Tourism: The city of Rouen has crossed the ages since Antiquity. The city center is mostly for pedestrians and you will be able to walk between typical Normand houses from the middle age, Renaissance buildings and Haussmann-styled architecture. Discover the oldest French inn still active, the tallest cathedral in France or the Gros-Horloge, a wonderful masterpiece from the Renaissance. The region was also the original scenery of the romantic and impressionist painting. Rouen happened to be the heart of the conflicts between France and England during the Middle Age. During the Hundred Years’ War, Joan of Arc was burnt on the Old Market place. Shopping in Rouen is also quite pleasant as you can discover the boutiques in the city center while enjoying the sight of the old buildings. There is a mall next to the championship site, with a cinema featuring a Dolby sound system. We are also proud to be the french city with the highest rate of pubs by inhabitants. Some of them are specialized into board games so you’ll be able to have a nice drink while playing. The possibilities for fun are endless, either you want to try an escape game or just dance all night long. We wish you a pleasant tournament and a nice journey in our city. Regards, OPS.
