig-Anto Brilli-ant, Damsels, and Centibeets. Inzektors (when equipped with Hornet/Dragonfly/Ant/Centipede) have their levels boosted by three, which means the likes of Dragonfly, Centipede, and Hornet can make this monster, but you're not going to drop it too much. Its effect is something similar to Scrap Dragon, only a bit more specialized (face-ups only), but two advantages it has over Scrap Dragon is that it sends the the cards to the graveyard (which gets around Shi En, Stardust, Gantetsu, Musakani, etc) and that it also equips a monster to itself upon summon, which it can use for the first use of the effect if necessary, so the first time it's essentially a +1. Running it in your extra is by no means necessary because of the lofty summoning condition, but do so if you have the room. This deck makes Rank 3s like it's no trouble at all. If both your Dragonfly and Centipede are destroyed on your opponent's turn you still have your in-hand Dragonfly to go off with next turn, and not destroying your Dragonfly/Centipede can prove to be very fatal to them. Gorz the Emissary of Darkness -Gorz simply becomes the 2 cards necessary for Dragonfly to complete its loop, and if the loop is already finished, and Gorz is summoned before Dragonfly has the luxury of being able to destroy it, all you have to do is Xyz into Zenmaines for a defensive play to protect you from Gorz, or Acid Golem to make sure it cannot be run over. Thunder King Rai-Oh -TKR isn't a menace for this deck, as Hornet simply destroys it and moves on with life. Even Centipede doesn't care too much, as it can equip Hornet, destroy TKR and get a search, or simply beat over it. Without Hornet, it becomes much more difficult to deal with, but it shouldn't be a threat most of the time. Gigamantis also turns any Inzektor into a big enough beater to run over Rai-oh if you're desperate. Evolzar Dolkka/Laggia -Get rid of these niggas as best you can. Sample Decklist: 21 Monsters: 3 Inzektor Dragonfly 3 Inzektor Hornet 3 Inzektor Centipede 3 Tour Guide from the Underworld 3 Maxx "C" 1 Inzektor Gruf 1 Spirit Reaper 1 Effect Veiler 1 Inzektor Giga-mantis 1 Sangan 1 Dark Armed Dragon 9 Spells: 3 Mystical Space Typhoon 1 Allure of Darkness 1 Dark Hole 1 Monster Reborn 1 Foolish Burial 1 Heavy Storm 1 Pot of Avarice 10 Traps: 3 Call of the Haunted 2 Solemn Warning 2 Torrential Tribute 2 Fiendish Chain 1 Solemn Judgment Extra Deck: 2 Leviair the Sea Dragon 2 Wind-Up Zenmaines 1 Number 20: Gig-anto Brilli-ant 1 Number 30: Acid Golem of Destruction 1 Number 17: Leviathan Dragon 1 Number 39: Utopia 1 Adreus, Keeper of Armageddon 1 Tiras, Keeper of Genesis 1 Number 61: Volcasaurus 1 Gaia Dragoon, the Force of Lightning 1 Lavalval Chain 1 Number 50: Black Corn 1 Chimeratech Fortress Dragon This deck can also be ran in conjunction with Wind-Ups, because Zenmaighty is a Rank 3, and the potential of obliterating your opponent's field and hand with Dragonfly/Wind-Up Hunter combos is tantalizing.

11. This is my first time posting a tournament report on here, so bear with me. (lol bear..)   I played Inzektors this weekend, went 8-1, first place. How was I in first place at 8-1? I'll explain in a moment.   I have played Inzektors for over a year for numerous reasons. I think the deck is really fun to play, it can still keep up with the format, if played with precision, and patience. It is NOT the best deck, it WILL draw inconsistently every so often, because it is a deck that was punished the first ban list, then the second ban list it lost Sangan. (I miss that guy) I do not like the current format. There isn't a single deck that I find appealing.   Friday: I was at my local card shop and Hidden Arsenal 7 was legal. I was looking around for Evilswarm stuff and I completely forgot that Lavalvalvlalvallvaalvll Chain was in this based set. Anyway, one of my teammates acquired Chain, then asks me if I'm going to play the Monks. I was reluctant to at first, simply because I have not tested the list that I thought of months ago, but the idea of manipulating your graveyard and top deck in one turn is divine. We make our four hour departure to Orlando, crash at a friend's house, perform rituals, no sleep.   Saturday: I wake up after falling asleep for two hours, we get to the venue, there's a bunch of 12 year old cheerleaders, and a bunch of bearded men playing children's card games..... awkward..... I was pretty salty because I pulled a Quick Booster from my packs, my teammate pulls a Megalo. fml. Decklists, blah, blah, blah.     Round One: Fire Fist (2-0)   Game One: I owe Monk a cold one. I open monk game one, special summon Armageddon Knight, send Hornet to the Graveyard, overlay into Chain, send Dragonfly to the top of my deck. I believe I otk'd him after that.   Game Two: It was a slow paced game, we were pretty much grinding it out. I did not open very well, however, I utilized Threatening Roar, and Messenger of Peace to slow the pace of the game until I drew a Centipede, then I summoned Centipede, equipped Heart of Clear Water, searched Hornet, activated Centipede's effect, destroyed his Burr, searched Dragonfly. The next turn, he summoned a Bear, killed my Centipede with its effect, set one, passed. At his End Phase, I flipped Royal Decree. I summoned Dragonfly, went on to otk him.     Round Two: Geargia (2-0)   Game One: I lost the die roll. I did not really see Hornet this round, but I still put in work with Exa-Stag. I used Dragonfly and Lady Bug, recycled Centipede and Zektkalibur and prevented him from reviving his Machina Fortress. No, no, no, not in my house.   Game Two: I used the same strategy this game as well. He activated Compulsory on Exa-Stag, using Zektkalibur, I returned Dragonfly to my hand, but the very next turn, I equipped his Fortress to my Exa-Stag. Extra-Swag too strong.     