IIRC, there has never been a battle of the videogames, seems like a no-brainer.

I think you should have to ace a multiple choice history quiz on the battle subject in order to vote. (If you cheat then at least you now have some fricken' knowledge.)

That is never normally a problem, I think the only contest which actually had a good portion of active posters voting was the cartoon one. Mainly because of this:

Battle of Videogame Characters- I only play CoD.
Battle of the Anime- I only watch Bleach/Naruto.
Battle of the Anime Characters- Mann...Sasuke lost first round, why bother?
Battle of the Albums- Where is Tha Carter III?
Battle of the Artists- Where is Lil Wayne?
Battle of the Movies- No Transformers?
Battle of the Cartoons- Awww yeaah.

The cartoon battle was literally the first one in which more than 5% of the active DGz population had seen enough of the nominations to come back and vote round by round, which is why shows like Family Guy and American Dad made it so far.

I like Female Anime Characters as it removes a lot of the "OH SHIT THEY KILLED A MILLION PEOPLE / ARE GOKU / ETC" ... and I think Lucy isn't as popular as she once was on this site.


I also like the video games idea.
