It is the Top 8 here at GPC Madrid, and the first feature we have today is a repeat of a match earlier in the tournament! Jimmy Cheung vs. Michael Steinman! In the previous match, in the very first round of this tournament, Jimmy and his Malefics had been soundly defeated by defending champion Michael Steinman's Agents. However, Jimmy has battled back from a Round 1 loss to take 8th place (the last spot) in GPC Madrid and is now facing the defending champion again! Will Mike trash this upstart or will Jimmy upset the scales with his antimeta deck? Let's find out!

Game 1
Jimmy Cheung going first

Cheung opens with 2 copies of Upstart Goblin, drawing 2 cards while Steinman gains 2000 Life Points. Cheung follows up with Trade-In, discarding Beast King Barbaros to draw 2 cards. He then sets a Field Spell, and activates Terraforming to add Geartown to his hand. He sets a new Field Spell, triggering his set Geartown to Special Summon Ancient Gear Gadjiltron Dragon in ATK. Cheung then sets 1 card to his backrow and flips Geartown face-up and ends.

Cheung draws and Steimna flips Trap Dustshoot, revealing Gravekeeper's Commandant, Malefic Stardust Dragon, Malefic Cyber End Dragon, and Necrovalley; Steinman sends Malefic Stardust Dragon back to the deck. Cheung sends Geartown to the graveyard to set another Field, then Special Summons a 2nd Ancient Gear Gadjiltron Dragon from his deck. He attacks with both monsters for 6000 and Steinman drops Tragoedia after the 2nd attack. Cheung flips Necrovalley face-up and ends.

In his Main Phase 2, Cheung banishes Cyber End Dragon from his Extra Deck to Special Summon Malefic Cyber End Dragon; Steinman activates Solemn Warning to negate the Summon. Cheung then discards Gravekeeper's Commandant to add Necrovalley to his hand, then he activates Royal Tribute to force Steinman to discard Archlord Kristya and Master Hyperion. Cheung ends.

Steinman opens with Tour Guide From the Underworld, which brings its trustworthy Sangan to the field in defense. Steinman then sets 4 cards to his backrow and ends.

Cheung plays Terraforming for Geartown, then Normal Summons Beast King Barbaros. Barbaros attacks Tour Guide but Steinman activates Dimensional Prison to banish it. Cheung then activates Geartown but Steinman chooses to Solemn Judgment it. Unfortunately for Steinman, Geartown does not need to be on the field to trigger so Cheung Special Summons an Ancient Gear Gadjiltron Dragon from his deck anyway! Cheung then sets 2 backrow and ends.

Steinman Summons AoM - Earth, adding AoC - Venus to his hand. He then sets 2 backrow and ends. Cheung activates Mystical Space Typhoon in the End Phase, destroying a set Dark Hole.

Cheung attacks over Earth with Gadjiltron Dragon for 2000 next turn, then ends.