Round Three: Gladiator Beasts (2-0) Game One: I was slightly confused about my opponent's play. I opened Centipede/Ladybug, searched Dragonfly, set Book of Moon, passed. He activates Heavy Storm, summons Laquari, attacks over my Centipede, tags out into Retiari, banishes my Centipede instead of Ladybug. I capitalized on his misplay, activated MST on his one set, summoned Centipede, searched Hornet, went into Crimson Shadow Armor Ninja. I kept control of the game with Ninja/Centipede. Game Two: He sets three, summons Laquari. I activate Heavy Storm, wipe out his three, activate Messenger, and camp on that card until I drew Centipede, slowly sniping, until I went in for the kill.   Round Four: Six Samurai (2-1) Game One: I lost the die roll. He opens Kageki, Kagemusha into Shi En, summon Kizan, set three, pass. I set Call of the Haunted, Solemn Judgment, Lance, and Torrential Tribute. I take 1800 + 2500, he then passes. I summon Cenipede, he activates Bottomless, I activate Torrential in response, he flips Magatama, I chain Judgment, he chains Judgment. I scooped immediately.   Game Two: I summon Centipede/Ladybug search Dragonfly, set MST, pass. He opens United, summons Kageki, Kagemusha, specials Kizan, I MST his United, he runs over my Centipede with Kizan, I take 2500, he sets two. My turn, I activate Book of Moon, he negates, I MST (blind MST ftw), I hit his solemn Warning. I summon Dragonfly, he activates Fiendish, I Lance, then I go off into Tiras. He had nothing left, so we went to game three.   Game Three: He opens Enishi/Kizan, set two. I set two, then pass. He attacks, sets one more. I summon Thunder King-Rai-Oh, I attacked Enishi. He draws, activates Gateway, Summons another Kizan, he overlays into Shadow of the Six: Shi En, I warn him without hesitation. He passes. I attack him directly, set one. He flips his set Dark Hole, I chain Safe Zone. I continue to camp on Safe Zone until I summoned a Thunder King, attacked him directly, he attempts to Fienish Chain, but I respond with MST. He was at about 4100, he draws, then passes. I drew Heavy Storm, I clear the entire board, destroy my own Thunder King, Reborn that Thunder King, normal summon Maxx "C", then attack for game.   Round Five: Frog (2-0) Game One: I don't remember much of this game, but I increased the level of my Dark Armed Dragon to level 8, with a Leviair, a Dragonfly, and Centipede on the field, he dropped a huge Trag on me, which I could not get around because the Centipede was already used. He steals my DAD by sending LADD to the grave, uses Trag's effect to reduce his level to two, overlays into Dai Gusto Phoenix, uses DAD's effect to destroy the sword equipped, triggering my Dragonfly, adding Hornet back to hand with Zektkalibur, summon Centipede from the deck. He cleared all but one Centipede. I won the game from there on.   Game Two: The game was kind of slow, I don't remember this match much, but we were going back and forth, I had D-Fissure, he was abusing Caius/Swap Frog, but I won that one.     Round Six: Mermail (2-0) (I was in Table 1) Game One: I open Centipede/Ladybug, grab Dragonfly, set Threatening Roar, pass. He opened poorly, summoned Abysspike, attempted to enter Battle Phase, I flip Threatening Roar. I otk'd him the very next turn. My board ended with Dark Armed, Leviathan, Shock Master, and a Centipede equipped with Giga-Mantis. Game Two: He summons Abysspike, pitches Dragoons, searches Megalo and Marksman, sets two, passes. I summon Centipede, activate his effect, run over his Pike, Main Phase 2, I send Hornet to the grave, destroy his set, search Dragonfly, set Threatening Roar, end of Main Phase two, he attempts to activate Sphere, I MST. He tries going off, I flip Threatening Roar, I otk'd him the very next turn.     Round Seven: Mermail (2-0) Game One: I open Dragonfly/Ladybug, into Centipede, search Centipede, overlay into Crimson Shadow Armor Ninja turn one, set Threatening Roar/Bottomless. He Heavy Storms, I threatening, he doesn't follow up with it, the next turn, I OTK him with a Shock Master. Game Two: We grind it out, he ends up with Gaios destroying my Ninja, I rip into Book of Moon, then I explode with Dragonfly/Sword/Hornet. I destroy his field of Gaios, double Abysslinde, Abysspike, leaving him with Abyssdine only. My board was Gaia Charger, Leviathan Dragon, and a Hopper with one set. He activates Dark Hole, sets one, then passes. I drew nothing, passed. He flips Sphere, into Linde, into Leed, I bottomless his Leed, he didn't follow up the next turn, I played Centipede and defeat him.   Round Eight: Karkuri (Win by DQ) We were the only undefeated players left. It was unfortunate, because he was ejected from the venue. He apparently was banned from the store that was hosting the Regional. I was actually very upset because I wanted to play it out, win or lose. Certain players told me a win is a win. I did not want to win that way, that's for sure.   Round Nine: Fire-Fist (1-2)   Game One: I open Monk/Arma Knight, Chain, place Dragonfly on top of my deck. I don't remember this match very much, because I was drained already, but I won that game one.   Game Two: We had to grind this game out, but he gained advantage because Bear/Banisher is too strong. Game Three: I summoned Thunder King, set Bottomless/Safe Zone. He Heavy Storms me for two, destroys me with Banisher/Bear again.   It was unfortunate that I don't remember the exact detail of these matches, but my last round was definitely my most difficult match, and I lost to a friend, putting him in 5th place. I'm definitely happy we got to play a good match, and he got into top eight.   Top Eight: GB (2-0)   Game One: He received a game one loss because of some error in his deck list.   