  1. New Zombie Support

    Zombies have recently received new toys and with the current card pool are poised to be a solid deck. Zombies’ star cards imo are zombie world, mezuki, and now drochshuile. The rest are enablers - setting up the abuse of these cards. The warrior engine is better than any of the zombie cards at enabling combos, requires less cards, only needs monster effects, and does not need to search. Therefore, it will be used in this discussion. I have some videos below and there are a lot of potential combos beyond the ones I showcase. You could likely run the variant as an extra link deck, thunder dragon, Crusadia OTK, or a myriad of other things. For example, you could make herald with beast of the pharaoh, then revive arma (with zombie world), send dragondark, and search dragonhawk. The basic combo only requires 1/1.5 cards with Isolde (arma, grepher, vyon) and with two warriors the list of starters could be extended to dawn knight in this build. That will get you Beatrice which will fully enable Drochshuile and allow you to expand your board. In a lot of ways it is built like gouki except that the individual monsters have a lot more utility. The biggest choice when building this deck will be the extra deck space and deciding what combos you want to build for – and whatever the banlist may be. Even without summon sorceress you can field a boss monster beside Drochshuile and with future cards or combos discovered that could be increased – and that’s with only 1 – 2 cards. Zombie world and mezuki have long allowed you to do some pretty crazy things and zombies have always been pretty adaptable - check this out from 2015/2016: The only big concern I have for the deck is going second vs. extra link as with tri-gate there isn’t much the deck can do without siding bar a very lucky hand. Not a huge fan of hand traps unless they are turn stoppers vs. respective decks so I opt to side in a bunch of cybers. I’m going to leave the deck building pretty open as I have not tested the deck much going second. One thing I’m sure of is run phoenix as most decks seem to run few backrow cards that you could likely out first on most hands. Also, I run double of the zombie world stuff as it is important for the boss and combos, while also having anti-meta properties against a number of decks (and rivalry!). It is often a priority for the opponent to get rid of or disrupt during your turn. While you’ll generally want to summon Drochshuile going second do to the banish effect I’m only running one as that is all you need. There’ll be times where you draw bulb going second where you’d want to summon Drochshuile, but those would be a low amount of games. One card you may not be aware of is: This card allows you to get two extra uses out of mali and is a great extender for synchro/xyz plays. Most of these combos are tcg/ocg internet format as I live in tcg territory, but I did include one ocg combo and there are many more. I didn’t record it but there is a zexal combo for ocg players. Here’s some examples of the fields you could make – naturia monsters, calamity synchro, fun stuff. The deck is potent even going second and against hand traps. I recorded some duels and even though I don’t play around hand traps well I’m still able to plow through. In practice I’m not sure if I would use Isolde’s first effect, depends how popular ogre or if it would end your turn. The weak point for the deck is when you attempt to send bulb on your opponent's turn, but once we get savage dragon the soulkius build should be able to be built to be robust to handtraps at any point.

