This JUST came on my Media Player:

And this is awesome when you're working on something and having it in the background:

Wanna see how much VG stuff I got? :)

FFVIII one really added that feel of familiarity to it. It was elegant. The FF series has a characteristic I love of adapting themes and music to later renditions to fit both bills, both the overall fantasy appeal of the past and the specific story of the present. I see it in all FFs, and am grateful they treat the quality on the same par as reoccurring themes, ideas, characters, elements, items, etc. They'll always be back, but not always quite the same.

Reminds me of how nostalgic the trip through I Wanna Be the Guy: The Movie: The Game.

<object width="480" height="390"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube-nocookie.com/v/cySEm8V2R3Y?fs=1&hl=en_US&rel=0"></param><param'>http://www.youtube-nocookie.com/v/cySEm8V2R3Y?fs=1&hl=en_US&rel=0"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube-nocookie.com/v/cySEm8V2R3Y?fs=1&hl=en_US&rel=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="390"></embed></object>

This is the one that does it for me. I never played FFIII originally, but the DS version really hit the right kind of level of classic fantasy and adventure I'm looking for. I guess because it's music was timeless, and its elements gave just enough story to get you going and on your way. The reasons for plot elements, character motivations, classes, etc., are ultimately left up to much of your imagination to feel in the blanks.