Game Two: He summons Laquari, sets one. I MST his Mirror Force, summon Centipede, equip Hornet, destroy his Laquari, search Zektkalibur. He summons Laquari, destroys Centipede, summons Darius, revives his Laquari, overlays into Maestroke. He then sets two. I summon Card Car D, set Safe Zone, draw two. He summons another GB, tags out into Bestiari, attempts to destroy Safe Zone, I chain, destroying his Bestiari, next turn I Heavy Storm, summon Dragonfly equip Hornet, Sword, win game.   Monsters: 15 3 Centipede 3 Ladybug 1 Giga-Mantis 1 Hornet 1 Dragonfly 1 Hopper 2 Summoner Monk 1 Armageddon Knight 1 Dark Armed Dragon 1 Card Car D Spells: 15 3 Mystical Space Typhoon 2 Zektkalibur 2 Pot of Duality 1 Heart of Clear Water 1 Forbidden Lance 1 Heavy Storm 1 Dark Hole 1 Monster Reborn 1 Foolish Burial 1 Allure of Darkness 1 Book of Moon Traps: 11 3 Threatening Roar 1 Call of the Haunted 1 Safe Zone 2 Bottomless 2 Torrential 1 Solemn Judgment 1 Solemn Warning Side Deck: 3 Maxx "C" 2 Thunder King Rai-Oh 1 Tragoedia 2 Royal Decree 3 Dimensional Fissure 2 Messenger of Peace 2 Soul Taker Extra Deck: 15 Gaia Dragon, the Thunder Charger Tiras, Keeper of Genesis Number 61: Volcasaurus Number 12: Crimson Shadow Armor Ninja Inzektor Exa-Stag Number 39: Utopia Number 16: Shock Master Maestroke the Symphony Djinn Lavalval Chain Number 30: Acid Golem of Destruction Number 17: Leviathan Dragon Number 20: Giga Brilliant Leviair the Sea Dragon Temtempo the Percussion Djinn Wind-Up Zenmaines Pros: Hidden Arsenal 7 It was about as consistent as it could be The deck received quite a bit of attention Cons: Round 8 A few people attempting to call this a fluke because Mermail/Evilswarms were not at table 1 I didn't get to play vs. Evilswarms, though they were ALL AROUND me the first three rounds. The format is probably going to get worse. Shout-outs to: Juan "Save_Us" Berenguer Tyler Gallinaro Team EGG: John, Zach, Kevin, Ginger, and Tristen.

  13. Sheffield Regionals

Hello, My name is Shaun Godly (cool last name right) and yet again am using inzektor. Anyways i will take you back to the day before the regionals. I was at my locals fanboy three getting some last minute testing in vs Mattyholt99 Jared, Kane and Tom got a lot of testing vs wind ups that is what i felt most of my match ups would be in Sheffield. I went to the gym before the regionals (As i do every time before a tournament). Ready for the tournament i meet up with my friends Jared, David and Safwan to get the train to Sheffield. Once we get to Sheffield the cue to get in to the event was extremely long after waiting a few minutes we were told people that have pre resisted can go straight in. When we got to the front of the cue my friends Tom and Kane who have been there a good hour before everyone else. Unluckily Jared and Ben didn't pre resisted so they had to wait in line. To cut along story short My friends Tom and Kane got in but Jared got caught trying to push in and was told there wasn't any places left in the regionals (They turned away 40-50 people easy) Anyways after meeting up with old friends from all over i was ready for round one  Round 1 vs Sean Jones (L Dice roll) Wind-Ups Game 1- He opens mag and Shark i had maxx'c to answer he gets rabbit with mag's effect he sets a back row and ends i summon centipede equip lady bug attack the mag he uses rabbits effect to remove so i attack the shark. In MP2 i use lady bugs effect to make centipede lvl 4 and get dragonfly from the deck set tt and set t-roar and pass a very soild first turn. He summons rat and makes a big play when he leaves mp1 i use my set t-roar he passes. From here i just use centipede's effect get hornet summon fly start poping his field with fly and hornet Mp2 i made a leviair steal his mag and he cant recover from there. My game we hit the side decks and thanks to Matt and Wayne everyone is now siding in macro in wind ups  Game 2-  He opens mag and shark and again i have maxx'c to answer (if i remember rightly he was unhappy about me having maxx'c twice in the opening hand but he had mag and shark) he dose the same gets rabbit and sets 2 back row i summon card trooper he chains macro i chain mst i mill 3 lady bug sword and storm. I set 2 copies of rivalry of warlords he summons rat i use one copy of rivalry of warlords he chains mst i chain the other he attacks topper and passes i draw card car d from trooper and then card car for my turn i summon card car draw 2 and end. he just attacks with rabbit and passes. i draw centipede for my turn use his effect equip the lady bug from the grave. He flips overworked to kill it i use my set call to bring it back and attack. Mp2 using centipedes effect to get hornet from my deck set t-roar and pass. He sets a back row and passes i use centipedes effect equip hornet and win from there.  Everyone from my locals won a very good start to the day  Round 2 vs Liam (L dice roll) Mermail   Game 1 - He summons undine dumps dragoons and gets megalo summons it by dumping another dragoons and diva gets sphere sets it in his back row and passes. I open the nuts! and go nuts getting me game 1 Game 2- He sets a monster and a back row and ends i use pot of duailty and grab ladybug summon centipede lady bug make it lvl 4 get dragonfly set tt and warning. He draws flips linde attacks i warning her effect he sets 3 back row (i know at least 2 of them are bluffs). My turn i draw zekcal i use centipedes effect to grab hornet from my deck i equip sword to centipede (in case of TT). I summon fly and start poping his field. He use dark hole to clear my field i add dragonfly back to my hand with zekcal he summons diva gets marksmans attacks summoning dragoons then he makes dewloren and bonces back marksman. I summon fly he flips sphere i chain mst and get back advantage and he cant recover. Winning me the game and making me 2-0  And again everyone from locals (But Safwan won there games)  Round 3 vs Fire kings (L dice roll)  Game 1- Ends quickly with me just going double tk beat down and he dark holes he trys to use tenki i chain call get thunder king and he cant recover  Game 2- Not much to say apart from mid game he went in to his deck box to use his extra deck and there were still cards in there i asked what they were he said side deck cards i asked him to count them out he said ok he counts 17 cards in his side the judge was called over giving him a game lost :/ .   