The warrior engine is a crucial component of this deck. They allow you to set-up or out backrow/threats before making your plays. Through plague they you can make them 6’s to combo with. The other component is the fiend engine. Soulkius is a lvl 6 and allows you to dump monsters into the grave. He is also 2200 which means he can run over Kirin and crash with Dark Lady. Brilliant fusion acts as another discard outlet, a way to summon multiple monsters/tribute summon, and most importantly the ability to use Il Blud. Fiendish rhino is more copies of whatever you need. He can dump bas or Soulkius. The discard spells work well here. They set-up your grave or trigger removal effects without making a play. They greatly increase what you can do in a turn. In case you’re worried they’ll give your opponent some great advantage, they won’t. You will generally discard any multiples with Soulkius anyway. They also give you an advantage. G1 you know what your opponent is playing if you go first. I’m not sure about the best extra for this. I like triple Beatrice, but question if it is necessary. I don’t like void ogre here because you can’t always empty your hand and against monarchs I am not confident it does much, especially if you use discard spells. You have a lot of side options. For graveyard hate you can side forbidden graveyard, if + norden + extra dweller, and possibly actually use dark law for his effect. If my opponent is playing a combo deck and I think he’ll leave his hand with less than two I might side this in over hand destruction. It makes your warriors 6’s and dumps a monster in the grave. Also, it is the only way to permanently out a Kirin – after you baited it of course. For monarchs you have zombie world. It is good because you can play it going second and not worry about ether. It also makes you mezukis live with anything. You can also side in grave traps like mischief of the gnomes, breakthrough skill, or rise to full height. Rise to full height is cool because you can keep looping it with omega and your opponent will never get to attack you. You can also side in more ba’s and tackle crusader. Tackle crusader can act as a second farfa during your opponent’s turn. I use to run resonators because they turn your 4’s into 6’s, but I don’t think they’re very good. They’re very weak to negation and kinda of nullify the warriors ability to bait stuff when your opponent can just use their responses on the tuners. I don't think there is much I can side for ba besides gnomes. Zephyros helps make dweller and lvl8. Alich is better than farfa against monarchs but I want double farfa vs. ba. I decided to run more big zombies to make setup easier and dropped dire wolf and r4 stuff. I'm running zephyros solely for dweller, but it can be used with uni to make lvl 8 or just as tribute fodder. I'm running alich instead of double farfa as it is better vs. monarchs, although farfa is better vs. ba so I'm siding a second. F0 is needed to unclog your field and is good vs. Kozmo and ba. Exa is good to out beatrice or kozmo town as it sends and not destroys. It can also attach cyber dragon after siding to contact fuse from the s/t zone. It is also a non-number for f0. Another update: http://i.imgur.com/DfmhmqO.jpg I decided that the dark engine was very fragile going second and I wanted to have a chance to play going second. The dododo stuff has good support and just having a spell that discards is a huge boon to the deck as most stuff wants to be in the graveyard. I've cut some stuff to 2 because they suck in multiples and clog with combinations of cards. I never find myself losing because of running out of mezuki as generally if you lose you lose before you ever get to that point. You just got to play with it in mind. You need to side heavy when going second. Prohibition is a great card which can turn off either and you can preemptively use it against kozmo to prevent dd/dark lady from activating (a dark lady summoned in response to it should still be able to activate). You really need cards which will allow you to play going second and Prohibition does that vs. certain decks.

You have a few monsters which you aim to synchro up into: Abyss, warrior, omega. And someday crystal clear wing. The deck has a very interesting card that is the main combo piece:   Beast of the Pharaoh   Earth/Zombie/3   If this card is sent to the Graveyard for a Synchro Summon, you can Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower Zombie-Type monster from your Graveyard.     One of the first things that might come to mind is that combined with zombie world you can revive any of your combo pieces; norden, lvl 1 tuners, etc. That is huge. It also works very well in the synchro latter. If you go red resonator + this into accel you can then either go into black rose or stardust warrior. Just like dandy you can chain black rose to beast of the pharaoh to wipe the board and continue on. He also protects librarian from ghost ogre as you will always chain him to librarians effect.      You run a few cards to help you utilize your combo pieces: dwd, hand destruction, reasoning. Beast of the Pharaoh and mezuki allow you to utilize any zombies you dump and the other cards don't mind being in the grave either. Even red resonator can be put back into play thanks to synkron resonator. For example if you pitch a uni and do the black rose play you can ss uni, send mezuki, and ss beast to continue on. At worst you could make afd, use the effect, skip your bp, and make a big field since you will skip it unless you have zombie world due to uni's restriction. Zombie world also allows you to ss back your synchros including beast, abyss, warrior so even if your opponent outs them you can put them back into play with a little luck. Also helps against majespecter.   I'm siding a few synchros to deal with my opponents outs/deck.  Scrap dragon is really cool going second as you can make hastur first, synchro into scrap, pop hastur and something, and steal their monster. Since this deck doesn't rely solely on mezuki it can make scrap to out iron wall also. I also like magical spring but even though you can use it to stop insight/sky iris/cone/slayer it isn't what I want going first so I think it is better sided when I expect to go second or perhaps just sided as a lone copy.
