Just been toying around with this for awhile, after taking some inspiration from a post in the last malefic deck posted here. Barring a first turn loop, i haven't lost. Future Visions slows down the game so much especially if it's paired with a vanity's or a skill drain.

either way, i'm just coming to seek opinions and critques.

Doomcal and veiler seem really bad here

If there wasn't a such turn as a first turn loop i wouldn't have two veiler, but if i can't go and set skill drain/other back row, he's needed at the moment. Doomcal has been testing nicely, he still gets his effect even under skill drain, and at worst he's a 1900 beater who gets better game two vs the meta when they side out hand traps for me.

Haven't seen many Malefic decks lately.

Is Royal Tribute not worth it anymore?

I have used royal tribute in the past, in geartown malefics. I don't have a legit reason not to run it, i know its auto-win if drawn turn one, but i'd have to change to fit more draw/deck thinning power

no Doomcal is bad here because it makes your opponents maxx "C"/veilers live against a deck that would otherwise turn them into dead draws.

completely aware of that. i'm still on the fence with the card. i do like it, but for the reason you stated its hard for me to justify keeping it in. it'd probably just be better sided and then sided in, once they take hand traps out. or just not in here at all.
