What I'm Watching Summer 2019 Edition

Carry Overs From Spring 2019

Carole and Tuesday

Kimetsu No Yaiba

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind

Summer 2019 Anime I am going out my way to watch

GranBlem - IS THIS THE MAGICAL GIRL MECHA FATE SERIES WE DIDNT REALIZE WE WANTED!!! High Hopes For This.

Cop Craft -

Kono Yo No Hatte

Vinland Saga - Seems like a run of the mill period piece + coming of age story.

Dr. Stone - This seems like it's going to be the most overrated show this year. I'm calling it now.

Enn Enn no Shouboutai - Plot is simplistic, but it seems like your typical shounen action series. Not much hope for this one.

Is it Wrong to Pick Up Girls In A Dungeon Second Season -

Summer 2019 Anime That Intrigue Me

Given - Could be really glad or could be a better Kono Oto

BEM - Feels like that Angels of Death anime from last summer.

Katsu Kami Datta

Lord Melloi - I've watche the other fate things so why not.

Things I am watching because they are on Hulu and I have easy access

Demon Lord, Retry - It's like they took everything good about Overlord, removed it from the Series, and this is what we were left with.

Astra - First episode was like the first two episodes, but it seems decent. The animation quality and shot composition are solid. The plot is spoonfed to you and the main girl is annoying, but I have high hopes.

Updated with some first episode impressions

Finished After the Rain because a few friends said this was one of the best shows of last year. I passed on this one when it was airing because the premise seemed so awful. I mean high school girl falls in love with 45 year old manager at her part time job has the makings of just being awful and potentially reprehensible no matter how interesting its imagery is. But it manages to be thoughtful, earnest, and even touching. Definitely shocked by how this one turned out. Definitely one of the better shows that aired last year.

After continuing the slog that his been this season's releases. I think O Maidens in Your Savage Season is looking to be one of the most interesting shows from this season. Again color me shocked, because it seems like Mari Okada hasn't helmed anything relevant in ages and again the premise seems awful, but surprisingly this is the show I'm most excited for this season.
