Started watching Hyouka. I cant get over the fact that the VAs for Hotaro and Satoshi played Okazaki and Sunohara in Clannad.

COINCICIDENCE!? I THINK NOT! Its pretty ok so far. Nothing too special imo.

And yeah I gotta watch Binbougami, will probably do it tonight. Same with the new episode of Dog Days as well.

NGE is getting pretty good. I can't believe how slow it is, all the significant memories of the series happen 10 or more episodes after when you think they do. If you had to put a jumbled puzzle of them into the right order, you'd be so off.

That space is spent on character development, really good stuff, too. You like the characters more once you've seen them go through it all once, yet they still seem different somehow.

so i finished watching drrrrrrr for the first time and I got say it was pretty good. thing is the beginning sets it up well, but all the conclusions seem irrelevant to each other and they seemed lack luster. i also wished they explained why the dad doctor did what he did

mushishi ep 18... dunno what it is but i didnt really appreciate the first 10-12 episodes but its really kicked in now a bit.

i like it when ginko talks and gives advice. stories were a bit simple at the start but they've gotten way better as it goes on.

Persona 4: the Animation:

My favorite aspect of the show is all the deep symbolism. The physical battle of titans is all symbolic of the real fights among the characters, the character development is directly linked to the battles-- when you begin to doubt yourself, your persona is losing; when you retort the villain's argument, you deal a death blow; when your friends come together and have your back, your personae fuse and attack.

But not just the battles, that's the icing on the cake. It's the whole series (and franchise) that's a massive metaphor. The enemies created by the villains, the villains themselves, the impending doom that threatens to engulf the world-- all of it is not just fantastical storytelling, they represent real attitudes of humans and a real issue of the nature of humanity that could cause the end of society.

Every time I get interested in learning about Persona, I feel like I can't find the so-called one that 3 and 4 are refering to. Can someone dispel me of my worries or where to look to first to read/watch/play/etc this series?

It's one of the top RPG series. It got a massive boost in popularity due to the greatness of the PS2 titles Persona 3: FES, and Persona 4, due to the unique hybrid gameplay and unforgettable characters. I found them on ebay, if I ever found them in town they were pretty damn expensive.