Only me Wayne, Matt,Tom and David are 3-0 i felt bad for the guy but the rules are the rules  Round 4 vs Allan Kennard Mermail (L Dice roll)  Before the game Wayne told me he wouldn't want to be playing vs him and listed all his achievements in the game (tbh i was really glad i was playing a very good player). He was possible the nieces guy i have ever met. He also told me i played him last year with inzektors and i won i honesty couldn't remember anyway on with the match. Game 1- Is a grind game with neither player showing what they are using for like 4 or 5 turns each. (I had 2 troopers set since turn 1 and 2 i had hornet and lady bug in hand so i didn't need to mill. Since i didn't have calls i didn't want to risk milling my inzektors)  the game ends with me chipping away at his field with lady bug giga-mantis and hornet. The grind game finally goes to me Game 2 - He sets one monster and ends i play pot and get 3 d-fissure of the pot play it and set t-roar and end he explodes on the field for the otk i use t-roar and explode back he gorzs me and i end its a every back and forward game one of my favorite of all time but i got the game a combo of d-fissure and call and him topping controller. I was very happy to play against a good player and to beat him with inzektors twice :) and David Matt Tom and Wayne are on 4-0     Round 5 Sam Riding Agents (L dice roll)   I played Sam in liverpool on the bubble and beat him i was hoping to do the same again     Game 1- he summons earth adds venus and sets a back row and passes. I summon tour guide to summon another he flips over treacherous trap hole killing my 2 tour guides. I set 2 back row and end (warning and bottomless) he storms me and otks me  Game 2- Same thing happens as in game one but in my favor now i storm him and otk him. (An eye for an eye) Game 3- Its a massive grind game with me with a face up d-fissure and a full field vs hand of 2 trags gorz and master Hyperions. After we hit time. I no fear it and go all out hoping he doesn't rip it of the top to steal a game that i played prefect and he tops Hyperion with no agents in grave putting me 5-0. Me Matt Wayne Tom and David are all 5-0. I was glad i got to have a rematch with Sam nice guy       Round 6 vs Matt Holt (L dice roll) I have been testing and waring with Matt for months! we know each others decks inside and out so this was going to be a good game. Before the game we shake hands and agree not to let each other take any plays back  Game 1- He started off with rabbit factory and i couldnt stop it getting him mag and shark and the game  Game 2- its a grind game and it goes to me and inzektor exastag and rivalry of warlords  Game 3- Tour guide, Shark and shock master and i know there is no need to go on scooping up   I am glad i lost to matt a fellow Team Smogon Member (well the captain). Even though the game didn't last to long i would prefer to lose to a friend then some one i don't know  Me David and Tom are on 5-1 Wayne is on 6-0 as is Matt. After the round i go to talk to Luke Quinnse and he tells me just to relax and focus and helped me to get my mind back on track i was not going to scrub now after going 5-0  Round 7 vs Tom (L dice roll) Wind ups As the same with Matt i have been testing with Tom for a very long time so we know each others side main and extra deck inside and out. Game 1- he goes double factory and rabbit adding mag and shark. I summon Tk attack set mst and end he dark holes me and otks me  Game 2- This game goes for a good 30 minutes we both use dark hole storm and reborn early in the game so the power cards are gone he has macro up i have rivalry up i was going with beat down with ladybug equipped with sword and giga-mantis in the end its my game with 5 minutes till time we get game 3 under way Game 3- He opens the same as game 1 factory rabbit and adds mag and shark i storm him and use centipedes effect to add dragonfly poping rabbit i equip sword to centipede set deck dev and pass i deck dev almost his full hand and just otk him the turn after :/  I was gutted that i played Tom but it happens i was one win away from topping my 2nd regional in a row Matt was 7-0 David got paired up to Wayne and beat him  Round 8 vs Spellbooks (W dice roll!!!!!!) Game 1- i summon Tk set 2 call and end. He just passes i summon another Tk and attack with both he just shakes his head. He draws its a dark hole he uses it and plays spellbook of secrets i chain call he scoops  Game 2- He opens the NUTS! storm, reborn, secrets, masters, tower and high priestess nothing i can do with my 3 centipedes! Game 3- I summon hornet equip giga-mantis and set deck dev he draws i hit every card in his hand but dark hole. I force him to use his dark hole and when he dark holes it gives me my 3rd dark for dark armed that i have been waiting to drop since turn one Dark armed gets me the match! Me Matt and Wayne all made the top 8 (Matt was the winner) am glad my only lost was to my friend and the winner well done matt!      Deck list:   The only reason i used one warning is because i got dared to by my friend and tbh it was 41 i was looking for a card to drop  Pros- Topping another regionals  Matty Winning Me Wayne and Matt topping 2 regionals in a row Not playing Vs any rabbit Seeing old friends again   Cons- Not winning a dice roll but the last one Playing 2 of my friends Jared not getting in David getting sacked in the last round to stop him topping Getting home very late This was a very large event and very well manged Thanks for reading :) Peace all!
