1. IRL Budget(ish) Paleozoic

So i built this deck recently using stuff my friends got me and whatever i could grab cheap online. the extra deck is incomplete and suggestions are welcome for that, fixes for the main are also welcome though prefaribly cheap-ish cards, budget is the biggest reason for one particularly large omission (Toadally Awesome) 3x Swap Frog 2x Ronintoadin 3x Dupe Frog 3x Tin Goldfish(This is the section i'm most concerned about, friend reccomended them but i only have 1 rank 4 and i rarely draw 2 of these cards together to grab said xyz, i think i did it once when i already had an established board and really didnt need it) 1x Silent Angler (see above) 3x Wetlands 2x Terraforming 3x Mirror Force 2x Magic Cylinder 1x Compulsory Evacuation Device 2x Paleozoic Leanchoilia 2x Paleozoic Dinomischus 3x Paleozoic Canadia 3x Paleozoic Pikaia 3x Paleozoic Olenoides 3x Paleozoic Marrella 1x Paleozoic Halucinogena 3x Paleozoic Opabinia 3x Paleozoic Anomalicaris 2x Number 45: Crumble Logos the Prophet of Demolition 1x Number 37: Hope Woven Dragon Spider Shark 2x Gachi Gachi Gantetsu Side: (subject to substantial change) 3x Mystical Space Typhoon 3x Galaxy Cyclone 1x Paleozoic Leanchoilia 2x Paleozoic Halucinogena 2x Paleozoic Eidonia 1x Paleozoic Dinomischus 1x Imperial Order 2x Kuribandit For the monsters, its just the standard frog stuff with a small rank 4 engine i wouldnt mind replacing. it was reccomended by a friend but not really working. the main cards are swap and ronintoadin swap dumps ronin or a dupe to revive ronin. ronin stays out pretty often with 2k def to block or make a quick xyz play. for the spells, wetlands is basically my wincon short of repeated swinging with Xyz since it turns paleos into 2400 beatsticks and even swap frog goes to 2200. plus a few cards these days have low enough def that a powered up ronin can take them out if i set them down first. the traps are all i could gather, though i did grab a dinosmasher's fury SD at my locals so i do have quaking mirror force if i dont decide to sell it. (might grab a couple more and try to build dinos, always good to have multiple options) mirror force is good board removal if they dont have anything to stop it, only one guy predicted it and put his ultimate conductor in def before swinging. magic cylinder is a nice game ender or just some quick damage if i need it. the paleos i chose were for the best effects like popping backrow, sending other traps, drawing. dinomischus is good being a straight banish but it does target and it requires a discard so i only play 2, one halucinogen is to make up numbers and its a nice battle surprise, leano is good for recycling paleos that got banished, but since its not always active i cut it to 2. the extra deck is whatever i could grab cheap, a friend reccomended cat shark and he might get me one, if not i might try to grab one. Crumble Logos is a surprisingly good card, the paleo Xyz are essential to the deck, i havent played gachi once so it could easily go same with spider shark if i decide to cut the level 4s, if i do pick up toad sometime i dont need bahamut shark to get it out so the rank 4s arent neccesary anyway. for the side, kuribandit is a good earlygame card to set up the grave with paleos. backrow hate is backrow hate though i dont think i need all of it. the paleos in the side are the ones i dont run in the main in case i need something like a quick power boost, an additional banish or to weaken some strong monsters. imperial order i pulled in my duelist saga packs i got the last time i was at locals and has helped a couple of times. the decks i usually face at locals are shaddoll trains, blue-eyes, a guy was playing new dinos today and there's a couple of spyral players. the biggest problem i (and everyone) else had was this guy playing invoker cybers. i couldnt do anything, he 2-0 me in about 10 minutes. any advice would be very helpful, as i said improvements would be best if they were budget choices. i don't need all the absolute best most expensive cards if something slightly cheaper does the same job. Thank you!
2. Junk OTK

