Human Tetherball

please help me get rid of this cat

Recommended Posts

If you seem like a decent person who wants a cat and understands the responsibility involved in properly caring for an animal for the rest of her natural life, routine checkups, medical expenses, etc. being kept primarily indoors; I have a cat to give you. I'm not sure why I chose a YGO forum of all places to look for decent human beings but I've lurked for awhile and have gotten the sense that some here fit that description. As for the cat, story time:

My girlfriend is an animal lover and saint. As a result, we have intervened on stray/hurt animals' behalf more than once and I expect this will be a problem I have for the rest of my life. This "problem" is named Audrey, but she goes by to "lil' girl cat" because we talk like Appalachians, and she's estimated by vets to be three years old. As described in the imgur gallery, she was nursed back to health and has been spayed, given shots, etc. She's an extremely affectionate and friendly cat--if you're a human. She doesn't get along well with other cats most of the time, so she belongs in a one-cat home. Based on her body language and reactions it appears she doesn't know how to communicate with other cats properly, and most invitation-to-play signals she emits to them are false; obviously she doesn't know this and I don't think it can be taught. With people it's totally different. If she comes towards you with her tail high in the air, yes, she does want your attention (she also loves to be chased and have toy mice thrown to her). I think her life before being rescued was rough in no small part due to other cats, whereas humans have done nothing but make her life better, and that's why she's like that, to get psychoanalytical about it. As seen in the images, she sometimes gets along fine with our boys, but it's not a constant.

We expected to be able to find a home for her as easily as we had the previous animal we rescued. Unfortunately this has not been the case. So if you or anyone you know fits the description in the first sentence and understands her relationships with other cats, please let me know. We're willing to drive a considerable distance to make sure she ends up in a place she can be happy for the rest of her life. Yes, her tongue is always sticking out and it hasn't stopped being funny/cute yet.

Thanks for reading.

You're probably better off through local channels, the chance that there's someone here who lives sort of close to you and can/wants to take her in's pretty slim

try reddit.com/r/Kentucky or a subreddit for your city?

OP lives in Kentucky btw, it's in the imgur album

Oh yeah, for sure. We've hooked up with all the local animal lover groups on Facebook and stuff, we're just not getting any hits in our network so the lady asked me to try here too.

We live in KY but we are willing to drive to other neighboring states for the right potential owner.

This was not what I expected when I read the title: thought you had some kind of stalker-cat that kept going to your house and stuff

well, that's not wholly inaccurate.