  14. Hi Guys,   Sorry if this combo has been posted here before, but I've never seen it and sorry if this is posted in the wrong section (its only my second ever post). I went through it several times to make sure it was correct and couldn't see anything wrong, but if there is please let me know. Anyway lets get to the combo. You need an hand of Inzektor Dragonfly, Inzektor Hornet and Inzektor Sword. The result will leave you with a field on Gaia Dragoon, the Thunder Charger, Daigusto Phoenix and Number 20:Giga-Brilliant. Doing a total damage of 9400.   Firstly normal summon Inzektor Dragonfly, equiping the Inzektor Sword and activating Inzektor Dragonfly's effect to equip Inzektor Hornet Then activate Inzektor Hornet's effect, destroying the sword, which in turn will activate Inzektor Dragonfly's effect. Add Inzektor Hornet back to your hand, from sword's effect and special summon two Inzektor Centipede's Activate Inzektor Centipede #1 effect, equiping Inzektor Hornet. Activate Inzektor Hornet's effect to destroy Inzektor Dragonfly Search for Inzektor Giga-Mantis from Inzektor Centipede's effect Equip Inzektor Giga-Mantis to Inzektor Centipede #1 and activate Inzektor Centipede #2 effect equiping Inzektor Hornet Activate Inzektor Hornet's effect to destroy Inzektor Giga-Mantis and special summon Inzektor Dragonfly from your graveyard with Inzektor Giga-Mantis effect Search Inzektor Ladybug and Inzektor Sword from Inzektor Centipede #1 and #2's effect Overlay both Inzektor Centipede to XYZ summon Number 20: Giga-Brilliant Next activate Inzektor Dragonfly's effect equiping Inzektor Hornet from graveyard and also equip the Inzektor Sword to Inzektor Dragonfly Activate Inzektor Hornet's effect to destroy the Inzektor Sword and with the Sword's effect add Inzektor Giga-Mantis back to your hand and special summon an Inzektor Ladybug and an Inzektor Centipede from your deck with Inzektor Dragonfly's effect. (So now your field should consist of Number 20: Giga-Brilliant, Inzektor Dragonfly, Inzektor Centipede and Inzektor Ladybug, with Inzektor Dragonfly's effect having been activated). Next you will activate Inzektor Centipede's effect equiping Inzektor Ladybug from your hand. Activate Inzektor Ladybug's effect targeting Inzektor Dragonfly and increasing its level to 5. Equip Inzektor Giga-Mantis from your hand to Inzektor Dragonfly. Activate Inzekor Ladybug's effect equiping Inzektor Hornet from your graveyard. Activate Inzektor Hornet's effect and destroy the Inzektor Giga-Mantis that is equiped to Inzektor Dragonfly. (NOTE: Giga-Mantis effect cannot activate again because its has already been used) Special summon Inzektor Ladybug from your deck with Inzektor Dragonfly's effect. Activate the newly special summoned Inzektor Ladybug's effect, equiping an Inzektor Ladybug from your graveyard and activate its effect targeting Inzektor Centipede and increasing its level to 5. (Now your field consist's of Number 20: Giga-Brillant, Inzektor Dragonfly (level 5), Inzektor Centipede (level 5), Inzektor Ladybug and Inzektor Ladybug). Now overlay the two Inzektor ladybug's to XYZ summon Daigusto Phoenix Overlay the to level 5's (Inzektor Dragonfly and Inzektor Centipede) to XYZ summon summon Inzektor Exa-Stag (NOTE: You can activate Inzektor Exa-Stag's effect to equip your opponents monsters if they have one, thus clearing the field for a direct attack) Next overlay Gaia Dragoon, the Thunder Charger on top off Inzektor Exa-Stag and activate Number 20:Giga-Brilliant's effect increasing all of your monster's attack by 300 and then activate Daigusto Phoenix's effect to allow Gaia Dragoon, the Thunder Charger to attack twice. Finally your field your consist of Number 20: Giga-Brilliant, Gaia Dragoon, the Thunder Charger and Daigusto Phoenix which can in total attack for 9400 Damage. Alternatively instead of overlaying for Giga-Brillant you can overlay for Leviathan Dragon, which in turn will do 9200 damage. Thanks for reading and sorry for the wall of text.

