China is supposed to become the powerhouse in the world (Economically).

Bush going into Iraq even with a lot of europe against it isn't helping us.

There are laws in war?

Wow, war is not as violent as I thought  ャ_ャ

yes there are "laws" in war as silly as it may sound, it just keeps people from pulling a hitler or stallan.
I know there are laws, but do you think that in war people are going to follow them? If there was a law on banning nukes do you think you'll follow them if you had the rest of the world knocking on your doorstep?

Nah I think you won't.

The United States has a huge advantage, because it's in a middle of nowhere, it's between oceans. So, if other countires besides Canada and Mexico would wage war against the U.S, they'd have to depend on the navy and the airforces. And the U.S. has very strong allies.

However, that huge "advantage" is a huge disadvantage, because we, too, have to rely on airforces and our navy and our army is a bit weak, because we aren't used to it, e.g. Vietnam, Korea, etc.

This is so totally wrong, landing troops in a war so practically useless. You may need troops to control an area but to destroy it you don't have to and won't come anywhere near the ground. If A plane can destroy a whole city block, whats the point of sending in a soldier who cannot.

The reason we lose lives in war is because we are trying to control the area, Iraq, for example most of our casualties took place after the actual war began. Thats because a war involves little troop movement in this era.

In the time of ICBM's geographic isolation means nothing.

America is as safe as the rest of the world physically, and NAFTA is why the USA will ineviatbly fall economically.

Well yes, you're in a growth right now, Canadia, but that Socialistic, "hey-let's-give-everyone-assistance" lifestyle isn't a long-term deal. If the U.S. were to fall, as said before, you would easily follow within the next few years under your own actions / lack thereof.

As for nukes, can't use 'em. In fact, if you think of the serious reprecussions of using a nuke on *insert any country here*, it'd be a flash-burn death of the world, instead of the slow bleed most places are in right now. It's a lot like that kid throwing paper wads at you; you throw them back, or at their friends, and it escalates until everyone's fighting everyone with nukes, napalm, etc. And I'd really, and I mean seriously, love to hear more about how Canadia's tactics "won wars" when the sheer fear of U.S.-and-Russian-made atomic bombs scared the piss out of anyone to try fighting either of us and our allies again (until the USSR collapse, but Russia's coming back, just wait...).

In the VERY end of this, assuming nuclear winter hasn't killed everything but cockroaches and Keith Richards, countries like China, Japan, and India will take over a majority of the world, Europeans will probably take over parts of Africa again, dividing it amongst any surviving Middle-Eastern cultures/countries, and pretty much all of North America (Canadia and Mexicano included) will be a second-world (we'll never be third-world, thankfully, due to machinery that could alternatively be run on things besides dinosaur blood) quagmire for about roughly 2-3 decades. The Koreans will probably be over-run by China before they get their shitty nukes with no fuel off the racks, and Japan and India will deal with the Viets, Cams, etc. into a sort of "equal force" mryth that will eventually form a grand alliance; in essence, Asians and Indians > everyone else in as of roughly 2020+.

That's just an assumption, of course; I actually expect us to blow each other to hell before I'm 40.

I WISH we were invincible in the States, if only to replace the fear of eventual collapse with some cautious optimism.

However, we aren't. Last I checked, the States kinda need at least parts of the rest of the world to be our friend for economic purposes.

As stated by other people, if a large-enough coalition assembled its shit and wanted to take us out, we couldn't retalitate with Nukes unless we want that flash-burn death.

So, with the big bombs out of commission unless we want the world itself to lose, it'd boil down to other resources and tactics.

If that hypothetical coalition went to war with us, trade with them would logically cease, so the longevity of a conflict would depend on who happened to be in this hypothetical coalition. The worst-case would be RestofWorld vs. Us.

To be indestructible, we'd have to survive the worst-case outside of Nuclear War. I don't see the States having enough resources or manpower or anything else to outdo the Rest of the World.

However, if the persons in power would rather have the rest of the world lose with us instead of just us losing, then we'll all end up blowing each other to hell in that Nuclear War.

The preferential thing to do is preserve something close to the status-quo.

The word "Invincible" describes no such thing known to man, everything is able to be destroyed. The simple thought of something being immortal is rediculous because everything has an expiration date. The planet Earth itself is due to be hit by a giant meteor and potentially wipe us out in 5 thousand years, making it imperative that we get our shit together with technology and make colonies on other planets. But anyways, the part about nothing being invincible is a fact, not an opinion. It is HIGHLY unlikely that the U.S. would have a downfall, but isn't impossible.

Listen... everything that has a beginning has an end.. that should answer your question... every "empire", country, or w/e that has existed came to an end, so the U.S will too.. its just a matter of time..

I think that if the USA goes to war with ANY country with weapons of mass destruction (ex. Russia), it won't be the end of just USA...it'll be the end of the world

Indeed, though I don't expect any threats from Russia for a long time, it is simply too poor of a country right now. China is currently sticking to diplomacy, it would most likely come from the obvious place (North Korea) or somewhere in the Middle East. And which could quite likely happen if we keep pushing people there too far, and sticking our collective noses where they do not belong.

China is gonna become the next feared country. Only if China has more technology, such as more firepower and such. Then China would become feared.

However, until that moment, the United States can only go in a downfall by destroying itself. So, only the U.S. can kill the U.S. at the moment.

actualy the so-called war with Russia already happened...The Cold War

Anyway, China is evolving fast, while USA is just going down

Actually so what?

When did I ever say we never had a war with Russia?

I simply said I expect no threat from them anytime in the near future.

My Russian nukes say no they are not ^_^;;

You mean the nukes made BEFORE the Soviet Union collapsed over 15 years ago? Once again, nobody wins a nuclear war.

What people dont take into account is, there are things going on in other countries that are as secret as some of the crap that goes on in the U.S.

In fact, china/russia/vietnam or WHATEVER could be farther along then we think, but we wont know it.

Brown ppl and asians are next in line.

US will die, even after the bush presidency a private organization will rig the elections into another puppet which will just surplus the debt. This will give more money to the rich and less money to the poor.

Bottomline: America is hypocritical and will die.

lol.

US won't fall unless someone drops the bomb on us (I'm surprised it hasn't already happened). War isn't like it used to be folks. Now it's pretty much whoever fires the nukes first wins. I think though that whoever does it first (probably between the US and North Korea) even though doing it for safety will be tsk-tsked by the world. There is no way to win a nuclear war. You saw what a 1940's nuke did in Hiroshima, what makes you think the gov't isn't telling us about the power of nukes now? they could be a 100x more powerful for all we know.

i love to blame Bush for shit since a ton of it is his fault, but i have to admit that when korea drops the bomb on us I'll be more mad at Kim Jong-il.

you've also got to realize that all of US's administrators are war criminals. Though it was done by means that many of us in the US don't agree with, Saddam was officially elected to his position. Removing him was against Geneva rules. I know most of you in this thread probably know this but for those who are not up to date with stuff need to know that.