  4. Zombies

    Zombies have always been a fun deck to play. I know a few of you have an interest in zombies and I would like to have a place to discuss them. Zombies can spam the field and have access to a powerful toolbox. They’ve become more playable with the hits to shaddoll and nekroz. They actually seem pretty strong right now against Kozmo and Majespecter. Kozmo have a hard time dealing with beelze and have major trouble with the raid raptor trap and future monarch trap.  Majespecter generally aren't difficult to beat with a turbo variant and you have some powerful themed side cards like zombie world or strike of the monarchs. PEPE runs very little traps right now which is favorable for this deck. Also, outside of Pleiades the deck has no main deck'd way of stopping omega and readiness looping and since it won't be enough if you establish the loop you should win.     Main Options: Discard engine: Hand Destruction, Dark World Dealings, Shuffle Reborn I recommend running some if not all of these cards in zombies simply because they allow you to set-up your plays without using your ns and allows you to dig through your deck. Shuffle reborn helps increase your maximum number of plays while also giving you a draw if you discard it because it is dead. Most times you will send back chicken game or a dead bamboo sword. Although these cards help your opponent sculpt their hand too, Omega will rip cards out their hand. It obviously helps both player see limited and power cards although in a turbo deck you can often end with around 10 cards in your deck giving you the upper hand in that regard. In particular, Deck Devastation Virus is looking really good for now and our potential upcoming format. Also keep in mind master key beetle is easy to make if you choose to run floods.   Monarch engine: Pantheism of the Monarchs, The Prime Monarch, Tenacity of the Monarchs, Dominion of the Legendary Monarch, Erebus the Underworld Monarch You can run these in any amount and can easily run trade-in as Erebus can continually add himself back. While trade-in works well it can lead to initial bricks and is prone to disruption you will often need to resolve an arma/uni to get Erebus into play. If you run under 3 of the trap you can’t guarantee getting it off of pantheism although. Erebus can add back DAD, Majesty’s Fiend, and Dark Sigmorgh. You can drop DAD turn after turn and if you main him I’d consider running arma + rota. He can help to otk if you go second and works wonders vs. backrow and slower decks. You can also tribute summon Erebus repeatedly if need be (non-targeting, non-destroying removal). The field spell allows you a higher chance of making pantheism live when combined with chicken game and lets you easily summon Erebus. The wikia currently says that Erebus sends from the deck as a cost which makes him great for setting up the monarch engine. The trap card also provides some amount of defense as it can be summoned on the opponent’s turn and can wall a few things. Don’t forget potentially looping pantheism with omega either. Example: http://i.imgur.com/PFZ6l0Y.jpg   Chicken Game engine: Chicken Game, Terraforming, Pseudo Space                Reasoning + Pseudo Spaces                Ghostrick Angel of Mischief + ghostrick field (to reach the field spell engine with afd) This engine is easily incorporated into most builds and can even allow you to play an ftk variant (Blaze Fenix) if you like.   Bamboo engine: Cursed Bamboo Sword, Golden Bamboo Sword, Broken Bamboo Sword, Hidden Armory This engine seems to either get you through your entire deck or brick. Hidden armory helps to reduce bricks but can be ineffective when going first. If you were to run hidden armory I would run discard cards, which can trigger cursed, and reasoning.   