Just to make sure there's total transparency in how the pairings are determined:

Round 1 was chosen by random.org

Round 2 (top 32) will again be chosen by random.org - I had initially planned to make the bracket portion start from this point but I decided it wasn't fair to just arbitrarily say that the top 4 from last year are automatically the top 4 this year

Round 3 (top 16) will be a bracket and ranking for the bracket organization will be determined by number of votes received in round 2, with ties going back to check round 1 votes. This system won't be objectively power ranking people, because it's gonna end up rewarding people who get paired off against obscure members in the top 32 and give lower ranks to people who won tight matchups, but that just means we have more room for fun matchups and surprise upsets earlier in the bracket

You were brought up by someone who essentially made a third nomination and I had exhausted the list of people who I could facebook message to beg to contribute, so I just went with it since it made an even 60

i didn't even get nominated x D

There's always one big name that gets forgotten.

ACP didn't get nominated then won the following year.

Is this the second time in a row that Deadborder has knocked out paxman? I seem to recall that happening last year

I went back and checked and it turns out I was completely wrong and I have no idea where I got this from

Also I kinda only in the past few hours realized how little you post on dg recently, things that people say between if you click and Facebook just kinda meld into a big file of "things going on in dgzer's lives" in my mind so I can't really tell who's actually active here anymore

Here are your top 16 in order!

1. dennis frogman

2. rap tap

3. Tygo

4. Gojira

5. Satchmo

6. Sharpman

7. canasian

8. rei

9. Liquid Snake

10. white-bordered swamp

11. Paraliel

12. Logic

13. Malcolm

14. LFN

15. Matthew Monahan

16. ...Arson

Quite a few matchups that will be interesting in the top 16, particularly a very early Ash vs. Chris matchup (they've met in the top 4 and the finals the last 2 years) and me and white-bordered swamp in a rematch of last year's top 8 matchup

Actually I don't think Ash and I have ever met.

Yeah I realized I was wrong about last year almost immediately and just didn't have time to edit it, I really thought he made the finals the year you won though. Completely forgot about Wilson making it so far

Speaking of, Wilson went from second place (though I recall a lot of people calling it a fluke) to not even nominated in 2 years. He's obviously missed but I'm kinda glad we have the precedent that kotf is based on who on the forum is most popular in [current year] and not just who's been around longest

LFN is mafia right?

Be kind mafiagroundz.

Last year I was barely knocked out by the winner of the whole thing. Year before that, I barely lost to someone who paid for sloppy seconds on a hooker. Rough beats.

LFN is objectively like the third coolest person on the site IMO.
