yeah most of  my wins with rafaam were from KT getting a slowish start and getting aoe when i needed it and legendaries from 3rd staff helping me win

aside from the new ragnaros taking a dump on existing Warcraft lore (jk I don't play wow) I think this is pretty cool

This Friday I managed to finish leveling up Druid and hit legend in the same night. Shoutout to Ammit for his advice on the mirror, as I ended up winning 3 straight mirrors to get to Legend. Due to the sheer quantity of coin-flip or non-favored matchups, I ended up playing quite a few matches overall. If anyone's interested in some metagame type of stuff, I aggregated all my match listings for the month:

Secret Paladin and Zoo, probably to no one's surprise, have the distinction of being the only decks I ran into every single day I was laddering. I was kinda expecting more of an easier path with the "best deck" of Midrange Druid, but I guess if 32% of the field is Secrets/Zoo, I can only steal so many games. One thing that piqued my interest though is the minority of Rogue players. I know there's this thing about Rogue being a sorta "tourney only" class, but I've never really understood that. Is it just that hard to tech a Rogue deck to the meta, or is the class really low power level overall?

Not quite a Healbot replacement, but interesting option for decks that struggle against flood/zoo style token decks.

If only there was a deck we could play that was good against zoo, secret paladin, AND druid

the best comparison is its toshley with a worse body but a better and more immediate payoff (the bananas are comparitively better than most of the spare parts) and while toshley is bad rn, standard is gonna probably knock the curve back down. if newkkla ends up anywhere itll be tempo mage

Newkla seems like one of those cards that is going to make an impact down the road after new lists are standardized and people are looking for little tech edges.

It's a card that is not immediately apparent that its OP, but it's good enough to not be completely passed over.

Agreed on that. I was surprised it wasn't since it would have been a 7 mana 7/7.

Maybe it being 6 mana means you might be able to get the other banana cards.

more beast druid support. also managed to hit r2 yesterday which is the second or third time i've managed to do that. not sure i'll have time to push to legendary though in the next 2 days, unless i get a good run going.