Plant engine: Dandy, Bulb, Spore, Lonefire Both plants and zombies like being in the graveyard. Plants also help make omega and have some explosive plays. They also give access to naturia monsters and stardust warrior. This got hurt a lot with the limitation of math and rota (spell striker into melaie). Example: http://i.imgur.com/m357MjT.jpg   Destiney Hero engine: Malicious, Shadow Mist, Plasma, Destiny Draw, Mask Change, A Hero Lives This variant pumps out Omegas and has access to other potent bosses. Omega and Darklaw t1 can really hinder your opponent and make them effectively start with under 6 cards. Darklaw can also be triggered on your turn when you play the discard cards to further cripple them. Plasma is nasty to drop when you are going second as having a 3k+ skill drain hurts most decks. If you want to make a really turbo variant consider playing two mali (can stack the other with plague) as you will often draw into multiples. Lots of ways to build this variant.   Shaddoll engine: Dragon, Beast, Fusion, Winda, Shek I would consider siding this in turbo variants. Fusion will help you otk easier going second and the monsters work with the discard cards.   Winged-beast engine: Zephyros, Steam the Cloak, Singing Lanius, Mimicry Lanius, Raidraptor - Readiness Steam is another tuner that ss itself from the grave although it will only work with other blackwing cards unless you are using it for a xyz (leviair or r4 due to uni eff). Zephyros works really well with game as it provides a free body and an extra use of game. It can generally replace malicious for non-hero builds as it helps make 2-3 omega first turn. The raid raptor cards help with xyz plays. Mimicry can make itself level five, opening up r5 and helps to make more omegas. Singing works well to increase your opening turn plays. The biggest contribution is readiness although. Combined with Omega it prevents you from dying which is a problem vs. many aggressive decks. Without it sometimes you are forced to let your omegas die just to play next turn.       Techs: Jewels of the Valiant E-tele + Ghost Ogre Level Eater Reasoning       Side Options: For Monsters: Viruses Deck Lockdown/Mistake Stygian Dirge Mischief of the Gnomes (Loop with omega) Strike of the Monarchs (Loop with omega) Zombie World Lose 1 Turn (Omega allows you to activate it after the fact) For Spells: Anti-spell Fragrance (Can combine with Dark Simorgh) Spell Canceller (Can combine with zombie world) Magical Spring (Prevent important pendulum plays) For Traps: Twin Twister Storm (Mainly if using bamboo, but will work with either) Anti-Magic arrows Jinzo (Can combine with zombie world) Royal Decree Dark Simorgh (Can add back with Erebus) Release Restraint Wave (Bamboo variant)       All these engines are good but keep in mind that the Chicken Game and A Hero Lives will drain a lot of your lifepoints leaving you very vulnerable to getting otk’d. You’ll need to have a good defense if you choose to run these cards. I like to run zombies in turbo form with little traps. The deck cannot function without uni and even with just chicken race your odds of opening uni are not high. And if uni is negated or remvoed before he can use his effect your probably sunk. I’d rather turbo through my deck and set-up quickly than wait behind a wall of traps and attempt to do it over several turns. Zombies can have a high ceiling and be resilient to backrow in this manner and ultimately zombies are a combo deck. They can also run a lot of floodgates.   Here is a conglomerate build: [url]http://i.imgur.com/oABFiSW.jpg[/url] The raid-raptor trap allows you to live forever... Almost. It is easy to set-up and then you keep looping it with omega, clearing your opponent's field, and poking for damage. The trap dodges dweller and rhapsody meaning the only thing you fear are trap cards removing your omegas. It is almost impossible to lose to monster heavy decks (Mermails). If you do it is due to bricking or poor planning and decking out on your part.   I’ll also link to the old quasar build: http://duelistgroundz.com/index.php?showtopic=166354 Keep in mind that now you can go for omega and later do the baxia and quasar stuff.     On another note, you can use the monarch cards with just plague. The trap lets you make 1 card lvl 7’s without your normal and you generally only need to make omegas t1 (mali, zephyros). Make sure you have enough ways to cause your deck to shuffle although or you could find yourself not drawing anything. Running enough spells cards like terraforming can prevent this for a few turns. He is good for a defensive r4 and isn't once per turn.