So I was going through old decks I made and noticed I made this when the synchron strucuture was still OCG side. It's an attempt at a otk deck with the new cards that came out of that deck, namely Rush Warrior and Scrap Fist. Scrap Fist makes Junk Warrior unaffected by opponent effects until the end of the damage step, as well as deal piercing damage and double battle damage, which makes it one of the best "end game" cards in the game right now I believe. Rush Warrior is an Honest for any "Warrior" named  Synchro type monster, and doubles the monsters atk during damage calculation. I tried to combine this with junk warriors original effect with doppel warrior, to make junk warrior 3100 or more normally, as well as combining united we stand with tokens to boost the atk more. I was thinking now that the deck is legal it could be something to try out again for fun and for those on a budget. ideas that have came to mind have been frogs/ nimbles to make junk warrior's effect have more atk when summoned/ more synchro xyz options, but I've been busy lately and need to dedicate more time to testing. The extra needs a rehaul I believe and a side deck needs to come into the works, but for now here is a list.    Monsters; 19 3 Junk Synchron 3 Quickdraw Synchron 3 Synchron Carrier 3 DoppelWarrior 3 Rush Warrior 3 Level Eater 1 Quillbolt Hedgehog   Spells; 18 3 Scrap Fist 3 United We Stand 3 Upstart Goblin 3 Tuning 3 Reinforcement of the Army 1 Raigeki  1 Foolish Burial 1 Mind control   Traps; 3  3 Royal Decree   Extra; 15 3 Junk Warrior 1 T.G. Hyper Librarian 1 Junk Gardna 1 Junk Archer 1 Junk Berserker 1 Junk Destroyer 1 Road Warrior 1 Turbo Warrior 1 Nitro Warrior 1 Drill Warrior  1 Jet Warrior 1 Accel Synchron 1 Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier   I feel this is really basic but could be fleshed out into something ok to take to tournaments. In the current metagame I think it would have trouble with satellars and psyframes mostly due to trap cards and hand traps negating my combo's and cards. I will add the pic later, but for now thanks for reading.
3. First Shot at Magic

32 4 Fyndhorn Elves 4 Elvish Mystic 4 Llanowar Elves 4 Karametra's Acolyte 4 Polukranos, World Eater 4 Wolfir Silverheart 3 Boon Satyr 3 Eternal Witness 3 Strangleroot Geist   3 3 Green Sun's Zenith   3 3 Garruk Wildspeaker   21 21 Forest   So this deck is for casual play, so I basically can use any cards I want. But I am trying to make it a budget build as much as possible. I really like the idea of Mono-Green ramping with the Elves. Also, I made the deck with a very Yugioh-esque mindset and I tried to take what I knew from Yugioh and apply it to Magic (which could be good and could be bad, idk).    My first thought was I want to see the Elves asap so I can first turn Ramp 1-3 Elves to make my 2nd Turn applicable for some big drops right off the bat.    For my big drops, I saw World Eater and all I could think of is Dark Hole. Not only that, it has a 5/5 body to boot so I can pressure my opponent for damage and then "Dark Hole" off threats when need be.   Green Sun's Zenith was basically Emergency Teleport except for just anything. Only reason I'm not playing 4 is because I don't have space.   I was playing Summoner's Pact (which was RoTA so obviously with Yugioh logic you play max of it), but I could only use it early game if I drew solid with Elves. Other than that, it was going to be mid-game when I used it and by that time, I would've drawn into some solid creatures to put down on the board. I opted to play more creature options than to use these.   Strangleroot Geist was for those slow-ish hands and also just seems like a great creature in general.   Wolfir Silverheart is probably one of my favorite cards in this deck. Making my Elves suddenly a threat along with it being a decent body itself is super awesome imo. Getting this off of Sun's Zenith is super cool too. Having 2 on board makes it even cooler.   Karametra just seemed ridiculous to me. I don't want to pay for Nykthos, and this card is a great substitution. This card basically opens me up to so much mana, which this deck is all about.   Eternal Witness is cool because I can retrieve Zenith with it. At first the core idea was 4 Eternal, 4 Zenith, and 4 Summoner's Pact. But due to space and previously mentioned reasonings for no Summoner's Pacts, I dropped Eternal down to 3. It's still a solid card and let's me re-use World Eater. Again, thinking about it in a Yugioh sense, being able to recycle my Dark Hole that I play 4 of just seems impossible to pass up. Also, going Zenith -> Eternal, get back the Zenith is cute.   Garruk Wildspeaker is my game ender if I get it to use it's last ability. Trampling over everything is a super solid play. I don't want to pay for Craterhoof Behemoths, so this is a fair replacement. Also, untapping 2 Forests for me to keep going Aggro is obviously very useful. Making 3/3 Tokens is pretty solid too. I would definitely prefer Caller of Beasts though, but sadly too expensive for me :(     tl;dr - Ramp. Pressure with beaters. Loop Dark Hole.  ----------------   Anyway, there's the explanations for the deck. I am extremely new to Magic and I'm mainly just playing casually, but I love deck building in Yugioh so I couldn't help the need to want to deck build in Magic as well. I hope my explanations made some sense and I would love advice with this deck from people who actually know how to deckbuild in Magic rather than me just trying to incorporate Yugioh logic into a Magic deck which I'm sure isn't a very good strategy haha. Hoping DGz can help me get better at Magic deckbuilding :)   P.S. - Remember I'm trying not to play too much for this deck, probably keep the deck under 100 bucks.

