Also the skill Balance will be nerfed, but we don’t know how yet 

 

Overall the consensus seems to be that both CA and REZ take a severe hit, but are still top decks

The description on balances new nerf is that it will no longer look at the amount of cards in a deck to determine the balance in your hand -

My guess is it will probably try to always give you 1 monster, 1 spell and 1 trap, then determine your last card on rng. If your deck can't do that (ie all monsters and spells ,no traps for example ) then it will rng 2 cards, as you can't go down another category to rng a third card in your hand as all your cards would be of the 1 type.

That would be extemely broken lol, I can guarantee that’s not the case (it means you could play 1 off any type and guarantee to open it.... also open perfect hands without having to play 5-offs)

 

Someone speculated that spells and traps would be considered the same but that’d be equally broken as it is right now 

 

I honestly think it’ll stay the same except a randomness factor will be added (aka you’ll still “brick” 30% of the time or w/e) - because they also hit Switcheroo pretty hard in the past (and Balance is even better)

Some research was done on Balance post-nerf.

 

So I decided to crack the mystery of the nerfed new BALANCE SKILL and I decided to run a few test duel
 
FORMAT
DECK STRUCTURE (MONSTER/SPELL/TRAP) : STARTING HAND (MONSTER/SPELL/TRAP)
Duel 1: 7/7/7 : 2/1/1
Duel 2: 7/7/7 : 2/1/1
Duel 3: 7/7/7 : 1/1/2
Duel 4: 7/7/7 : 1/1/2
Duel 5: 7/7/7 : 1/1/2
Duel 6: 7/7/7 : 1/2/1
Okay, so my initial hunch is correct, I tested with a 21 card deck because of this. The skill now divide your deck in 3 + 1 random card. But we cant stop testing there, let us bring it back to a 20 card deck.
Duel 7: 7/7/6 : 1/2/1
Duel 8 : 7/7/6 : 2/1/1
Duel 9: 7/7/6 : 2/1/1
Duel 10: 7/7/6 : 2/1/1
Duel 11: 7/7/6 : 2/1/1
Duel 12: 7/7/6 : 1/2/1
Duel 13: 7/7/6 : 2/1/1
Duel 14: 7/7/6 : 2/1/1
Duel 15: 7/7/6 : 2/1/1
Duel 16: 7/7/6 : 1/2/1
Duel 17: 7/7/6 : 2/1/1
Duel 18: 7/7/6 : 1/2/1
Duel 19: 7/7/6 : 1/2/1

By my calculation 20/3 = 6.67, so 7 is supposed to be the perfect value while 6 has a small chance of not starting with that type of card.. but my test cant prove that... yet, so someone please make a 7/7/6 ratio deck and test it out with me if it is actually possible to not draw any of the 6 from one type. In my tests I always have 1 trap from my 6. If something else is going on please share your ideas.
Anyway, the ultimate test continues! 30 card deck!
Duel 21: 10/10/10 : 1/1/2
Duel 22: 10/10/10 : 2/1/1
Duel 23: 10/10/10 : 1/1/2
Duel 24: 10/10/10 : 2/1/1
Duel 25: 10/10/10 : 1/2/1
So my 1/3 + 1 random theory still holds true on a 30 card deck. Now lets try to lower the ratio of 1 card type again..
Duel 26: 11/11/8 : 2/2/0
Okay so a minor adjustment from the 1/3 ratio on a 30 card deck gave me no trap at 1st try, lets test some more.
Duel 27: 11/11/8 : 2/1/1
Duel 28: 11/11/8 : 2/1/1
Duel 29: 11/11/8 : 1/2/1
Duel 30: 11/11/8 : 2/1/1
Thats all for now, I truly believe that my 1st assumption is correct even tho I have yet to prove that a 7/7/6 might get you to a hand of 2/2/0 like the one 30 card test.
 
The 'nerfed' skill can still prevent you from getting a brick hand, although it also prevents you from stacking your starting hands completely.