        So this deck is still in the works with heavy testing, I suppose it's not really zombies just more abuses a very strong floater engine. It's a very fun deck, Uni constantly floats, the white/ black dragons do their things, math man is the best T1 normal followed by uni, Mali and plague do their thing, necroface recycles mezuki, black dragon, white dragon. Miracle dig and Necroface are constantly switching their ratio's both have their ups and downs. The side deck is the epitome of "Kill them first" with twisters also used to deal with the flood gates this deck cannot deal with at all. This deck has some retarded set up's, Emptiness is very silly, anyone who has played a dark deck before can pick this shit up rather quickly and understand the concepts. Uni Zombie is enough of a discard outlet for mali for those wondering. I can't wait for Unizombie as that card will bring Zombies back on the map. It might not be a major contender, but it would bring it back to at least rogue tier, I think. Anyway, about the deck: I added Raiza and Mind Crush (together with PWWB) to slow the opponent down, and also to snipe down key cards from their hand while also taking a peek at it, and it's been working quite fine. I'm not sure about the Instant Fusions; they work great, and access to Librarian is amazing, but the extra deck space is very tight and sometimes I want to have access to certain cards that I ended up not playing due to the small space. The single Necroface is to recycle Mezuki's en Maliciouses, sending that last Malicious to the grave and the 2 banished Malicious back to the deck gives me instant access to 2 Malicious special summons. I'm also looking for good rank 6 to go to with Raiza and Malicious if that should occur, but then again… space… Let me know what you think, give me some ideas please as I'm really trying to get zombies back working again.

    Introduct​ion: To start off, i didn't really much potential in the zombie archetype beyond the mediocre ability to make rank 4s and Lv6 synchros.  Another aspect I never liked about the deck is, when I seen people play it (at my locals, and on DN)   they would use the lightsworn(LS) engine in it.  Which in my opinion has never been the best idea, any deck that relies on the LS to mill for them seems really inconsistent imo, especially since the LS don't have the same synergy with zombies as they do with Chaos Dragons.   Recently I have been playing infernities, and that was when I looked at the zombie archetype and saw potential, basically I realized the deck didn't have to play LS, and you can abuse Lavalval Chain and cards like Armageddon Knight and  Dark Grepher.   If you add in Destiny Hero Malicious you get a total of 9 cards that are live in the grave.    So i started testing. . .  Decklist: Main Deck Monsters: 3 Zombie Master 3 Mezuki 3 Goblin Zombie 1 Dark Grepher 2 Armageddon Knight 3 Destiny HERO - Malicious 3 Plaguespreader Zombie Spells: 1 Allure of Darkness 1 Reinforcement of the Army 1 Foolish Burial 1 Book of Life 3 Mystical Space Typhoon Traps: 1 Compulsory Evacuation Device 1 Bottomless Trap Hole 1 Torrential Tribute 1 Solemn Warning 1 Mirror Force 1 Trap Stun 3 Raigeki Break 3 Call of the Haunted 3 Fiendish Chain   Extra Deck 1 Photon Strike Bounzer 1 Gauntlet Launcher 2 Lavalval Chain 1 Abyss Dweller 1 Gagaga Cowboy 1 Maestroke the Symphony Djinn 1 Void Ogre Dragon 1 Crimson Blader 1 Stardust Spark Dragon 1 Stardust Dragon 1 Scrap Dragon 2 Vulcan the Divine   Side Deck 1 Book of Life 3 Zombie World 1 Trap Stun   2 Dust Tarnado 2 Overworked 3 Black Horn of Heaven 3 Light-Imprisoning Mirror Card Choices: Zombie Master:  He is really good for getting Mali/Mezuki/Plague out of the hand, as well as using him to make Lavalval Chain and Vulcan the Divine.   Goblin Zombie:  When I first read this card I was like "Wow hes a freaking Zombie Sangan!", Goblin Zombie is the decks search and normal first turn play, as well as having synergy with CoTH, as you can chain CoTH to MST get back Goblin Zombie and search. (Also a neat thing to do with Armageddon Knight.)   Raigeki Break:  Really good spot removal, acts as a psuedo MST.   Normally you will discard a monster like Mali/Mezuki/Plague that is live in grave, or you will set up your grave for Zombie Master/CoTH plays.   Call of the Haunted(CoTH):   After you begin to establish a graveyard this card can become very explosive, as well as having synergy with Armageddon Knight, Goblin Zombie and Vulcan the Divine.   