Pokemon Tower Defense
It puts a pretty cool twist on tower defense. Sorry if it's old or whatever. Found it and thought it was pretty cool.
Mystery Gift Codes:
381rm1n4 - Shiny Charmander
s16928o4 - Shiny Abra
P0K35644 - Shiny Zubat
01543oN4 - Shiny Rattata
5231 - Shiny Geodude (Challenge 1 Must Be Completed)
To get a Jynx, you must have a Poliwhirl on your team and fielded for Cerulean Gym. After the battle, a trainer will trade his Jynx for your Poliwhirl.

you guys know you can grind, right?
also brock was fucking easy.
the only hard part about this game so far was catching nidoran female, lol.
I hope the next levels actually get updated.

after you lose the first time w/ brock, place another pokemon you caught in the first party slot. they steal the first slot, not specifically your starter.
after that, easy win.
after that, easy win.

I tried this yesterday and it did not work. They specifically steal your starter, not the first pokemon. So play something other than your starter on your team.after you lose the first time w/ brock, place another pokemon you caught in the first party slot. they steal the first slot, not specifically your starter.
after that, easy win.
Brock should've been harder TBH. Without my Squirtle vs. his team of all rocks I shouldn't have been able to win on the 2nd try (the rock collapse thing killed me).
I had trouble in the Viridian Forest. That trio of Pikachu in the last wave were really fast and it took me a lot of work to get them all dead.

Took me forever to catch a Pikachu,

pikachu is pretty beast, but honestly it's overshadowed a lot by beedrill/butterfree. I was really dubious about metapod (caught it to fill the 6th slot) but its fucking stringshot puts in major work. and then after evolving confusion is ridiculous. butterfree oneshots like everything in viridian/pewter gym at level 10-13 lol.
those pikachu in viridian were a pain in the ass until I got beedrills/metapod. and set my pidgey on gust instead of quick attack. gust really knocks the shit out of bugs.
my team after quitting was:
ivysaur lv16
pidgeotto lv18
beedrill lv15
beedrill lv15
mankey lv 15
butterfree lv15

You seem overleveled as hell, man

afaik levels don't actually mean anything in this game other than evolutions + new moves.

catch a pikachu and level it up until it learns t wave. 3 pikachu in veridian forest are easy as pie when pikachu slows them down.

V. Forest was so hard untill I got 2 Butterfree's and a Beedril, Pidget w/Gust. Brock was easy. Game is extremely fun. Cant wait for the next update

No Pikachu ever have red health bars for me, they're green right up until they die

I can't play it, don't know why. Link just doesn't load.

Brock is pissing me off. He took away my starter, then when I switched my starter to my second slot, it took away my pidgey which is my second strongest.

This applies to me as well. No matter how small their health is :[

pikachu is fragile, yes, which is why you use pidgey + gust.

Posted 07 April 2011 - 07:12 PM
Ah. I see how it is now. There are other pikachu that aren't part of the wave of 3 in the last round. It's a very rare encounter though and they go much slower than the last round pikachus
#21

are they rare? I always seem to get 2-3 in the early rounds and then the group of 3+ at the end.
#22
Posted 07 April 2011 - 10:18 PM
I've only seen them in one run through Viridian. Although I'm starting to kill the pokes easily right when they spawn so maybe that's why.

I still can't play

I love how you can macro and adjust strategy mid game, totally needs to be expanded upon.

Always play the newgrounds version by the way. It's the one that's constantly being updated I believe.
Also, go to mystery gift and input 5234. Infinite Lv.1 Shiny Pidgeys! Also, Rock Blast Graveler kills everything so far.

yes.
#30
Posted 27 April 2011 - 04:06 PM
Yeah. Route 3, Viridian Forest 2 (best place to grind atm) and Mt. Moon 1. The guy said he'll try to update every weekend.

the way I've been grinding in vf2 is:
[grind poke]......[def/spd lower]........[def/spd lower].......[grind poke]
[ ].....................................[ ]...............................[ ].....................................[ ]
[ ]...............................................................................................................[ ]
[graveler]....................................................................................[graveler]
that way I keep all of the money and still get pretty good exp.
iirc I have at least one of everything I can get?
charmeleon lv25
butterfree lv25
beedrill lv25
pidgeotto lv25
shiny pidgeotto lv25
raticate lv25
fearow lv25
fearow lv25
raichu lv25
sandslash lv25
nidoqueen lv25
nidoking lv25
clefable lv25
wigglytuff lv25
golbat lv25
parasect lv25
mankey lv25
graveler lv25
shiny graveler lv25
I really wish I'd picked red though. arbok >>>> sandslash and growlithe is coming next week. maybe he'll release some codes for the version exclusives/starters ;[

what's the password to get the shiny geodude?
#33
Posted 27 April 2011 - 06:26 PM
I think it's different for every game. you just have to beat the challenge level or w/e it's called. it's really easy.
#34
Posted 27 April 2011 - 06:31 PM
what do oyu do that its easy? i mean i barely played it but it seemed like complete bullshit
#35

It's 5231 but you need to complete the challenge in order to make it valid.
All you really need to do for the challenge is set Pidgey on Sand Attack, Charmander on Ember, Rattata on Quick Attack and the others on string shot. The string shot will slow down the onyxs and charmander and rattata will wear them down little by little. You're going to have to do some moving around though. If the Onyx that gets the pokeball is out of Pidgey's Sand Attack Range, move him. The onyx should drop the ball and continue moving forward and another Onyx should come by to get the ball and take it to another direction. Just have Pidgey and your two attackers follow the pokeball and sooner or later the challenge is yours.
The only weird thing I encountered with this however is that sometimes the string shots will make the onyx so slow that they'll drop the ball and still pick it up due to their slowness. Try experimenting with different positions (or maybe not use string shot at all) until you get the strat to work.
Hope this helped!

lol i started to do the strategy and the onix randomly turned around so i just swarmed each one individually and beat it.

can you save your progress in this game? o_O
#38
Posted 27 April 2011 - 11:35 PM
it automatically saves your progress.
you can also save it to their server with your email. it's one of the options after "start."

does anyone else find it annoying to grind against Butterfree in Viridian Forest 2? i mean i usually kill 2-3 each swarm but even with t wave/scary face/string shot they still go pretty fast and they always randomly use harden.