  19. Hi guys. Ever since the new forbidden and limited list had been annouced I really wanted to find a new way to play Inzektors. While I don't feel the deck is dead, I can't see it making a splash on the tournament scene, especially now that it has been made even more inconsistant, however with the decrease in usage of cards like effect veiler and fiendish chain you can never say never until they are banned. So this is my Inzektor Synchro build. Main Deck Monsters (21) 3 Inzektor Centipede 3 Inzektor Ladybug 3 Genex Ally Birdman 2 Maxx "C" 2 Tour Guide from the Underworld 1 Sangan 1 Inzektor Dragonfly 1 Inzektor Hornet 1 Inzektor Giga-Mantis 1 Plaguespreader Zombie 1 Armageddon Knight 1 Dark Grepher 1 Dark Armed Dragon Spells (10) 2 Pot of Duality 2 Mystical Space Typhoon 1 Foolish Burial 1 Creature Swap 1 Allure of Darkness 1 Dark Hole 1 Monster Reborn 1 Heavy Storm Traps (9) 2 Call of the Haunted 2 Torrential Tribute 2 Solemn Warning 1 Solemn Judgment 1 Safe Zone 1 Mirror Force Side Deck (15) 2 Effect Veiler 2 Cyber Dragon 2 Spirit Reaper 3 Messenger of Peace 1 Mystical Space Typhoon 3 Royal Decree 2 Needle Ceiling Extra Deck (15) 2 Leviair the Sea Dragon 1 Number 25: Leviathan Dragon 1 Wind-Up Zenmaines 1 Temtempo the Percussion Djinn 1 Number 20: Giga-Brillant 1 Tiras, the Keeper of Genesis 1 Adreus, the Keeper of Armageddon 1 Locomotion R-Genex 1 Stardust Dragon 1 Scrap Dragon 1 Black Rose Dragon 1 Ancient Fairy Dragon 1 Underground Arachnid 1 Ally of Justice Catastor Please leave a comment on what you think of the deck and any improvement that can be made on it. Thanks
  20. If an Equip Card(s) is sent to your Graveyard while equipped to this card (except during the Damage Step): You can Special Summon 1 "Inzektor" monster from your Deck, except "Inzektor Dragonfly". She provides a solid normal summon when your opponent isn't doing much of anything and is extremely powerful with Call of the Haunted, which is now unlimited. The possibility of drawing essentially three cards per turn and then using the extra to reduce my opponent's resources, thus winning with sheer card advantage was alluring. In order two use Worm Linx effectively, two kinds of support were needed: a sufficient stall and protection engine, and a strong backbone of monsters which could take advantage of my extra cards to win. As one would expect, my first thoughts for those two categories were continuous spell/trap stall cards and the worm archetype. However, apart from Swords, none of the continuous cards could reliably be used against the general field, and even Swords remained a magnet for the multiple s/t destruction cards in the format. The worm archetype didn't work because it was too fragile and didn't have any unfair plays. W Nebula Meteorite was cool, but I didn't think I would get it off consistently enough for it to work, and Xex, Yagan, and Cartaros as a whole are sub par. My next option for stall was the one I am currently using, chainable traps. While typically regarded as bad, in this format they shine. With Mystical Space Typhoon at three, Roar and Waboku will often become one for ones, and in the current degenerate state of the format, a minus one off Roar/Waboku rarely matters, since it means you are living another turn, a turn which you will be able to use to swiftly counter whatever they put on the board. As for what archetype of monsters could work with chainable stall traps as well as turn my extra cards into advantage, the answer was fairly obvious, Inzektors. Since it was introduced, I've found Roar to be absolutely bonkers in Inzektors, letting my Dragonfly/Centipede live another turn and stopping me from getting killed. Even against match-ups where it should be sub par, like Dino Rabbit due to their easy access to Dolkka, it still worked well. Every time I played standard Inzektors, I wanted to fit in more Roars/Waboku, but ultimately they are minus ones and were close to useless when I didn't have an Inzektor combo set up already. However, in this build, that is not a problem. In addition to the Inzektors, you have triple Worm Linx, so your traps will almost always be live, protecting monsters that win you the game when protected. Linx in turn offers an amazing early game and lets me dig through my deck to whatever Inzektor cards I am missing. This deck also takes some inspiration from the ideas Sam Pedigo used and outlined in his tournament report on Alter Reality Games. First, this deck does not play Zektkaliber. As Sam explained, if you resolve a Dragonfly you will normally win, and although you will have to play a few more turns, the space used for Zektakliber is better spent on other stuff. In addition, due to the three Threatening/three Waboku, if you resolve an Inzektor it will almost always stick around till next turn, making Zektkaliber much less necessary. Second, this deck does not play Dark Hole (or Torrential Tribute). This is because most of the time I play those cards, I would have to give up an Inzektor or a Worm Linx in turn making my Wabokus and Threatening Roars worthless, and the monsters that I would destroy with Torrential or Dark Hole could be destroyed by Inzektors. In place of Dark Hole, Sam played Soul Taker due to its synergy with Threatening Roar. That synergy is obviously more applicable to this build than Sam's, but I do not play Soul Taker just because Dolkka is the only monster I am really afraid of, and in my local metagame, for which this deck is constructed, there are very few Rabbit decks, mostly Chaos Dragon and Wind-Up. That, and the fact that I don't yet know what I would cut for Soul Taker(s), is the only reason I am not playing them. Lastly, the decline of Inzektors greatly helps this particular variant because the mirror is unfavorable, but now it has become increasingly uncommon. Well, that's the list. I don't mean to say this is better than standard Inzektors, it definitely isn't, but I like the idea of the deck and is a fun alternative to run at locals.