6. Coming Back

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kPC_evpbwDM   I've been away from playing this game IRL for more than half a year, and now I've decided to give it a try again. I'm mostly going to play at locals, so I don't want to spend a lot of money on cardboard. Therefore, I took some inspiration from fanfingtastics' post and this is what I came up with.   Monsters: [8] [3] Swift Scarecrow [3] Maxx "C" [2] Lava Golem   Spells: [5] [2] Chain Strike [2] Pot of Duality [1] One Day of Peace   Traps: [27] [3] Accumulated Fortune [3] Reckless Greed [3] Just Desserts [3] Secret Barrel [3] Dimension Wall [3] Waboku [3] Legacy of Yata-Garasu [3] Jar of Greed [2] Ojama Trio [1] Threatening Roar   Side deck: [15] [3] Wattcobra [2] Volcanic Queen [1] Lava Golem [3] Mystical Space Typhoon [1] Heavy Storm [3] Dark Bribe [2] Threatening Roar   FIrst of all, the only reason I chose to forego Cardcars were money. I don't want to spend 50 $ a piece on cards. I chose to run Maxx "C"s instead, to still have some drawpower and some disruption. I decided not to tun Fader because of Gaia Dragon piercing it. The rest of the main is pretty standard. I'm testing the Dimension Walls right now, and I don't know if I like them, but I don't see any better replacements.   For the side, there's the obvious Wattcobra. I decided to side last two Roars because I wanted to be able to protect my Cobras from battle. Storm and MST is mainly for Decree and other disturbing continuous cards. Queen/3rd Golem is for LADDs, Barkions, JInzos etc. I took the idea of Dark Bribes against EEV from fanfingtastics' post.   Finally, I don't want to hear anything about how bad the game is right now and why I should start playing again. I have followed the game on here the last couple of months and I know a bit about the state of the game. You all play this game as well, so please let me have part in the fun. I really want and appreciate your help to build this and get started again.   Thanks in advance!

9. Rock Stun

In my earlier thread, I came to the conclusion that Rock Stun would be a great deck for me to build, considering I own nothing, have the shallowest pockets ever, and don't plan on buying an extra deck anytime soon. I don't plan to win any events with this, but its more something to toy around with for fun and go to locals with. I still feel it could be edited here and there and made into a more "finished" product. This is what I've got so far: [3] Koa'ki Meiru Guardian [3] Koa'ki Meiru Sandman [3] Koa'ki Meiru Wall [3] Fossil Dyna Pachycephalo [3] Legendary Jujitsu Master [1] Morphing Jar [1] Neospacian Grand Mole [1] Gaia Plate the Earth Giant [3] Pot of Duality [3] Solidarity [2] Smashing Ground [2] Mystical Space Typhoon [1] Monster Reborn [1] Dark Hole [1] Heavy Storm [1] Book of Moon [2] Bottomless Trap Hole [2] Solemn Warning [2] Dimensional Prison [1] Mirror Force [1] Torrential Tribute