Fiendish Chain:   A good generic trap card, Also has synergy with Vulcan the Divine much like CoTH.   Vulcan the Divine: In my opinion Vulcan or Void Ogre Dragon  is basically this decks boss monster.  In reality Vulcan is probably the best legal generic level 6 synchro.  Vulcan's effect gets rid of most threatening monsters as well as lets you recycle cards like Fiendish Chain and CoTH, or just putting a card in your hand for plague(giving you a level 8 synchro play). Void Orge Dragon:   This deck makes this guy and the other level 8 synchros with plaguespreader and Vulcan or Mali.   Since we lose hand advantage rather quickly when you go off, because of Zombie Master, Dark Grepher and Plaquespreader, Void Ogre becomes really easy to set up.  A lot of times you can even end turn with fields like: Void Orge, Stardust Dragon, Strike Bouncer Cards I have considered:   Blackwing Zephyrus:  I really loved the idea of it, but in the end I never liked seeing him in my hand or found myself in a position where I wanted to send him to grave from deck, more than i wanted to send Mali/Mezuki/Plague.   Summoner Monk:  I got the idea to make this deck, from playing Infernity.  Well i found out rather quickly that Monk wasn't as good in this deck.   Instant Fusion:  Basically the same scenario as above, tested it and I end up wanting the extra deck space much more than I wanted to see a live instant fusion. Phoenix Wind Wing Blast:  Been considering over Regeki Breaks,  I really like both, but sometimes you don't want to put thing on top your opponents deck. Upstart Goblin:  Thinking add Upstarts and ditch some traps? not sure how I feel about it yet. Cards I really want to test:   Zombie World:  I'm pretty sure most people agree that Zombie World has always been the subpar option compared to DNA Surgery as a side card, but what about in a Zombie deck?  It'll definitely provide more options while acting as a flood gate.   Book of Life:  A monster reborn and a spelll speed 1 D.D. Crow in one, I feel like it's worth testing, you can hit things like Redox, Tidal, Infernity Archfiend, Wolfbark target.   Conclusion: My side deck is basically completely untested, I've mostly been testing game 1s.  I'm open to all suggestions and opinions, I honestly feel like this archetype has the potential to compete with meta and just need more attention to come up with a good list.

I've been playing this for 6 months and have been continuously changing it to adapt against the metagame. For the time being in the TCG, I play Burial from a DD (Dragon's Mirror) Master Key Beetle, Scrap Dragon, Abyss Dweller, and Blackship as replacements.   Cards Options and Ratios   3 Lightpulsar: Boss monster, Key player in rank 6 plays with Malicious and level 8 synchro plays with Plaguespreader 2 Veiler, 2 BTS: I'm not very fond of using this type of ratio but Lavalval Chain dumps can open up many plays with BTS against anti-meta cards 3 Lyla, 3 MST: Zombies are a very agressive deck and needs some protection from backrow, Lyla can setup grave. 2 Phoenix Wing Wind Blast: I anted to make effective use of Mezukis, Plaguespreader, and Malicious in hand without entirely relying on Zombie Master. It's also very good against the meta 0 Chaos Dragon Minis and Raiden: A common denom for Zombies but I found the rank 4 engine already had enough speed to promote plays and the level 6/PSZ enine was already effective for making level 8 synchros.   LOOKING FOR CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM. GoGoGo Ghost get's its effect when special summoned from anywhere. That means Leviair and Pyramid Turtle both give it the ability to summon Golem from the graveyard.    A lot of people might be wondering why there is a lack of hand traps and mill power. Overall, there isn't room to put in cards like Gorz/Veiler/Maxx C. I tried to fit Gorz in but it adds inconsistency with triple Call of the Haunted, and Tragoedia isn't that good in this deck since it normally came out with 1200-1800 and served little to no purpose. The Lightsworn engine was originally in here and Dark Armed Dragon was a BLS. Sadly it didn't do much for the deck and room had to be made for other stuff. It is easy to get GoGoGo Golem/Mezuki into the graveyard with cards like Card Trooper and Zombie Master, and GoGoGo can serve as a stand-alone card sometime. Mezuki can also slam against a boosted Bear or Kabazauls, so even if they waste a Lance or something, it still served as a strong 1-for-1.    