Hopper beatdown, lol Game 2: He starts 3 sets (judgment, SIM and warning) instant lose with my orange hand... Game 3: I open decent with Dragonfly Ladybug and warning torrential. He storms and set 4 long game after that and drops 3 veilers and Destroy 2 Sim... Result: 2W-1L-2D Round 6 and 7 was Vs Chaos Dragon I won 2-0 each match. Round 8 vs Hero: I won 2-0 and the most relevant play was Summon Hornet equip Hopper mind control on Gorz and make Gaia Dragoon for the win hahaha. Result: 5W-1L-2D Sigh~ 24th in standings. 23. Ah, another regionals in the armpit of the south that is Georgia. Last one was only five months ago. Quality pacing, Konami. But nah, let's get started. The morning kicks off with me waking up, cleaning up, and heading out to go pick up Mookie, who's playing HEROs. [Kezia/Spaceman]. We get at the venue, and it's a cramped ass room behind an amusement park's arcade. =[ To make matters worse, the A/C's broken, so we're all fucking dying. And the amusement park itself doesn't open until 10:30 (oh okay) so we can't buy water to keep ourselves alive or eat the chipotle's I packed. QQ So Mookie and I just resolve to get our R1s over as quick as we can. (oboi) I decide no ph3ar and normal veiler, synch TGU off into Arm, drop BLS, and go for the 8k right there, and it pays off. Sorry =[ G2: I start off really shittily with 2 Centipede/4 Traps, but he plays really passively, so I dig out of it and eventually end up MSTing an Armory Arm equipped to Pede to search Hornet and I just win from there. 1-0 Round 2: Aaron Riker vs. Bubblebeat Dice Roll (1-1) spoiler: I go 1-8 in dice rolls LOL G1: I open pretty mediocre, so I have to play the waiting game for days and I get knocked to 17 while he's still at 80, but I can finally go off, and I get him to 29, and sit on a Zenmaines, thinking I'm safe. He draws to 3, 0 field. Normals Bubbleman, plays Super Poly ditching Miracle. /cry G2: Trooper pressures him and I have CoTH to go ham on him when he warns my Fly. The only play he makes really is Super Polying Zenmaines again (>_>) and dropping me to 54. G3: He opens Stratos four set, and I'm like ;-;. But I summon Trooper, it eats a Warning, and I set CoTH/Dust Tornado and pass. He beats me to 43, and I normal fly, he activates SiM on the summon, I activate effect, he's like "uh, you don't have prio, you can't while shadow imp is up" and I tell him that's not what that means. So I try to DT the Shadow, and he has Bribe. I draw Decree, set it, figure if I live, I'm going to win, but he draws Bubbleman, normals another Alius and hits me for eleventy-quadrillion life points with 2 Blade Armors before I can go nuts. 1-1 Round 3: Aaron Riker vs. Bubblebeat G1: skill drain still too stronk!1 G2: He keeps Prison and Mirror in on me, and I have enough S/T hate to answer him, so I'm just dragging the game out for as long as I can until I get a DaD live and win from there. G3: He STILL has Prisons/Mirror in, but I open TGU/Sangan/Forb Lance/MST/DT/Judgment, so I'm able to beat for a while whereas he can't draw a monster. When he gets down to almost no backrow, he draws E-Call and goes into Strat, and attempts to crash it into a Dragonfly (veiler'd) with a Zektkal equipped. I Forbidden Lance his Stratos, and it's a blowout from there. Nigga was MAD afterwards, not at me, but at his deck, he was furiously piling the cards on the table by slamming them down, and muttering under his breath. Holy shit, it was terrifying, lol. 2-1 Round 4: Aaron Riker vs. Inzektor G1: TROOPERS GET IN THERE FUCKING STRONK. I beat him for 3800 with 2 Troopers, and held a Veiler for a really long time, dropping it when he finally has a play ready for me, so I clean house with Zektkal combr0s. G2: He starts with Fly+Hornet+Sword, but ends on kind of a wimper, with Zenmaines, Hopper, and 3 in hand (he could've easily plussed more) So I go Centipede+Hornet, knock his Zenmaines, search Hornet, he detaches the Fly (YES) and I Reborn his Fly, he attempts to Crow, I just use the in-hand Hornet, and hit his Zektkal on his Hopper, but he gets nothing. He crows my second Hornet, but I still clear his field by going Leviair, bring back Hornet, make Temtempo, clear the other material, swing over his 2 monsters, and leave him with 1 CIH. He tries to come back from there, but it's no contest. He was still a really great guy, and I told him he was probably the best I'd played so far. 3-1 This round, I learn Mookie played the guy I lost to and 2-0s him. I had nothing against the guy himself (dude was mad chill) but it was nice to see myself avenged. Round 5: Aaron Riker vs. Dark World G1: He's a bit of a nervous kid, and he doesn't have a mat, uses Majestic Star Dragon sleeves, so I was assuming newer player. He plays 2 Dealings on me t1, but I don't berate him like I do the entire populace of Duelingnetwork, I just let him dig me cards ahead. He ends with a t1 Grapha and 2 backrow, so I try to Dragonfly him, but SKILL DRAIN SO FUCKING GOOD I end up winning through straight beatdown because I drop a Gorz on a Trance Archfiend that he tried to use under Drain, and I Reborn his Grapha, push with another Fly with Zektkal, and get him to 1k life. Later, he has a set monster, and I summon the same Fly, and CoTH back Gorz and beat over him. G2: He resolves 2 Reckless and draws into the third and GETS SKILL DRAIN ADSFJKL; but I survive, and we're both at 24. I draw, he has Grapha, 1 backrow, and Skill Drain, so I summon DaD, and banish a Dark