Really wish I had a car to come to this, getting out to Springfield is pretty impractical for me as it stands

Perhaps you can carpool with Joe. You should ask.

7 Blue-Eyes

3 Metalfoes (1 running Odd-Eyes and 1 running a lot of Majespecter cards)

2 Burning Abyss/Phantom Knights

1 Majespecter

1 Minerva

1 Majespecter/Magicians

1 Pendulum/Performapals

Pretty expected top cut

can't believe that LS player who didn't even know how Minerva worked topped.

I think I heard this event was somewhere around 180 players? There were bigger midwest regionals this weekend, bad players/decks topping shouldn't be a surprise at all

Finals is a Metalfoe mirror, kinda interesting how the deck ends up being underrepresented by quantity in the top cut but consistently beats out the more represented decks in the bracket portion

It seems like Metalfoe outperforms most decks by a gigantic margin based on representation and topping/winning events. I still have yet to update myself on the new formats decks lol but I watch the streams to try and get an idea. Seems like metalfoe isn't a flashy overkill deck but controls the pace of the game real well.

i ended up not going, but i wanna say good work to my friends that did well

paulie made it the farthest, i wish he had played better in top 4 tho. i havent played in a bit but i still saw some of the shit he was missing vs the void + kirin board. oh well, he'll definitely make stronger finishes in the future granted he continues dueling

Furman's deck list is titled "Kirin/Jowgen/vanilla otk" which pretty much sums up what the deck does

it just happens to be the most consistent/productive pendulum engine we have right now with Performapals/Dracoslayers being so weakened by the banlist and Majespecters not doing anything in the pend zones, and the Pendulum mechanic is so stupid that any deck that can make pendulum summons happen consistently is bound to be playable