So let me know how you feel about the deck, still playing around with it in my spare time.     Above is a Zombie Deck that was initially for a competitiion on Dueling Network Forums. I was fortunate enough to win there first and only Deck Competition thus far: http://forum.dueling...12/page__st__50 The theme of the deck was Halloween surrounding around Vampire Genesis and Zombie Master. Since then I made a few fixes. This is the most fun deck I've had the pleasure of playing regardless if I won or lost. I even won a DN Live with it (Not to brag, but I might be the only one in a DN tournament with 0 games lost using a Non-Meta Deck http://forum.dueling...nner-team-wave/ Final Match was vs Macro Rabbit) To get to the point of this thread I wanted to know your thoughts on the build. Is it competitive in your own opinion ? Keep in mind, I'm not naive. Playing on DN and playing in actuality or major events like a YCS is very different so I'm aware of that. CARD EXPLANATIONS: 2x Endless Decay - is the Boss Monster of the Deck. Great for comebacks when you have 2000 LP or less. Can also combo with Zombie Life and go for a Rank 5 OR if your opponent has 8000 LP, use 2 of them for 4000 beater each. At the same time, can be a dead draw early game unless you have Allure of Darkness or pitch for Zombie Master. 1x Ryko - People are siding Noblemans so playing 2-3 didn't make sense to me. Also I run 3 lyla's so you don't want to mill everything 3x Lyla - Self explanatory. Gets Rid of backrows, mills, Level 4 for Rank 4 xyz, Light for BLS & Honest 2x Zombie Masters - Good at 2 2x Paladin - Has become My favorite zombie card and not played in many zombie decks . This is the main 1900 Level 4 zombie beater of the deck. It's so good when you combo it with Pyramid Turtle and then hit them with Honest. Caught soooo many people off guard with that combo, especially late game. Also light in grave for BLS or can crash into Thunder King if the need arises. 3x Pyramid Turtle - Luv this card, main engine of the deck along with Endless Decay. Combo this with Decree, self kill with opponents Monster while they have 8000 LP and bring out Endless Decay for a 4000 beater. Rarely any cards in the meta can get over that or if they do, alot of resources would have to be used 3x Boof of Life - Might cut this down to 2, not sure yet. But if you're maining the Zombie Field spell then you should definitely run 3 3x Royal Decree - a MUST in the main. Stops Macro Rabbits, Gravekeepers, and any heavy trap decks like worms. Had my friend get mad at me when he was playing gravekeepers cuz his traps were useless. Everything else is self explanatory like the tragoedias to stop OTK's. Maxx C draw into Tragoedia against say Wind-Ups, Tragoedia becomes too big to overcome. Prior to this build I had 2 veilers and 1 maxx mained, then changed it up because this format Maxx C is more effective but that's your preference. Extra Deck - I had a Catastor instead of a Temtempo before so I changed that up. Shockmaster is fairly easy to make with Zombie Master and Book of Life. Dweller a must, Tiras for Rank 5 with Endless. 50/50 on Adreus cuz I rarely make him might go with Rank 5 Ninja instead. Siding - That's obviously player preference but it was very difficult for me to side against merlanteans and dark worlds. That's because I need the grave as much as them so I sided 2 Dimensional Fissures and 2 Debunks (preferred Soul Drain but it would conflict way too much with Pyramid Turtle, Sangan, Mezuki, etc.) Dimensional Fissure hurts the deck somewhat but you have to side it against Mermails or you'll have a difficult time. Had Nobleman of Crossouts also in the side, they were huge in achieving wins during the DN Live. EDIT : forgot to mention, you obviously side the 2 MST's Again, interested in hearing your thoughts.

If you think about it, the field card is actually pretty solid this format, as it makes it so Dolkka/Laggia, or any other type specific XYZs cannot hit the board. It also stops Hieratics from tributing and trades field space with Dark World, and the somehow surviving GK. With this in mind I wanted to try to make a solid deck using it, and hell with XYZs even Paladin is viable now as it can net you xyzs. I also like grabbing big beaters with Doomkaiser and even possibly going for a lv 6 xyz. Oh and I also like how Book of Life removes Inzektor targets. Not saying this deck is anymore then something fun but I guess you can consider it somewhat viable?