to pop his FD, he looks puzzled, and then I play Lance. It goes through, and I clear his board, and drop him to 400, setting Reaper (fuck you reaper why weren't you any other monster) He draws for the first turn he's allowed to since he triple reckless'd me, and it's hole. QQ G3: He doesn't get Skill Drain, so all I have to do is strongarm through Crows (ez) and push through his field. I never drop below 6k I think and win with a field of 5 mons. It was neat. 4-1 Round 6: Aaron Riker vs. Inzektor G1: im autistic and lose 2 warning like a moron G2: I START ACTUALLY THINKING. He has to Solemn something early, so I summon a Pede, equip Hornet, beat him to 19, CoTH back Sangan during the BP, drop him to 9, and MP2, kill it for a Zektkal+Veiler search. He summons his own Pede, I Veil, he Zektkals, we crash, he gets a Fly, I get my Pede, leaving me with Troop in hand. He Dualities, gets Torrential, sets it, and only has that + Fly. I'm looking at Trooper/Centipede, so not really worried, but I rip MST like a champ33n and win that turn anyway. G3: He opens some hot garbo, Allures, banishes Crow, sets 2 back, I TGU into Leviathan, beat for 2500, dropping him to 55. He summons Hopper, and out of desperation, equips Zektkal, and tries to suicide, I Lance in the damage step, and he Judgments, leaving me at 8k and him at 2750. Next turn I try to close it up by Trooping and then Cothing something back, but he has the 2nd Crow, so he goes to 850. I have the TT for his next Hopper, and draw Kycoo to his one backrow. He books, I judgment, that's a wrap. Mookie is 5-0 before this point, but loses his first match to Inzektor, but apparently, he was happy that he went undefeated for five rounds and lost to someone who knew what they were doing. Good on him. 5-1 Round 7: Aaron Riker vs. Chain Burn quite possibly the ONLY cool chain burn player I've ever met, or at least one that I didn't want to choke. we get deckchecked for 10 minutes (wtf) and shoot the shit. he's talking to Pheonix Games about setting up some regionals later in the season, and was a funny guy overall. G1: We both pass for like, four turns, and then I go ham with inzektors, get burned for a tiny bit, and I get to EP MST 2 cards, and I just overpower him. G2: I sided in the 3 Decree, but don't see it until I'm at 600. (AND THIRTY CARDS INTO MY DECK) But Inzektor is a retarded deck and I steam through him as hard as I possibly can. I was scared when he secret barrel'd me @ 3200 LP because I had a bajillion cards (13, more accurately) but I didn't know if I was going to last the turn. I force 2 Scarecrow/2 Fader, but he's @ 0 hand/0 field, draws Necrovalley (idk) and scoops it up. 6-1 Round 8: Aaron Riker vs. Mookie Fific [ ] Mookie and I both agree that this was the best fucking round to get paired against each other, but it still kind of sucks. He offers to scoop 'cause he and I just want our invites, and we're both set on that front, so I give him my 2011 Reg Qualifier mat, so we both get mats/invites. At that point, we both dick around to kill time. Game 3, he played me without any mainboard heroes and I played him siding out 3 MST/3 Dragonfly, and good shit was had. 7-1 Top 8 was 4 Inzektor, 1 Bubblebeat, 1 Chaos Dragon, 1 Rabbit, 1 Six Samurai I get paired against Rabbit, and Konami apparently forgot to send in binders, so we're playing for deckboxes, and that's it =/. My opponent basically asks a judge/me if we can go straight to g3 and do 1/1, and I agree because I'm kind of ready to get the hell out because this venue smells like a yu-gi-oh player. G3: He starts with Kaba 3 back, so I go set Hornet, set TT, set Warning. I TT the second Kaba, he Judgments, so I warn the dolkka. I summon TGU, he Chalices, I make Leviathan, swing direct, he Lances, drops Gorz on me, and tops Rabbit. I Veiler'd, and had a live BLS at that point, and could just swing at Rabbit and win, but he has the backrow, and it's the prison that my inzektors don't care about, but apparently can't draw an out to. I survive one last turn with a CoTH play because he doesn't understand how replays work, but only to top Hornet and not the Pede/Fly/TGU that I needed. So I miss out on a deckbox. He was a bit of a penis, but I was just ready to get outta there. I got 3rd or 4th in Swiss, I was told. Mookie went x-2, but an x-2 topped... and it was the guy Mookie beat that I lost to. It was some shit, because Mookie's tiebreakers were x-1 (me) and x-0-1 (his r6 opponent) while the other guy's were x-2 and a dropout. wtf He wasn't too steamed, though, even for getting ninth. Because at this point, we're just gonna try to get the fuck to nats. PROPS: Leviair the motherfucking Sea Dragon Hanging out with Mookie all day Inzektor so stronk Getting to Veiler a Rabbit, if only for a moment X-1 finish Forbidden Lance/DT/Decree putting in work More or less everyone I played was a great person Got a mat Got my invite T8 Getting to break out my holo goat tokens when the Chain Burn player flipped Trio SLOPS: SKILL DRAIN Being retarded and losing 2 Warning when I should've easily seen that coming A/C being broken until like r3/4 YCS Atlanta champion being a bounty duelist and then dissappearing early on. =[ Never siding in Maxx "C" one time Mookie getting 9th when he had better tiebreakers than 8th (he would've replayed his r6 opponent who he really had fun with) Dropping BLS during the T8 only to have him say "OMG FUCKING MAINDECKED BLS WTF" as a bait to let me walk into prison.
