I've actually been thinking about sneaking in 2-3 Tec Edges. It seems a bit greedy but I think I can cut down on red sources, especially if I drop the Inferno Titan for another Grave Titan.

I've been doing really great in testing against everything except for white decks that board in Leyline and/or Luminarch Ascension, so I might be fitting a couple more Ratchet Bombs or Into the Roils in the side, too.

Been testing G/W Quest. It's pretty good.

Expound on what you mean? Examples of what G you added in addition to standrd Quest builds.

It's basically w quest with vengevines, fauna shamans, birds and sideboard options. It takes a little bit from your early combo but gives you much more mid game/late game options. Also a much better matchup vs control because of the green addition, since you don't just crumple to a removal spell or sweeper.

I'm most likely going to the Star City Open in Indy this weekend, if anyone is going and/or wants to help me test on mws hit me up on aim.

The two decks I've liked in testing so far (listed below) have been working pretty well. Boros is the early favorite for me right now, it's been very fast and consistent. The new sword is awesome, especially with Spikeshot Elder (ping them for three, attack for three, untap your lands, ping them for three again). The only match-up I've had any trouble at all with so far has been Valakut, which is just really hard to race against sometimes, but post-board it gets a lot better (the Refraction Traps are new additions because Slagstorm and Pyroclasm can be such a blowout when you're trying to race). In UB the Black Zenith is absolutely retarded, probably the best card in Besieged for standard; it takes care of everything. My friends and I have also brewed up a couple of new lists with a lot of potential. One is ub control that efficiently runs the new Tezzeret and Inkmoth Nexus (a 1/1 Inkmoth is already awesome, when it becomes a 5/5 Inkmoth it gets ridiculous) with some other cool stuff like Sphere of the Suns and Contagion Clasp. The other list is a GW aggro deck that runs Lead the Stampede, which I haven't tested yet but looks much more consistent than Quest builds.

4 Goblin Guide

4 Squadron Hawk

4 Steppe Lynx

4 Stoneforge Mystic

3 Cunning Sparkmage

3 Spikeshot Elder

2 Kor Skyfisher

4 Lightning Bolt

2 Burst Lightning

2 Journey to Nowhere

1 Adventuring Gear

1 Basilisk Collar

1 Sword of Body and Mind

1 Sword of Feast and Famine

4 Arid Mesa

4 Marsh Flats

4 Mountain

4 Plains

4 Scalding Tarn

4 Teetering Peaks

4 Luminarch Ascension

4 Mark of Mutiny

3 Refraction Trap

2 Journey to Nowhere

2 Koth of the Hammer

3 Grave Titan

2 Abyssal Persecutor

4 Jace the Mind Sculptor

2 Jace Beleren

4 Go for the Throat

4 Mana Leak

4 Preordain

4 Spreading Seas

3 Black Sun's Zenith

3 Inquisition of Kozilek

1 Duress

1 Stoic Rebuttal

4 Creeping Tar Pit

4 Darkslick Shores

4 Drowned Catacombs

4 Island

4 Tectonic Edge

3 Swamp

1 Misty Rainforest

1 Verdant Catacombs

3 Duress

3 Memoricide

2 Disfigure

2 Into the Roil

2 Negate

2 Skinrender

1 Liliana Vess

I've been trying a little to work on something like that, so I'd be interested to see what you guys came up with.

EDIT: Decklist removed for being 70 cards.

----------

@Boros Deck: Why no Plated Geopede?

I would rather see more Adventuring Gear than Teetering Peaks.

Even with more Adventuring Gear you can probably get away with only 3 Stoneforge Mystic as there aren't many targets, and three still lets you draw it early game. You can also probably get away with playing only 3 or even 2 Spikeshot Elder.

I don't think you need to main Cunning Sparkmage and Basilisk Collar. They are more useful against creature decks but the tops decks in terms of usage are: Valakut, UB, UW and Rug.

Why Luminarch Ascension? wouldn't you rather have Goblin Ruinblaster?

I also think it might be better to main Journey to Nowhere for big creature removal over Burst Lightning and side Arc Trail to get some value against weenie decks.

that's 70 cards.

