NES: Zelda 1

Snes: Zelda: A Link to the Past

Xbox: Halo 2 or Gamecube: Zelda Twilight Princess (so hard to decide)

Xbox 360: Halo 3

no consoles before/after that.

Bonus Round:

GB: Zelda: Links Awakening

GBA: Zelda: Minish Cap

DS: Chrono Trigger (if we count remakes, since I never played it on SNES, otherwise I guess Pokemon Black/White)

Gen 1: Pong system / Pong (lol)

2: Atari 2600 / Yar's Revenge or Berserk

3: NES / Final Fantasy, though Master System / Wonder Boy 3 has a special place in my heart

4: SNES / Chrono Trigger

5: Playstation / Final Fantasy Tactics, though N64 / OOT is tempting

6: PS2 / Shadow of the Colossus, almost said G. Cube / Melee like Ash but the sheer library of PS2 is undeniably great.

7: Not really sure what happened this gen. Many of the best games started going cross platform and being great on PC. Let's go with PS3 / Street Fighter IV, reinvigorated the fighting genre IMO

8: Wii U / Breath of the Wild

bonus round:

GBC / Pokemon Crystal

GBA /Advance Wars

PSP / FFIV complete

Vita / Persona 4 Golden

Arcade / Simpsons Arcade Game

Neo Geo / Garou Mark of the Wolves and Metal Slug Series

CPS2 Arcade / Marvel vs Capcom 2

Command & Conquer

Starcraft

Day of the Tentacle

@rei ff10 hd doesn't count you fucking cop'd out

snes: super mario world

n64: majora's mask

gamecube: metroid prime, windwaker, twilight princess, melee (basically every fucking game that came out for this thing)

ps3: mgs4 guns of the patriots

nintendo switch: breath of the wild

idk where you would count wii u but that shit was revolutionary and would take the place of anything on this list. xbox is literally only good for halo so i dont think thats a solid enough reason to include it in any of the generations.

Well I always have two to three games that interchange in my favorite spots for each console but at this moment of the top of my head:

NES / Kirby

Genesis / Phantasy Star IV

Ps1 / FF7

ps2 / Armored Core Last Raven

ps3 / Ni No Kuni/Armored Core 4 Answer

ps4 / no idea yet. I haven't played enough because of life lol.

I'll steal that bonus round ;p

GBC / Pokemon Silver

GBA / Golden Sun

DS / Dragon Quest IX

PSP / Kingdom Hearts BBS

Vita / Digimon Cyber Sleuth

Going to follow a one game per franchise rule.

1-2: Don't care.

3: NES: Mega Man 2

4: SNES: Can't pick a single game so here's a top 5 (no order):
- EarthBound
- Donkey Kong Country 2

- Final Fantasy 3

- Super Castlevania 4

- Super Mario RPG

5: N64

Single player: Ocarina of Time
Multiplayer: Super Smash Bros.

6: PS2: Kingdom Hearts (San Andreas and Half-Life 2 are technically my favorite games from that generation, but I played those on PC).

7: Wii: Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2 (The Mario RPGs are a different franchise imo)

I prefer Mario 66, it had better immersion and better voice acting.
