New rule (Aug 19 2011) - If you submit your deck as image files, please also accompany it with a text decklist. We dont like your image hosts dying, some images aren't clear, etc. Just take the time to type it out or CP the decklist from YVD. Thanks

Thank you,

3 new "rules" added

1. Each user may only have 2 active deck threads at a time, lowered from 3. This is to adress the issue of certain users flooding deck threads.

2. Joke or Troll decks will not be tolerated. We want the deck garage to be a place where you can look up good builds and get useful feedback. Joke/troll decks are decks that are posted without any intention of playing. I'm talking about decks like: 1 leg of exodia with no other pieces. We don't tolerate spam in other threads, there's no reason it should be tolerated here either.

3. MOST IMPORTANT - All new deck threads must have the deck type somewhere in the title or topic description

Its OK to have a funny or absurd title

Its OK to have a funny or absurd description

We aren't here to suck out the fun.

But somewhere, the deck type must be visible from the thread directory

Examples:

title: Best deck

description: BW

is fine

title: New Format BW

description: Best deck

is fine

title: best deck

description: better than your deck

is not fine

If we see this, we will edit your title. After a grace period, we will start locking threads that do not give a deck description in the title/description

After a grace period, we will start locking threads that do not give a deck description in the title/description

It's been 3 weeks and I still see people posting decks with absolutely no description. Consider the grace period over. From here on out we will be locking threads without descriptions.

Pojo's copying us on this.

Thread Title [Descriptors]

We're trying something new in an effort to make this forum a bit more useful for those contributing to it. As you've noticed, thread titles now have [descriptor tags], so that people can tell what kind of deck you've made. The reality is that you can make a brilliant deck, post it here, and even a large portion of the people already interested in that specific kind of deck won't click on it because your title doesn't describe the deck you've put so much effort into.

lol

DGZ - we're always ahead of the game

Some one should fix the coding in the OP it's gone.

Cool, this can be deleted or it can just sit here, whatever.

Maybe it would be good to have the extra deck included as a mandatory rule. Nowadays it is as much about fixing the extra deck as it is the main and if you wanna copy someones ideas (i do sometimes to test on DN) it is nice to know what should be in the extra without having to figure it out.

I'm really thinking there should be a like, 300-500 post rule on posting a deck in the deck garage

If someone has a really good idea, or a good pic.dek with analysis, they could pm a mod for approval.

Just an idea, with the influx or new members comes an influx of shitty decks and wasteful topics

Does the "only have 2 topics on the first page" rule still apply? Feels like posting decks has slowed down lately.