Yeah, the creature lineup is pretty tough. I've been trying out Persecutor, which is better now with Go for the Throat, and it's been working pretty well so far. I'm beginning to think it's a better option than Sea Gate Oracle, which has been nothing more than an expensive Preordain against non-aggro and not even that great in those matchups anyway. Persecutor has been especially good against Valakut, they don't have any way to deal with it and it clocks them pretty quickly.

I've pretty much limited my options to UB, Eldrazi ramp, and Valakut. Boros and Vampires are out, I've tried pretty much every possible build of each and it's too hard to win when over half the decks you play against have a good wrath effect now (Day, Black Zenith, and Slagstorm). Dredgevine is a great underground pick, I think it's the best aggro deck right now, but still not good enough against Valakut for me. UW is solid but just seems like a weaker version of UB to me.

Updated my lists with the changes I made after today's testing in the previous post.

@Gnation: UB list looks solid. Just a couple of things I'd like to note.

Being an instant allows Consume the Meek to retain some useful. It getting rid of an army of man-lands, specially Inkmoth Nexus. It also allows you to get rid of an extra creature if you have mana up on your opponets turn.

As far as black Planewalkers go, I think Sorin Markov may be better Liliana Vess as another win condition.

The problem with Consume the Meek is that it doesn't kill Titans, Vengevine, Thruns, etc. The Liliana is really just filler that will end up being something helpful for more difficult matchups.

Just made a new list I'm going to test starting tomorrow. I'm definitely not sure on all the numbers yet but it looks pretty hot on paper to me:

4 Overgrown Battlement

4 Primeval Titan

3 Avenger of Zendikar

1 Emrakul, the Aeons Torn

1 Joraga Treespeaker

1 Kozilek, Butcher of Truths

1 Ulamog the Infinite Gyre

4 Summoning Trap

3 Explore

3 Everflowing Chalice

3 Green Sun's Zenith

3 Growth Spasm

2 All is Dust

8 Forest

4 Eldrazi Temple

4 Inkmoth Nexus

4 Khalni Garden

4 Tectonic Edge

1 Eye of Ugin

1 Mystifying Maze

1 Verdant Catacombs

4 Acidic Slime

4 Ratchet Bomb

3 Obstinate Baloth

2 Contagion Engine

1 Grazing Gladeheart

1 Terastadon

How does that deck trigger Quest, draw Hawk every game? Emerge Unscathed seems like pretty hot tech, though, my friend suggested it to me the other day but I had already forgotten about it.

Made some changes to the new deck already, it tested really well against Valakut and UW control but Goblins and Boros didn't go so well at first so I added a Baloth to the main to fetch with Zenith and am now siding Ratchet Bombs, made things a lot better.

Lands: 26

4 Celestial Colonnade

4 Seachrome Coast

4 Glacial Fortress

1 Scalding Tarn

1 Marsh Flats

4 Island

4 Plains

4 Tectonic Edge

Spells: 34

4 Jace, the Mind Sculptor

2 White Sun's Zenith

3 Gideon Jura

4 Spell Pierce

1 Cancel

1 Phyrexian Rebirth

4 Preordain

1 Stoic Rebuttal

2 Jace Beleren

1 Elspeth Tirel

1 Condemn

Trying out the 3 one-ofs (Elspeth, Rebirth, Condemn) to see which I like. Zenith is a house. Also need to do some number tuning, I don't think Seas/Preordain should be 4-of's in here, and I'm going to drop Gideon to 2 as he seems lackluster right now. The only thing to do now is find cards to add.

So I am starting out from yugi to give a backround. What do you guys think of U/W Knights is standard? I wanted to make it mono white but everyone is telling me that makes it vulnerable and to me blue seemed like the best thing to pair it with. Plus Cryptoplasm seems ill primarily to become knight exemplar # 5-8.

Making a tier one deck in standard right now, your deck has to meet one of these requirements:

-Can it race Valakut?

-Can it completely control Valakut?

-Is it Valakut?

If you didn't answer yes to one of those questions, your deck won't be playable for more than anything but fnms. Knights is a fun deck (I've played it a little bit in extended for fun), but because of Valakut and much faster aggro decks it isn't viable right now.
